I learned a chord on the guitar. Yeah, I know, been a couple of years, but my fingers are old and don't move so well. Just been trying to move simply between strings. So far, I can pluck a few sounds that don't sound like complete and total garbage. And I'm good with that. 53 years and a lot of damaging miles behind me, I'll take a little, it'll last me a long way. My biggest problem is that my fingers are so big, even straight on I touch the other strings next to the ones I'm supposed to be using, which messes up the tone. still, I'll keep plugging on.

mr_cleome and I got the kitchen floor (which was embarrassingly grody from a month-plus of neglect) re-sealed/coated, after I swept and scrubbed it down really well. We each did half and then met in the middle, so to speak.

Then I bought us swanky take-out salad, sandwiches, and mini-cheesecakes so we could have a nice dinner while we waited for it to dry/set. (He picked the food up so I could rest my aching dogs.)


It's not "showroom perfect" after about two years of use, of course. But it's close.

I put an Ibanez AS73 on layaway. I'm having to pay in installments, but it's a jim dandy little semi-hollow body electric. I got to try it out today. Plucked a few sounds, kinda embarrasing that I'm still so bad. Sam, my son, sat down and immediately coaxed several little riffs out of it that sounded like a fusion of punk jazz psychedelic rock out of it in about 3 seconds flat. Yeah, see if he gets to play with it after it's paid for.

Hope this works because i suck a figuring this stuff out. But, this is a pic of the guitar. I'm working more and more trying to learn just to make it worthwhile to get this.

You almost had it. Just remove the extra "http://" from the start. I'm no expert on guitars but it looks pretty cool.

Thanks, Thoth. Yup, that's it. Olive green. There was an electric blue one that I wanted that was only $350, the as53. The color was like an electric neon blue. This is the olive mint green. But, the sound is the thing. And it sounds excellent. Can't wait to get it paid for and get it home.

And she's home with me now. dream sounds from it. Well, when my son plays it. I'm still so bad, but I'm learning. Heck, I can even manage one smooth move from one string to the next. Just one. Then my fingers tangle. But, I'm learning. Set my sights on House of the Rising Sun. That one I think I can learn.
