Post-Crisis Superman had a rich, interesting supporting cast IMO. Bibbo, Prof. Hamilton, I think Kitty Faulkner showed up around that time too, Guardian, Matrix Supergirl had some interesting stuff, the orphanage, project CADMUS... thanks for this walk down memory lane, stile!

Yes Kitty Faulkner was an early addition to the cast and I have enjoyed seeing her continued use and development.

Yes Kitty Faulkner was an early addition to the cast and I have enjoyed seeing her continued use and development. That era of Superman is my favorite, though many here rightfully decry its negative impact on the Legion. When Loeb, Waid, Kelly and others came in and started revising it all to more resemble Silver Age Supes again, the end of this tremendous era was imminent and Superman titles haven't had thatbavid following ever since for any extended amount of time. Sure, Jurgens and the others were running out of juice when they took over, but they could have built from that foundation instead of slowly demolishing everything. (I feel the ame way about the reboot Legion being callously--and more suddenly--discarded for the Threeboot and the continuous "re-imaginings" that have followed.)

Indeed, there was such a rich foundation and cast in Metropolis... that era of Superman really brought the city alive for me.
and I do completely agree re thrashing the Reboot for the Threeboot, and thrashing the Threeboot again...
