Better than being with someone with an obsession with early '90s image. That's a lot of space steroids to guzzle to keep with her ideas of anatomy.

Punim is Yiddish slang for face. Not to be confused with Purim, which is a Jewish holiday happening late next month.

To "rip" can also mean to tear something in English.
However, R.I.P. means something much different. But my younger son tends to pronounce that as "rip" , as well. I don't know if that's common with his generation. I don't remember any of my friends saying, for example, "rip, John Lennon" or what-not.

I guess I was ahead of my time, because I've always phoneticized stuff that way: RIP/rip, CIA/see-a, FBI/fubby, ROTFLMAO/rot-full-mah-oh, ETC/a-tick...

"The Brainiac" was the North American title of an old Mexican horror movie called "El Baron del terror" ("The Baron of Terror.") It was pretty gross for its time, because... ...the title monster snacked on human brains, either leeching them out with his tongue in demon form, or gobbling them by the spoonful in his human disguise.

There's a scene in the first chapter of Bob Fingerman's Minimum Wage comic where the lead character's roommate is sampling cow brains. He's not sure if he likes them but feels compelled to keep eating them to make sure. Uh... waste not, want not, I guess.

This makes me think of the monkey brains scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

That movie, because of its violence and grossness, was partly responsible for the creation of the PG-13 rating. Gremlins had something to do with it, too.

The pre Hays code films offer a different look into what might have been in movies.

I've seen some of those drift by my YouTube suggestions once in a while. Alas, I have 0 attention span these days and can't commit to watching entire movies.

I'm the same, only watch movies at home, so if I get bored I can stop and do something else.

I watch, typically, 3-6 movies per year at the theater. These include Star Wars, MCU, DC movies and maybe the odd horror flick. In 2020, I saw zero movies this way for obvious reasons.

I have no plans to watch MCU Phase Four, which will launch in November with Eternals. I am, however, reading the new Eternals comic book maxi-series by Kieron Gillen & Esad Ribic. I was going to review the first issue in the Gym'lls forum, but I feel in my gut I should wait until at least after issue 3 or 4. That said, my initial impressions of issue 1 were more favorable than unfavorable.
