It took five years for this relaunch, and Bendis had a year plus of lead time. I'd rather have a book being published that could improve than no book at all.

Yes a whole year or more to plan, and yet the book saw delays due to creative decision reversals ( Black Lighting and white Bouncing Boy) and every issues except for 2 out of 12 had a minimum of 2 weeks or more delay from the solicited publish date.
