The newer art seems... flatter? Less fluid? At least to me. I'm not an expert on animation, however.
One of the very best original-series Pinky and the Brain appearances was in their Disney homage: "The Brain's Apprentice." Just beautiful work. I suspect many people missed it because the show was on its way out at that time.

Slappy is arguably the best character of the entire line-up, so her omission is possibly the worst, imo. Slappy was hilarious!

Here's the new opening on Youtube. I agree that it seems like a shame to not use any other characters or create new ones. The additional lyrics are pretty funny, but it is hella awkward going from "Meet Pinky & the Brain who want to rule the universe..." to jokes.

Though it sounds contradictory, I think the way they lampshaded the absence of the secondary characters in one of the sketches is both funny and clever. (Not saying which one, because I don't want to spoil it for you.)

We had chocolate fondue with Guittard chocolate at Thanksgiving. Of course, there's only two of us so there was a whole jar's worth left. It makes a really good base for hot chocolate.

I have a Better Homes & Gardens desserts cookbook from the 1950s which refers to sprinkles as "shot."
I wonder if anyone who wasn't writing cookbooks ever used that term.
