Happy Birthday, EDE. Thought you'd appreciate this little anecdote -- since cleaning out my storage unit recently, I've been perusing a big stack of photocopies I made back in the 1990s of the best Golden Age of Comics artwork I could find at the time. Even better, I also found some photocopies I made from books at my library which reproduced vintage magazine illustrations, from such talents as Alfred Parker and Jon Whitcomb. Like you, I was a believer long before the internet made it easy to be.

I was just looking at Calamity King's pic in Nighty's booklet and I thought of EDE. Then my computer caught fire, the fire engine ran into the power substation and the local hospital and orphanage lost power, just before the fire spread to them... little things, but nothing that was going to stop me wishing EDE a happy birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDA... heck... the Y key has just fallen off the sentence...
