It IS Superman!
Ambush Bug takes Superman's cape, puts it on a visiting alien and then tosses him off a building, calling him "Superman 2"
Color Kid leaps into the fray, grabbing the tourist and carries him to safety, without ever changing any colors on anything. Amazing feat of heroism.
Let's all give a round of applause for Color Kid, an unsung hero in the Legion mythos.

Got it in one. IN her tryout, she was up against two other Imskians. One (Micro) murdered the other (Ion), and Violet tracked him down and took him in. She wanted to decline membership because she didn't feel right for having won it by default... but Apparition and Spark said they had watched the whole thing and encouraged her to join because of her martial prowess and skill in using her powers.

Androids is the correct answer! I think that Brin's issue with androids, a part of his first story way back when, was only referenced one other time in all of Legion history until it was mentioned in the TMK-era scene that my trivia question references.
