He was one of my favorites from that group of MAD artists.

He had great taste in influences, too -- he named Joe Kubert, Alex Toth, and fellow MAD-guy Jack Davis as his favorites among his contemporaries.

At the same time, his style was always very much his own.

Rest in peace. Thanks for taking the art of caricature to the next level, and for all the laughs.
