And after DC last year, the other shoe just dropped for Diamond:

Marvel switch comic shop distribution from Diamond to Penguin Random House; https://www.comicsbeat.com/marvel-a...mics-and-graphic-novels-to-comics-shops/

Technically, Diamond are allowed to sub-distribute - unlike with DC - but since it's going to be cheaper on multiple levels to go to the source, this sounds like a death knell for them. Interesting Times indeed...

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Cobalt, Reboot & iB present 21st Century Legion: Earth War .

Wow. I've been exclusively digital the last 8 years or so. I'm surprised they've lasted this long.

In spite of my own recent experience being largely digital, I have heard that digital sales is still below 10% of sales of any single issue and usually a lot less. (Of course my own source for that figure is the unimpeachable Youtube but the channel is run by a comic shop owner so it probably has some essence of the true reality.)

Thinking about it, at least anecdotally, there is probably some truth to that. The local comics shop near me is close to a good restaurant that we like to frequent, and there's ALWAYS folks in there (at least pre-COVID) because they host tabletop/CCG/RPG games in the back, plus they still have monthly subscription bins. Folks are still buying, for sure.
