^Agree.
I am liking Rose as Legion/UP liaison. With Madame President (Brande! So no RJ...?) she acts 100% behind the Legion, and she is. But she calls them out on THEIR stupid childish (!*#**
Still not a fan of everyone interrupting everyone else all the time. I hate that in real life... in a comic book, where I want to know what's happening, it's excruciating. So Jon just says Gotham is a garbage fire, and everyone ignores him. Also annoying. But I guess.. I don't know, how old are these Legionnaires again? Because they are way too buff to be 15, or maybe I was just a fat kid and my brain has erased all memories of buff kids that age...
T-Wolf's dad... was a wolf?
Heh. Blok say something and White Witch agrees... a nod to Pre-Zero Hour?
The orientation program again. Getting old, really. DOES JON EVER WATCH IT, JUST WATCH IT ALREADY!
It WAS kind of nice to see the Legionnaires be so supportive of Jo, after he apologizes for not telling who his dad was. Cool.
Well, not THAT much happened here. the fight scenes were cool, but honestly, a new reader would not have gotten much. Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl were the only ones whose powers were really clear, and Bouncing Boy for the keen-eyed. And previous issue, Wildfire and Karate Kid. I don't count Ultra Boy because his one-power-at-time-weakness was not obvious, I think, to a first-time reader... and Star Boy didn't get to do anything, so...
Yeah. It's A Legion, and the camaraderie is there, and I love how good-natured they are to one another. They are also a little bit annoying so far... Children, slightly childish, not even acknowledging the stupid move of taking action without informing the UP Pres. Like, yeesh. Realistic, but, also annoying.
Ah well. Still looking forward to issue 3. The reactions to Damian, and finally seeing some focus on smaller groups of Legionnaires.

Funny enough, this was kind of how I described the Reboot Legion when it first came out.

Thinking further Threeboot had me feeling like they were being childish too although in a more negative whiney sense. Maybe that is a lesson to me to wait a little and see how it develops - then I can be all mature and rant and rave about how it isn't my Legion.

The Reboot Legion grew more adult and more competent in time, so that colors my memory of them.

Blok/Mysa is one of my favorite Legion ships. I know it's sort of impossible but I love the fairy-tale aspect of that (you can blame Disney and Dreamworks). I hope they at least still friends in this version of the Legion. Jon is playing the role of Kitty Pryde for this boot... he introduces new readers to the core concepts of the Legion. The orientation program is for the new readers. It reminds me of when Spider-Men had this role at the beginning of Bendis's New Avengers run.

I hope they at least still friends in this version of the Legion. Heh! My new guy (well, the new guy I've started dating) said the same thing when we first met. "My concept of love is a bit unrealistic. Disney ruined me." And I was like, "Jinx! Seriously? I tell my friends the same thing!" And it's true, I have used the same line more than once... That was the beginning

I hope the Legionnaires sit Jon and Damian down together next issue and make them watch the danged program! Chuck: "Now that Robin is here, you MUST watch it." Damian: "What? Why? Does one of my descendants do something horrible, and you want me to change history by being aware of it?" Tinya: "No, because danger could hit you here!" Damian: "What! I can take care of myself! And why me and not Jon?" Brainy: "Well, Superboy is invulnerable. You're not. The chances of deadly harm happening to you are 87193% higher, even factoring in your training and Superboy's lack of knowledge of this era. I've even accounted for the presence of villainous magic-casters like Mordru and the existence of kryptonite..." Jon: "Erm. He has a point, I guess." Damian: "Traitor!" Tasmia: "Just watch it already, they worked so hard on it!" Rose: "... immature brats..."

Yeah, get Thorn to whip the brats into shape.
The joke is getting old, but I'd like to see the orientation program myself at this point - fill in the backstory.

That would be a good use for Rose and Thorn! Have Thorn come out when the Legionnaires simply refuse to listen to reason.

I reckon the orientation programme will frame the origin story in #4.
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.
