Not confirmed yet so maybe there's hope....Legion of Super-Heroes #2 was scheduled for a December 4 release, but it doesn't show up on the shipping schedule that came out yesterday. Could be a paperwork snafu, but if it's not, doesn't bode well if they can't get the second issue out on time.

Previews has it now on December 18th.

Bendis keeps talking about having a year to work on this book, I'm surprised they didn't use that time to get ahead of the game for publication. Why not get 4-6 issues in before you publish?

Glacially slow pacing to begin with plus delays is not a good combination.

These early issues are key to building momentum and grabbing new readers. I agree that it seems odd not to have a few issues in the can before launch to soak this up.

Editorial micromanagement, maybe?

Last minute rewriting and redrawing?

A change of ethnicity for the entire cast?

Everybody's going to swap genders! Shadow Lad and Womon-El! Ultra Girl and Phantom Boy! Duplicate Dude and Bouncing Girl!

(Garth and Ayla are going to be all, 'Whatever.' Added difficulty, all the costumes are going to stay the same...)

Maybe DC has changed their mind and won't let them use Superboy!

Expect Mordruverse Part II in a couple of issues.

Maybe they can't decide whether to bring in Damian or not.

Mon-El with red skin Bouncing Boy with purple skin.... Colosal Boy with yellow skin.... and Superboy changes to a gorilla . This Bendis is a joker!

Sook probably had to redraw a few pages that featured Lightning Lad proper to make him become the Black Lightning that they have in the group now.

It's DC. I'm *counting* on Superboy changing into a gorilla before the end of the first 12 issues, and with go-go checks on the cover! The usual conclusion would be that it's Cham pretending to be Superboy as a gorilla. But all that's up in the air, now that we also have Monster Boy!

Suddenly there's three Superboys: one a criminal, one an apelike being, and even one that's a woman!

But are any of them the *real* Superboy?

And what happens when Bendis travels from Earth-Prime to meet the Legion, but gets infected by Joker venom?



Now *that's* a proper Legion story!

Gosh EDE! That's a good reminder of that old Adventure story where Superboy met the evil Legion from a parallel Earth! I leave it you others to count how many of the cast were disguised Gorillas (hint: lots)




Oh, that's easy. He gets promoted on his return, as his nonsensical joker plots fit in perfectly with DC editorial from the last 30 years!

Does Phantom Girl use her halo to phase?

I do remember one panel in issue 1 where she had her halo in her hand. Might have been the last one, the splash page. It seemed like she was going to use it to attack.

He also gets his own spiffy spandex costume! And we will see that he's been working out!

Great seeing Bouncing Boy kicking ass!

Star Boy's power signature looks more like energy blasts than the gravity-casting/mass-increasing Thom of old.

Light Lass also looks like she's piling on an energy attack, rather than nullifying gravity! Is she aiming at the same enemy that Bouncing Boy just hit?

And nice to see Brainiac 5 still has the force fields. He's using multiple fields here, much like Reboot Brainiac 5 used to do after the Anomaly /under DNA!

Maybe the the purple Halo girl is not Tinya.... (thing I hope) .
Can be Veilmist or a female humanoid Gates... With the genius Bendis all is posible....

Or they are trying to figure out which Amazonian, Speed Force-user and Martian connections they are going with, since they've managed to include a Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Dr. Fate reference in the first few issues. Just need some 31st century Apokaliptans and Thanagarians and Firestorm-Matrix-users, I suppose to complete this new Justice League 3000.2.

Spoiler alert. Oliver Queen's hood-wearing descendant is the Green Bullet, who uses those primitive and outdated relics to fight crime, guns.

Not unlike Green Lantern Simon Baz.

I would be happy with either Veilmist or Gates, though I prefer insectoid Gates.

But then... that would make the green skeleton Legionnaire the likely candidate to be Tinya!

And look out for Shrinking Violet to be a descendant of the Ray Palmer Atom!

Oh, and Tyroc will show up as a descendant of Black Canary. He also wears a blonde wig for some reason.

Don't forget that Chameleon Boy is really a descendant of Elongated Man!

Hey, maybe Monster Boy is really a Martian in disguise!

^ I have a feeling you are right and that Monster Boy is at least part White Martian. It would explain the shift-shaping ability.

In a twist, Sun Boy is actually the disguised Martian!
