[quote=Brain-Fall-Out BoyMany suspect that Jon was aged specifically to make him Legion age so he can join.[/quote]
I was speculating to myself whether it was possible that the Retroboot Legion was still more or less canon, and that this was a Children of the Legion book-- Superman would have been a member of the Retroboot Legion, and now Jon will be asked to join the Legion Kids. It would make sense that this book would therefore be set in the 32nd Century... the only problem with this theory is that he's still called Brainiac Five, rather than Brainiac 6, or 5.1, some other number.
Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse
I can get that if you absolutely hate a certain writer's work, you wouldn't be very enthusiastic about him taking over the LSH. And, I don't know. I'm jaded enough to be somewhat skeptical about any relaunch. But there are things about this that look promising, and other things not so much. But, a big relaunch after five years of no Legion book be published? I figure it's worth at least checking out.
It appears from Bendis' twitter account that we might have already seen the Legion? Is this the best place for Twitter news/speculation or should we make a new thread?

^ Well spotted! Definitely some recognizable Legionnaires in that pic:
* Lightning Lad arcing his electricity in the middle (another hint that he's taking Cosmic Boy's place as the front and center member ); * Saturn Girl to the lower right of Lightning Lad based on the hair and position; * Bouncing Boy in the middle right; * There's a larger figure to the upper left of Lightning Lad but it looks a bit smaller and thicker than how most artists depict Colossal Boy in group shots, so Blok maybe?; * Gates to the far left of the group; * Mon-el looks to be to the upper right of Gates; * There's an alienish figure almost directly underneath Lightning Lad which I guess could either be Chameleon Boy or Tellus with weirdly long arms; * There's another alienish figure with what looks to be extra arms in the upper middle right of the pic which I guess could either also be Chameleon Boy or the Weirdo Legionnaire making his long-awaited return!
How did I miss that? I read that comic! This is part of some weird waking dream/hallucination Supes has in the Fortress showing pretty much every hero (and the Zod family) there to honor him for something called World Peace Day. It even includes Lois in an "S"/"El" outfit and a young man who appears to be Jon Kent and a young woman, possibly another child of Kal and Lois?
Just after Zod arrives, this happens ... and then he "wakes up" with Jon and Lois asking him if he is alright - and that's all we get. There are some comments about him not really needing sleep but apparently needing it anyway and the story moves on.
With all this group thing happening right at the end of the "dream" I just ignored it and moved on. Silly me.
Bendis has something in mind but I have no idea what. His story seems pretty good but it feeeels sooo slooow. We just had the 12th issue, not counting the "Man of Steel" mini-series or Supergirl searching for answers in her series, and we are just now told that we will learn the REAL truth about the destruction of Krypton and Jor-El/Mister Oz in the NEXT issue.
Still it is keeping me reading so I guess it is working.
Oh and a couple of other things, the young woman does call Kal "Dad". Several of the other heroes appear to have kids including Wonder Woman and Aquaman and some sort of Flash family and even Jimmy Olsen is with a woman and they have a young red-haired freckled boy.
And the last scene shows Lois and Jon (who has lost an eye and has a cybernetic arm) being attacked (?) by energy beams? That happens immediately after the emergence of the group we are speculating about so it appears to be them attacking but it is unclear enough that they could also be coming to the rescue.
I agree with the ids suggested so far. The lower figure definitely looks like Cham. The larger body looks more Blok-ish to me. The caped figure near Gates could be Mon-El or possibly the Threeboot StarBoy? There is also a long haired figure near the top with a large cape that to my mind says Sensor Girl. Near the possible Gates figure looks to be a large feathered wing so Dawnstar I guess. The rest seem to me pretty generic male and female heroic body types. I also can't spot anything like Quislet.
Does anyone else think that perhaps the reason why they are now in the 32nd century is because this Legion will be the children and grandchildren of the original team?
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Unlikely the children would have the same powers. I assume they would be a mixture of powers like Garridan Ranzz's mental lightning and codenames like Brainstorm. Again though all we have seen is costumes so anything is possible.

They might also get kids with no powers if there are enough recessive genes (I use that excuse in my fanfics). Bendis will get what he wants, there is always a plot device.

I'm thinking that there is a different reason for putting the Legion a century ahead. It's clearly deliberate - but the expectation that people would have similar personalities and power sets 2-3 generations out just seems ... odd.
It's probably something far simpler - like losing 100 years from a Super Punch!
Oh, right, wrong writer.
Here's hoping there's a better reason for the century jump
Does anyone here listen to the podcast Bendis is on? I saw he was asked questions yesterday, but I don't want to waste time if it is the same stuff he posts on twitter.

I am so looking forward to a new Legion comic. Trying not to get my hopes up too much, so I can try to read it for what it is. 2013 was the end of the last book, so in my mind I'm calling this one Six Years Later. Heh.
