You got it!! The Legionnaires (especially Kinetix, Chameleon, XS and Triad) and Marla Latham were all annoyed. Kinetix was the one who asked about Rond's degree; Cham said not to blame education as Rond was probably hatched that way, and Triad threatened that Rond would leave without his head.

Correct. The rest of the team (Shadow Lass, Timber Wolf and Colossal Boy) was heading for Thanagar for a Science Police Convention but Brainy was going to be dropped off at Ruzicka (don't remember ever hearing of it again) for the Interplanetary 3-D Chess Tournament. Superboy #217 "The Charge of the Doomed Legionnaires". A tale I remember well from an early black and white reprint. Over to you Thoth.
