Is this character's powers magical in nature? For the versions of this character who have had intrinsic powers, those powers were magical in nature. Hmm... I just realized that I left off the summary the fact that only certain incarnations of the character have intrinsic powers.

It is Flygirl!
Actress Kim Brand was rescued by the Fly, later becoming endowed with the same mystical insect powers as him by other dimensional fly people, and since has since become a largely independent character due to The Fly being owned by Joe Simon.
The brief DC Comics incarnation had a much different origin, being a tech user with no intrinsic powers. Her daughter, Kelly Brand, has taken over for her as Flygirl in the recent relaunches of the Crusaders comics published by Archie/Red Circle.
