Is it a writer with a passion for the styles and engineering behind many great landmarks?
Is it a way of providing a subtext for what a character stands for?
Or is it just a writer struggling for a concept on the way to the office, and realising that a cosmic train carriage has already been used?
Whatever the reason, this is a tribute thread to the unlikely subset of characters inspired by architectural styles and buildings.
