haha Well haven't we all been exposed for our lack of knowledge about foundational movies in horror cinema!
Might this be... The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari?
I really need to see that one day.

Yay! It is The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
I saw a pic of it recently, and rotten tomatoes has it has one of it's highest scoring films of all time. Admittedly that will be based on it's usual 2 reviewers and a dog that still gets it prominence on wiki.
I got too focussed on the plot instead of trying to get in things like "German" "expressionist" and "1920s"
It is well worth a watch.
Over to you Blacula.

(Question: Do we want to continue with the two movie scenes thing? This is the only game thread that does it and it kinda feels weird asking a new question while someone else's is still waiting to be solved. It can also be a little confusing I think.) I'll ask one question for now and then add another one if the crowd implores me to. Scene: A sexy, nubile teenager has just found her very 80s boyfriend lying next to a cigarette machine with his throat slit. She runs back to tell her friends but, just as she gets to them, her head is blown up by a lazer beam.

I'll ask one question for now and then add another one if the crowd implores me to. "The spirit of Christ compels you! The Spirit of Christ compels you!" I'm fine with the one. I think that came about in case the single question was a bit tough and interest started to flag. I don't mind either way in the slightest. Keep up with what I've been watching lately! "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

That's the one KK. I'd heard about it ages ago but finally got around to watching it last weekend. It was quite fun but I wish they'd mixed it up a bit with the threats. It got a bit old after a while watching the robots just roll around firing laser beams at people. Some good scenes though.

Hmmm. Something else else's at the back of my mind, but is determined to stay there. And I'm not going into the dark to get it. Basket Case?

Am I along the right lines in thinking it's some sort of child-thing? I seem to have that stuck in my head.

Even after all this time, I'm still going to need a clue on this one.
