Would your character be considered a super hero? Definitely on the more heroic side of things. Summary Not a female reporter, determined to do much of anything Not female No powers beyond those of a human If my character robbed a bank, onlookers wouldn't say "D'uh! He is a villain after all!" not a super villain who presents a legitimate, good face to the world my character would not be considered villainous made debut before Crisis is a human being from Earth Is your character originally from the Earth-1 universe? - It depends Is not usually seen, story-wise, in a supportive capacity, like Lois Lane. Not a member of a team that I recall Hasn't had more than one counterpart across multiverses (e.g. Clark Kent) - although has gone through reboots like a lot of characters. Does not fight crime in a costume Made debut after Barry Allen Not originally published by a company other than DC Comics It's a heroic character

It is Kamandi!
The "it depends" on the Earth-1 question was down to the whole Great Disaster getting shunted around continuity. I nearly added a caveat for the military question too, as he'd end up being Tommy Tomorrow or something in one version at the end of Crisis.
Over you Eryk!

Yeah, that was pretty much the key clue, but it took a couple of stabs to figure out how it worked.
I first thought it might be a post-Golden Age, pre-Silver Age character whose status on Earth-1 might be ambiguous, then I thought it might be Prez (who wasn't supposed to be on Earth-1, but weirdly showed up in an issue of Supergirl!), and then I came up with the Great Disaster.
Good one!

His pic was on the homepage today, so it's not as though I put much though into this one.

Does your character often fight crime? I would say "fighting crime" is a frequent activity of my character. My character: --is Female --fights crime --does not use Zeta Beams for travel.

Does your character wear a costume to fight crime? My character does not wear a costume beyond her everyday attire to fight crime. Is your character an exceptional martial artist? Hmm... Wikipedia lists my character as an expert in hand-to-hand combat, but I wouldn't describe her as a martial artist as we usually think of it.
