For those not following the 'Writer Discussion' thread, I am interested in doing some creating some fan-fiction heirs of the Legion of Super-Villains. You are free to write, draw, etc. any established or fan-fiction child of the Legion villains. The setting of these characters is a Takron-Galtos galactic empire. The United Planets is facing lots of problems and decides to just let them have the planets in exchange for a peace treaty and a promise to protect against other threats. In theory it is supposed to be a penal colony, but are beings who call themselves Kings and Queens going to settle for being mere citizens? At the time of this writing, I am unsure if we should all agree to write this new state as having one particular form of government or if we should each just do what we want. I will give more freedom now and make adjustments later if the thread becomes hard to follow. Since it has been some years since the last thread like this, here is a link to an example: http://www.legionworld.net/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=124062&page=1My ExamplesName: Louis Douglous aka Sun Prince Relatives: Sun Emperor(father), Silver Slasher (mother, deceased), Titania (step-mother) Two older half-brothers, deceased, Two older half-sisters, Philip Douglous aka Mithras (younger half-brother, see below), Mist Master (god-father) Origin: Sun Emperor was awarded a planet to govern by the LSV Council in gratitude for his service. Louis Douglous is the fifth child of Sun Emperor, by his second consort, Silver Slasher of the League of Super-Assassins. Due to her abnormal physiology, she died giving birth to him. There are some who believe his father killed her to save the child, but that is only a rumor. His father was happy to have children to strengthen his power in Takron-Galtos. Louis was ignored by his two older brothers, who spent much of their free time competing with each other in sports. He is on good terms with his both of his half-sisters. Louis is extremely close to his younger brother, Philip. Louis was raised to be a military leader as it was doubtful that he would ever gain political power. He was one of the last students at the LSV Academy ran by Tarik the Mute before he turned it over to Ron-Karr. Louis has been sent to the border zone, where he has clashed with the Legion of Super-Heroes. He grew in importance when his eldest brother mysteriously died and his father distrusted the next in line. His next eldest brother was executed on his fathers orders. Louis has relented power in the meantime to his step-mother so he can keep expanding the borders and fighting the hated United Planets. Powers: The mutations of his parents were co-dominant so he inherited aspects of them both. He possesses a lava-form similar to Magma of the New Mutants over at Marvel. He can currently change back and forth at will, but he has a great fear that one day he will be stuck in a 'Monster Form' like his mother was. Name: Philip Douglous aka Mithras Relatives: Sun Emperor(father), Titania (mother), Titania (step-mother) Two older half-brothers, deceased, Louis Douglous aka Sun Prince (older half-brother by Silver Slasher, see above), Neutrax (god-father) Origin: Sun Emperor married his mother due to the pressure of diplomats a few years after the death of Silver Slasher. He is the last child of Sun Emperor, by his third consort, Titania of the League of Super-Assassins. By the time of his birth, Sun Emperor was finding more trouble than blessings in family relations and was starting to descend into psychosis. Titania was fearful for her child and so discouraged him from politics or the military, in the hopes he could become a scientist. He studied at his god-father's court when he was in middle school. On his way home, he received news that his second eldest brother had been assassinated. Titania arranged a 'hostage exchange' (The Legion of Super-Heroes call it a student exchange) in order to protect her child. He was sent to stay with the instructors at the Legion Academy, Bouncing Boy and Duplicate Damsel. In exchange, one of Cosmic Boy's children was sent to the LSV Academy. As Dirk Morgana has not given up the name Sun Boy, the instructors helped him pick out a name that was connected to sun but unique. While the students were reluctant to get close to him, most have opened up to him over time. He refrains from using titles in school and is embarrassed when his family members call him 'Prince' in front of his friends. His cliche could be described as the 'preps' in a typical high school. Powers: He is be considered a Fire-powered Elemental attacker. His power-set contains the following: Fire generation and absorption, immunity to fire, fire-shielding. He did not inherit his mother's powers.

Graymalkin, daughter of Spider Girl (Sussa Paka) and Flederweb Regicide and Rebel against the throne of Aetia (The Master of Thieve’s World)
Aetia is a small world on the borders of the Khund Empire. It is also the home of the renegade Flederweb.
After the opening of Takron-Galtos, Flederweb enlisted a cadre of villains to attempt to free his homeworld from the domination of the Khunds. He was successful.
During the brief war, Flederweb and Sussa Paka (known variously as Spider Girl and Wave) developed a relationship.
After liberation, Flederweb naively believed that Aetia would become a democratic technocracy, as the worlds of the UP. This was not to be. Rather, a pitched battle was fought among the various factions of the super-villains for rule of the planet.
The living electro-energy sphere known as The Master of Thieves’ World was the winner.
The majority of the Aetians saw Flederweb as their savior and liberator, and would have preferred him as their ruler. The Master acceded to their request. He installed Flederweb and Sussa Paka as the nominal Emperor and Empress of Aetia, in an small ‘Imperial City’, where their only actual ‘subjects’ were three hundred of The Master’s Autom-Guards. They were paraded out for official occasions, but control of Aetia remained with The Master.
In the process of time, the Emperor and Empress had a daughter. She inherited all of her father’s abilities: lightweight bones and body structure, strength and agility, gliding, night-vision and wallcrawling. She also has her mother’s animate and extensible hair, although hers is silvery-white, rather than red or blue.
As a young girl, the Princess escaped from the Imperial City, and has been secretly fomenting rebellion among the people, organizing an Underground to rise up against The Master. Her actual origins and identity are unknown to all but a few close associates. To everyone else, the gray-clad girl is known as Graymalkin.
She funds the Resistance through thievery of the wealthy and privileged, something of a cross between Robin Hood, a cat burglar, and a terrorist leader.
What she really is, is an aspiring regicide.
Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse

Excellent character ideas so far! My contribution is The Unnamed Blade, son of Adam Orion and the Sklarian knife fighter named Akka. (note: though Akka was killed by Saturn Queen at one stage, she was resurrected in one of the universal reboots that occasionally occur) When the Takron-Galtos Empire was formed, the Sklarian mercenary Akka wisely decided to leave decisions of leadership to the Saturn Queens and Lightning Lords of the galaxy, and she turned her attention instead to carving out a comfortable life for herself and creating an enduring legacy to carry her name when she was old enough to retire. Akka chose the hunter named Adam Orion to father her child, a decision based purely on his excellent physical attributes and skills. On the fiercely matriarchal world of Sklar, males seldom possess value outside of their genetic contribution to their offspring. Akka had assumed that her child would be a girl, and by the time she found out that she was instead having a baby boy her pregnancy was too far advanced for termination to be an option. She killed Adam Orion in her rage, and the fight between them brought on early labor. With medical intervention, Akka gave birth to a premature but healthy baby but she was told she'd never be able to risk carrying a child to term again. So disgusted was Akka that she left her child at the medical facility without ever even giving him a name. One of the attending nurses took pity on him and stole the infant to raise as her own...with his yellow skin and red hair though, and a natural affinity for outdoor survival which became obvious as he grew older, Akka eventually found out that he was the son she'd abandoned to die. Deciding to finish the job, Akka killed the boy's guardians on his twelfth birthday and would have killed him as well if he hadn't been lucky enough to escape into a nearby nature preserve; in the process, the boy learned his true origins. The boy discarded the name his guardians had given him, the only name he'd known since infancy, and he dedicated himself to perfecting his hand to hand and blade skills so that one day he could have revenge on the woman who'd brought him into the world. Known now only as the Unnamed Blade, he perfects his skills by taking on mercenary work and looks forward to the day he can kill his mother and take his name back again.

So, I didn't have an immediate idea for a child character (or, just *one* child character, anyway...), but here's some idle thoughts I had on the basic idea;
The Enclave There had always been hundreds of Titanians on Takron-Galtos, helping to rehabilitate the various criminal personalities incarcerated there, and having their own community-within-a-community. When the uprising happened, they banded together and moved through the riots, telepathically sedating anyone that even looked their way, attempting to save themselves, and as many of their support staff co-workers as they could, as they retreated to their own reinforced and secured compound / dormitories, safe from the worst of the fighting. There they found Saturn Queen, waiting for them, having used the same sort of telepathic inhibitor fields that they used to keep prisoners like her under control, with a dozen armed thugs that she’d bullied or manipulated into serving her. The first weeks were tumultuous, and almost a dozen Titanians died testing her resolve and attempting to free themselves, but over time the frightened telepaths were conditioned to obey her commands, as she would only allow them restricted use of their own telepathy in her service, and to a Titanian, being without telepathy is like walking around blindfolded, or having a limb cut off. Years later, the Enclave, as it is called, is an ocean of stability administered by cold ruthless telepathic secret police, who enforce the Queen’s will, and keep the non-telepathic rabble in their place.
The Queen herself takes lovers, but bears no children herself, although she has encouraged her Titanian (and other) followers to partner up and ‘be fruitful,’ eager to raise a new generation under her rule, loyal from birth and knowing no other way of life to dream of or attempt to escape to. News from the outside world is subtly edited, to play up how dangerous and uncertain the other territories are, and how lucky the residents of the Enclave are, compared to the chaos and anarchy enfolding other regions.
While the Enclave lacks the bleeding edge in medical or scientific technology, Saturn Queen has pressed as many of Takron-Galtos’ former technical and medical crew into service as she can, and has ensured that the next generation of telepaths have stronger than normal concentrations of the genes that select for telepathic potency, and had a personal hand in training them to work in squads, linked telepathically, and as much a collective consciousness as a group of individuals. Terrifying to see in practice, moving and operating like cogs in a vast alien intelligence, they can bring their combined telepathic might crashing down on even the most powerful single telepath, although the Queen has ensured through conditioning almost from birth, that they would never dream of turning that overwhelming power on her (and, through implanted suggestions lying in wait, that they would fail even if they attempted to do so). These children, while born with individual names and personalities, take on a new name as a collective, usually something fanciful, like Red Talon or Mindhunter, each squad of five children having their own name, when operating in unison, and some of these collectives are quickly becoming more ‘real’ than the individuals who comprise them, spending less and less time ‘independent,’ and more time joined in telepathic fusion, as the new composite personality begins to overwhelm that of the children composing it.
Due to the stability and safety it offers, no matter how draconian and oppressive, and that, as non-telepaths, they would be second-class citizens at best, people from surrounding territories on Takron-Galtos often seek asylum in the Enclave, but the Queen is choosy, and only selects people with useful skills to allow citizenship in her grim utopia.
Other local territories; The Court of Thunder, dominated by Lightning Lord and his flunkies, who pander to his mad delusions regarding the judgment of the storm as he bases his decisions on omens he reads in the weather. Falling back to a medieval mind-set, the Court of Thunder is one of the few territories not beholden to Questor for power, as Mekt single-handedly provide power to his subjects (which also leaves them utterly at the mercy of his whims, on the days he doesn’t feel like charging up the generators, or feels that the portents are not auspicious).
The Warrens, the vast machinery that runs Takron-Galtos’ energy and computational resources deep below the surface, now controlled by the automation and techs that have been dominated by the Coluan Questor. Every surface territory must deal with Questor if they want power, sanitation, computer access, etc. as he controls the Warrens absolutely, and every maintenance machine below the surface runs according to his programming (while the hundreds of human techs huddled below the surface live at his sufferance, and he more or less ignores unless he needs one of them for something a machine can’t handle). Questor is hated by many of the topside ‘rulers,’ who despise their own dependence on the resources he has controlled, but he is also valuable to the world as a whole, as his minions craft weapons from the armories formerly controlled by the correctional officers, and he runs a brisk trade in weapons with the rest of the fractured territories. Saturn Queen has been ‘poaching’ some of his humanoid workers, for their technical skills, and Questor is currently embargoing the Enclave in retaliation, cutting their power to bare minimum, while perversely allowing un-edited newsfeeds to air throughout the Enclave, instead of the carefully scripted versions the Queen approves…

This thread seems to be going well so far. Good work, everyone. I love that many of you are digging deep through Legion lore to find these characters, some which I forgot about until I saw the posts.

Can I do another one?
Tyr of Tyrazz conquered a world of red-skinned, blue-haired aliens which he renamed New Tyrazz. He himself took the title of “Rex Anno Saurus”, meaning something like “King of the Lizard Year”. His most trusted minions are his ‘Armory’, a group of cybernetic soldiers built with AI technology based on his own semi-sentient gun/hand. But this is not about him. Although most known for their role opposing Earth-247’s version of the Legion, Cherry Bomb and Ze Tongue were also low-level supervillains in this Universe, and were prisoners on Takron-Galtos at the time of its emancipation. However, due to the laughably poor quality of their powers, they never attempted to conquer anything anywhere, but retired to New Tyrazz to live quiet lives under Rex Anno Saurus Tyr’s protection. Although they wanted a family, fundamental genetic incompatibility made having children difficult. Nevertheless, they persisted. Until at last, after many years, a little girl was born. They named her Cerise Langue. Despite her parent’s underwhelming powers, little Cerise, through some genetic fluke, manifests essentially all the powers in the power set of J’Onn J’Onzz, Manhunter from Mars, while maintaining a deceptively human appearance. Super-strength, super-speed, flight, invulnerability, super-senses, shape-shifting, invisibility, intangibility, telepathy, telekinesis, psychocatalysis, ‘tornado breath’, flash vision… there may be other powers which may manifest themselves in the future; at present Cerise is just seven years old. Her parents match their underwhelming power with an underwhelming imagination, and have been training their little girl as a ‘Super-Thief’, stealing precious artifacts from around New Tyrazz. The villain’s house is currently filled to overflowing with necklaces of rare jewels, near-priceless solid gold urns from the Nemj Dynasty, fantastically overvalued paintings, sculptures and statuary, priceless museum pieces, and other treasures. Their plan is to fence all these ill-gotten gains for millions of credits, if only they can find a fence who will not report them immediately to Tyr.

I never really specified a continuity for this thread, so don't worry about the revelations below. My line of thinking is in this thread we are creating our own fan-universe separate from canon, so what I post does not necessarily have to match what others post. Especially because villains are not the most honest narrators.
If anyone is under the impression they have to wait until I am done editing they can post more ideas; I'm done editing this post.

Brief History of Timna- Located in the Alicante section of the Milky Way After the failure of the Justice League of Earth to regain control of Intergalactic Politics, Earthgov turned to scientists for their new project. They obtained pardons for key scientists in Takron-Galatos in exchange for working on their new super-soldier project. These scientists have control of a new colony called on the outskirts of United Planets space to work with and "volunteers" to conduct their experiments on. Some of the results are terrifying (see Fluorescent), while others were disappointing. The natives of this planet were to be ignored until a significant colonial base was established.
When the government of Earthgov changed, they attempted to shut down the operation due to the presence of Pre-FTL sentients on this planet, but the scientists revolted, led by Cosmic King. He has a government that could be described as a Theocracy or a Scientific Council, depending on your opinion of Alchemy. The other scientists accept his leadership partly out of fear and partly because they welcome the relaxation of the anti-alien policies set up by Earthgov. Cosmic King was welcomed by the natives of this planet as a deity. They are allowed to keep their independence as long as they provide tribute.
Travel Advisories: The volunteers and their descendants are cautious of outsiders as many of them left Earth to escape UP society. The native inhabitants love meeting outsiders, though United Planet visitors are cautioned against talking to them directly. There are also pockets of street children who have no qualms about stealing.
Codename: Soapstone Name: Magnus Bolto Relatives: Biological Parents Unknown, Laevar Bolto (Adopted Father), Many Adopted Siblings Origin: His mother was presumably a volunteer in the studies conducted by Mantis Morlo. That scientist prefers to conduct studies on children as he believes their biology is more flexible to the effects of radiation. He allows them to live with their parents until their powers manifest, after which he evaluates them for their potential to serve the state. Unfortunately for Magnus, his power to transform elements into talc is often considered to be useless. Mantis Marlo abandons these children in order to skew his result ratios and continue funding for his experiments. At age eleven, Magnus was left on the streets of Ulub, a city distant from the capital.
During a raid by the Legion of Super-Heroes, he was present in the crowd as an assassination attempt was made on Cosmic King. Magnus trans-mutated the surrounding elements into a a pile of talc and stopped the assassin. In gratitude, Cosmic King adopted the child. He is being raised to have a prominent role in the governing of Ulub, and is expected to be raised to the See of Ulub when that position is vacant. He briefly clashed with the Legion Academy when their ship accidentally entered Timna space.
Powers: When the correct elements are present, he can transform them into talc. He is skilled at fighting with weaponry in order to compensate for his weak powers. Magnus prefers weapons created by the Cobalt Guild, such as a blue flame sword.
Note by Jan Arrah: In practice, his power is more similar to Crystal Kid's than mine. I wonder if there is a possible link. Note by Tellus: He does not remember his parents names even though he was eleven when separated from them. I sense that a mind wipe could be responsible.
Codename: Argonaut Name: Arjun Relatives: Unknown Origin: There is no credible information regarding his childhood and upbringing, other than he was raised on Timna, According to some people on Timna, his parents were Legion rejects that ended up working at Takron-Galtos. When he encountered the Legion Academy, he insists that he is a distant cousin of Jan Arrah (which nobody believes). At various times he claims he was trained by the following: The Science Police, Cosmic King's Elite Guard, and a time-travelling Dr.Alchemy. A curious Brainiac VI did genetic testing and found out that Argonaut's baseline human DNA was altered with that of Gil'Dan, which accounts for his biofluorescence.
He is a youth who currently works as a mercenary on Avalon. Argonaut claims to have left Timna because, "I am supposed to be a super-soldier, so I don't know much other than fighting". He got into a fight with some Legion Academy students at a local tavern. He got scared once some of the instructors arrived on the scene and ran out the back door. The next day, Argonaut and some other mercenaries were asked to work with the Legion Academy to break-up a thief's ring that had been established by off-worlders. He clashes with many of the students on ethics, but is able to work with them to finish the task.
Powers: His primary power is to alter the gravitational pull on objects on a minimum-to-moderate scale. He is currently significantly less powerful than Star Boy. Argonaut's powers include biofluorescence in the dark, which is a liability in many situations. With this power comes yellowish eyes which allow him to see better in the dark than baseline humans. His code-name is presumably an in-joke by the scientists who worked on him, as his powers are reflective of the element Argon. As a mercenary he is trained in a variety of weapons, preferring to use rifles. On worlds such as Avalon, he uses a trident.
Tellus Notes: The scientists were probably hoping to duplicate either the telepathic or teleporting abilities of the Gil'Dan. He is strong against telepathy but weak against sudden changes in pressure. If there is ever a reason to detain him, sonics should be enough to incapacitate him. Is he possibly a product of Gil'Dan science?
Codename: Fluorescent Name: Anna Curry Relatives: Laevar Bolto (Adopted Father), Many Adopted Siblings, Maria Antar (biological sister), Rann Antar (godfather), Origin: She was presented to Cosmic King at the age of seven by the scientist Rann Antar, as proof of the success of his experiments with Gil'Dan DNA. Her ability to create fire is powerful and Cosmic King wished for her to be trained in combat from a young age. He adopted the child and raised her to be a princess of Timna.
Like several of her other siblings, she was enrolled at Ron-Karr's Academy. During a standard drill, Anna's whole body became covered in green fame and everything she touched reacted violently against her skin. The instructors tricked her into thinking the Legion of Super-Heroes had poisoned her so that way she would willingly go home. Cosmic King felt he had no choice but to have her imprisoned for everyone's safety. She remained imprisoned for four months until a Legion of Super-Heroes raid accidentally destroyed the building she was kept in. She instinctively attacked everyone until a force field was able to trap her. After the truth was revealed to her, Anna choose to be de-powered in order to function in society.
Due to her young age, the authorities took pity on her in exchange for intelligence. The Legion gave her a desk job and told her she could enroll in the Science Police once her asylum request is accepted. Garridan Ranzz has a huge crush on her, though it remains to be seen if it will be reciprocated.
Powers: She originally had the power to project and control bright green flames. Her name, Fluorescent, was given to her after she lost control of her power. The Gil'Dan DNA also grants her bioflorescence, which means a green aura can be seen around her in dark settings. She is currently depowered but since her mutations are tied to DNA, it may be possible to be reversed.
Her sister has telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation. Unfortunately, her exterior features are deformed and she sometimes has problems moving quickly on land. Rann Antar noticed that she was drawn to water from a young age and wonders what other powers she may hold.
Recently, she received a package from Rann Antar describing that she has a half-sister that is still alive on Timna. This sister has a far higher concentration of Gil'Dan DNA than Anna, so Ran Antar feared she would turn into a monster. He tried to keep her existence a secret. He raised her as his own daughter and encouraged her to join the local Alchemy Piory, where she quickly ascended to the rank of Prioress. Anna is not sure if she should meet her sister and wants to think things through before confronting her.
