Yay! It was Projectra. She made him think he had a terrible disease that would only get worse due to his powers.
Over to you Chaim!

In the "threeboot", what is Star Boy allergic to, and which Legionnaire's parents were "hip" enough to be aware of that fact?

yes! it was Dupe while he was being duped
incidentally, the next issue made me really like Sussa. she encouraged Jo to go look for Tinya through time despite it breaking her heart

Sussa was happy to take over Orando and its people, so she's in the bad guy camp for me. Of course the LSV recruited a number of villains at the one time. Perhaps she simply didn't know how bad things would get.
An assist to Chaim for jogging my memory on this one. New Q soon.

I read Sussa in 5YL before I encountered here during the LSV/Orando War, so my perception of her is colored. If my first encounter with her had been the LSV War, I probably would have a different take...
I'm just glad the Reboot version kept her nose fairly clean. She was greedy, but was not willing to go to the lengths McCauley or Evolvo would. She also often acted as a conscience, speaking out against McCauley's environmental degredation and his willingness to sacrifice the Legionnaires.

Yeah, it's one of those sniffy opinions you get over a fictional character. I don't think I even had it at the time of the LSV story, But that's my positon now, and that's what counts.

Put me down as *much* preferring her portrayal 5YL and in the reboot over her portrayal in the LSV story or the Johnsboot.

I also use the Johnsboot to justify my view of her "Look! The true colours of this rarely used fictional character are clear to all under certain writers! Look at her actions reinforcing my latter day opinion!Look!"

Double ditto for me! - Duo Ibby[/quote] I quite like that she looks for the best option at any given time. Legion - LSV - LSV again and again (Baxter) - freelance - Legion - LSV (Johns).

Sometimes I wonder, would the LSV ever be a "best option"? I guess only if you can't get into the Legion OR if you're a villainous type of personality.
As for the Reboot, well, McCauley definitely paid better than the Legion did. And the threats faced by McCauley's Workforce.... were arguably less dangerous.

I guess only if you can't get into the Legion OR if you're a villainous type of personality Zmyr teleported a number of villains away from Takron Galtos. Not all the villains were taken, so the villains selected them. Spider Girl may have been one of those. If she didn't know the details of the plan then she may not have known how bad things were going to get. She may have acted reluctantly with them, aware of what would happen if she stepped out of line. Even if she knew more than that, what seemed like a fresh start in a new universe might have turned out to be a lot more than she bargained for, including the oath about killing the Legionnaires.

5YL it was retconned that they were all on drugs. The LSV was basically a strung out cult.

True. I remember she was one of the most horrified when Sun Emperor murdered an Orandan serving girl right in front of everyone for no reason...

ah, yes. They had that thing going on in the Johns story. Sussa then hooked up with Earth Man furthering that better option theory from earlier.
