Hi All,
So in my hurry to post in my last big batches i missed a scene that explains something Cadet Rol Purtha said later on during his meeting with Captain Allon. here is the post below.

Inside Domain's Dimension: Legion of Super Heroes Headquarters. Monitor Room.
Roll Call:
Dreamer – Nura Nal of Naltor U247 – precognition

Dreamer sat in the Monitor room by herself. The entire team was being treated to Domains dimension getting anything their minds could think of. She agreed to stay and see if their sensors could still be read from Earth. The dimensional rift didn't interfere. But Dreamer suspected that was Domains doing. He was working over time to impress Sensor.

“The headquarters is awfully quiet and I suspect it won't get much use aside from the official Legionnaires. I know the others are enjoying themselves but we don't trust Domain at all. He turned Cosmic Boy over as soon as he could. Even if we did set him up.” Dreamer thought to herself.

“We still need to find Brin and Shikari. But I feel they may be the least of our problems.” Dreamer sat still for a moment as she held the memory stone in her hand. Its gently shine memorizing her and making her relive the dream she had of the invasion that was coming. I wish I could contact Brainy or Lyle but I know its too soon. I can't prevent it.” Dreamer thought to herself. She knew this invasion was something that needed to happen for the sake of the entire universe. The nannites as useful as they were in keeping people safe from Mordru's absorption but they were dangerous all the same in the wrong hands.

Dreamer sat in her floating white chair hugging herself a bit her silky platinum blond hair falling into her face as her eyes glazed over for a moment. Bluish mist past by her as time stood still and a wave of white washed over her as she saw a purple hood figure walking slowly and disappearing into the mist and emerging from the mists was a slender young man with a mop of curly silver hair walking towards her.

“Dreamer is it?” Rol asked his smile sweet and simple.

“Rol Purtha... the Dream Boy.” Dreamer recalled her adventure with the other two Legions and how the Legion of Earth Prime had mentioned their missing teammate Dream Boy. If he was as spacey as her Earth-0 counter part and she had heard of the Prime's reality Dream Girl. But looking at this young man she could see that aspect and a discipline she had herself.

“Yes. Eventually as I'm sure you've seen that future.” Cadet Purtha smiled as the mist passed around them.

“I'm sorry this is a first for me. I haven't had a vision quest before. On my Naltor they don't train just anyone to do those.” Dreamer mentioned.

“On your Naltor?” Cadet Purtha wasn't sure what she meant.

Dreamer sat confused for a moment. She had thought that the Time Trapper had sent him to her.

“Uhmmm...” But before Dreamer could explain Cadet Purtha's eyes glazed over and he learned all that he needed to know about Dreamer, the Legion and his fellow Cadets.

“You're here to save our reality?” Cadet Purtha stood in shock as the mist passed through his curls.

“Yes. We needed a home and your reality need to be stabilized and the universe decided it be us to do so.” It was the simplest way she could put it as she wasn't sure what information he had just received from his vision. Clearly the Time Trapper had plans for bringing the Dream Boy to her.

“I'll do whatever I can and I think I know why I'm here. The invasion you saw. Its big. I've only seen glimpse of it. Those creatures are scary.” Cadet Purtha looked down for a moment.

“They are. But we will get through it. But I think I have a plan.” Dreamer glazed momentarily seeing a future where there was a group of cadets on Earth that would help her and the Legion fight them.

“Here. Touch the memory stone and I'll share my latest vision.” Dreamer stretched her hand out in real life and in the vision. In the mist Dream Boy reached out and felt the warmth of the white glossy stone.

“How is it we fight side by side unaffected? Those things are made from the nannites that all powered sentience have in the United Planets. Those things will take over the universe and attack Mordru in no time.”

“My team and I all have the bracelets, like some of your fellow cadets do and all of the Colu and any other being that can't be injected. All of us that aren't infected with them can starve off this invasion. But we have to work together and our current status as outlaws isn't going to help us.”

“I know.” Cadet Purtha couldn't help but frown at the thought of so many of those things coming.

“But I need help from my associate whom your fellow cadets Captured. He's in your sick bay and once he recovers you must get him back to us so he can perfect all of our bracelets and get all of you from my vision freed.”

“I'll do my best once I return to the academy.” Cadet Purtha stood and the mist around him began to billow up and in an instant he was gone.

Dreamer stood in the bluish mist as they wafted around her before her vision cleared and she was back in the Legion's monitor room.

Here is an update for everyone to get caught up as i know a lot has happened recently. Enjoy and more to come very soon!

The Remaining moments of the Cadets weekend off:
-Inferno returned to Scylla with Cadet Morgan aka Phy’r. While there Inferno learned that as a child she was possessed by the Black Diamond aka Eclipso as a child and it was her mother and Phy’r. They exercised as much of the Black Diamond as they could by creating a fire duplicate, who because of the darkness ages to be her older sister Sari instead of her twin sister, to house the darkness. But there was too much. Now the darkness has returned and taken over Inferno remerging her with Sari completing its darkness. Inferno escaped to parts unknown.

-Ferro and Captain Allon discuss Violet and where each of them stands with her. They also discussed the Legion’s rings. He gives the Legion Alpha Cadets the permission to wear and wants to find away to make more.

-Violet has her reality’s Gim Allon’s flight ring.

-The Alpha Cadets have returned from their weekend away but with it comes the news that their days as cadet’s are down to a week. President Chu has asked Captain Allon to pick a squad as Mordru has advanced his plans.

-Beta cadets Nepheus and Theena became alpha cadets.

-Saturn Girl and Live Wire debate their feelings about their new home and how they are forgetting their old lives as these new ones are so similar and their maybe a future for all of them here during the briefing meeting.

Missions during the last week:
-Mission to asteroid Vitaa to search for Silver Slasher. While there they end up also facing the Seed Man her partner. They both escaped.

-Mission to Boit and fight a Manhunter who’s created a cult. Cadet Sethno with help from a controlled Cadet Wel4d took out the Manhunter. But he lived beneath the rubble of the cave in.

-The cadets go after Evisceratronic on Vivarium, a former Science Police officer who turned to Mordru after Mano had disfigured him on the moon. Going back into the U.P. for revenge he didn’t make it as Mordru recalled the power he gave him killing him instantly.

-The search for the Elemental Rrox – Blok merged with Rrox after meeting the Celestial Gaia; who is one of 13 and the “parents” of the Elemental and facing the Ort-tapie.

-Investigating a ship from 600 years ago leads to Anndranna; a war world that was locked away inside a Threshold gate and held the cryogenically frozen General Metrixx-Kanndrnn. The Dark Man, who hired Tharok to steal the keys to reopen Anndranna to the universe followed them there and was revealed to be the Omniphagos; which in the Legion’s home reality was a beast that ate everything in its path and took the lives of Element Lad and Live Wire before Garth’s rebirth. In this reality it was an operative of the Anndranna's government that was going to be used in a last ditch effort to take out the United Planets. The cadets after a battle were able to lock away the Omniphagos by locking in the ark and sending it through the threshold gate to the coordinates of where the Legion first encountered the creature.

-During the battle Garth regained his lost arm.

-Cadet Ayrla’s weakness was reveled to Cadet Swanson.

-After the battle the President met with Captain Allon and Metrixx-Kanndrnn and he bequeathed the Anndrannian home world to Captain Allon and his cadets moving the academy to Anndranna. (*giving the Legion a version of Legion World)
-President Chu had a vision and wanted to use Anndranna as a prison for Mordru. But with the Cadets going there Mysa worries it will not happen.

-Cadet Lour’s power comes from stars and she exploded five in the delta quadrant; when she was almost eaten by the Omniphagos.

- Tharok put in the brig for a punishment but not kicked out and transferred to Takron-Galtos.

-Mission to Garon to hold tryouts and help with registration. While there it’s revealed that Cadet Kohan was captured by Mordru and tortured along with Cadet Rikane. It is revealed that Cadet Kohan also dated Dragonmage and was the one who brought him to Zerrox.
personal note: Cadet Kohan met with Dragonmage and confronted him.

While on Garon Cadet Tarka experienced a giant quantum wake in space.
Union and Veilmist added to the academy.

-Mission to Zundi to escort the cure for Gringott’s bone cure where they encountered Magnostar.

-Mission to Balt tower in Metropolis to collect underground nannite refugees. They captured two Legionnaires. (Starboy and Gear; whom was injured.)

-Cadets Dumaka and Ral go to Fuzzball to get Duzza root to help heal Gear.
-Captain Allon meets with Thom Kallor (Star Boy) and they both agree to disagree on how best to serve.

-Cadet along with Captain Allon and Alux Cuspin retrieve Cosmic Boy (Rokk Krinn) from the Legion and in the process the Legion are officially outlaws in the United Planets.
the Legion retreats into Domain's jacket dimension.

Jazmin Cullen felt the drain of anomaly on her powers. Tarka and her discuss returning to Doopa to see if his people are OK.
Captain Allon meets with Dragonmage and he agrees to help.
Captain Allon meets with Rol Purtha and he convinces the Captain to let him stay on Earth with the Earth squad and take the captured Gear with him. It is revealed he supplies Captain Allon with council from his visions.

The Final Squad is chosen and an Earth Squad is chosen as President Chu doesn't want to leave Earth completely defenseless.

-Saturn Girl pushed the Officers to Choose cadet Dryk Magz for the squad because of the Time Trapper's vision.
-The Legion Cadets discuss how they feel about staying in this reality and trying to continue on.
-Rol Purtha has a vision with Dreamer and she convinces him to help get the Earth squad nannite free and ready for the coming Invasion along with getting Gear returned to to the Legion Espionage Squad. She also shares with him that this reality is unstable.


On Colu:

-Brainy watches a video of his mother’s destructive work without noticing the pain of the subject. While over in Gux’s office he summons Neron the lord of lies and he informs him of his plan to turn Brainiac 5 into Neron’s new servant.

-Lyle left the Legion on Earth to visit Brainy but was sadly not met by Brainy but Andromeda and Representative Gux’s is doing his best to keep them apart and keep Brainy on the path to death and destruction.

-Brainy also had Sarnh Nux captured and is experimenting on her.
-In Gobu Virx and Brainiac 4 discuss him being Brainy’s father and how they will tell him.
-After telling Brainy that Virx is his father they discover she is actually pregnant again and with the first truly cybernetic child as Brainiac 4 was brought through a temporal storm after Brainy was born.

- Brainy's bonding to U248 happens before his eyes and he was on Colu until Brande bought him after too many explosions. His re entrance into U248 was rewritten as Colu called him back after Brande's death voiding their contract.

-Brainy has also altered the nannites to spread the cybernetic process to the rest of the galaxy and/or kill many people by making it almost like a virus. He shows Brainiac 4.

Brainy hires Grimbor and his League to find a Responsometer from the flash/Superman museum and to find a Mother Box of the New Gods. Brainy has only received the Responsometer so far.

-Neron is sensing Brainy's feelings for Lyle and wants it stopped.

On Daxam:


-M’Onel raced Ol-Vir in the Sol Room and they bond. But Dev-em, Ol-Vir’s older brother doesn’t like it and doesn’t want M’Onel anywhere near his brother.

-Lar Gand head of the Solaris Project gave M’Onel and Jl-ia new solar suits to test out. Unknown to the two of them they are being watched and by Roxxas and he has instructed Lar Gand to keep M’Onel busy and unknown to Lar, he instructed Dev-em to take care of things if Lar fails.

M'Onel spies on Roxxas' files and learns that the United Planets had nothing to do with the lock down of Daxam. But that it was Roxxas and the White Triangle. They used the nannites to create fake lead out breaks to call every Daxamite home. Then used the “infection from off worlders” theory to get the people to listen and comply. Eventually spreading their xenophobia planet wide in teaching programs.
M'Onel is attacked in the Sol Room by an unknown assailant and is found by Jl-ia.

On Earth – Legion Espionage squad

-Saturn Girl has a psychic session with Blast-Off and Atom'x and suggests they come to the academy.

-Meta offers Atom'x personal sessions to help separate him from Blast-Off.

-Dreamer gives Jacques Lyle’s spare ring and officially invites him into the Legion as the second Invisible kid. The ring has a bio luminescent function to make him visible.

-Dreamer inducted Gear into the fit-it squad even though the Time Trapper didn’t instruct her to and she knew he planned to punish her for it.

-the Cadet and the Legion face off as they try to save a few refuges. Gear and Star boy get captured. Gear gets injured.

-Three new refugees are staying at Legion headquarters.

The headquarters is moved into Domain's jacket dimension after it is revealed that the cadets and Cosmic Boy's manager is on the way to take him back.
Dreamer tells Cosmic Boy and Chameleon about the fit-it squad and their missions to help re-bond the team and save this reality.
Cosmic Boy places Chameleon in charge as the most senior member of the team left when he leaves to compete to become Magno ball Champion.

Other events:
-Grimbor is hired by Brainy to steal a Responsometer from the Superman/Flash Museum. While there they faced Cosmic Boy, Karate Kid, and Chameleon in there new uniforms which hid their faces. ( Brainy doesn’t know he has Timber Wolf and Shikari.)

-Grimbor decided to get help and form the League of Assassins to deal with the looming threat of the cadets to their way of life.
-Induces Magpie in to the League of Assassins.

-Mordru is starting to learn about the cadets and being suspicious but Mysa hopes she can keep him off her and the cadet’s trail.
the Emerald Eye pushes Mordru towards Skarla
Mordru and the Eye feel the presence of the anomaly strongest on Doopa but it is a UP world and off limits.
Mordru turns Kirth into an ice world after being displeased with them. Zoe Sugain the Emerald Empress helps the people and in the process a young woman who can wield ice is created.

The Time Trapper enters reality and walks across Doopa before disappearing.
President Chu has a conversation with Winema Wazzo the UP rep for Bgltz. The meeting is interrupted by her daughter this reality's Tinya Wazzo. But then a flash of white light and it is changed to Cub, Ultra Boy and Apparition's son with no one noticing.

Hey All it has been a while since I've posted. But i've got a lot coming out over the next couple days. I hope your ready for the storm of post. To warn you not every post will have a roll call. I hope you all enjoy the ride! Now here starts the Storm of post.

Roll Call:
Brainiac 5 -Querl Dox of Colu U 247 - 12th level intelligence , internalized force field apparatus
Invisible Kid – Lyle Norg of Earth U247 – invisibility

Brainiac 5 sat at outside Virx Dome waiting for Laurel and Lyle to arrive. Dusk had set in and the blue green sky had turned violet. The flowers on the vines of the Dome began to bloom. Their luminescent petals gently getting stronger casting a greenish hue.

“If I route the generators at Omari and Morai to compensate for the Mother Box's output at Oleicus it should allow for the a smoother information flow to the Responsometer.” Brainiac 5 thought to himself as he waited. Never stopping his work.

“Track thought 5... Temporal readings have been coming in from long range sensors. That's odd. They are pretty strong. Earth's had several Time flashes it seems. While there was a quantum wake out near several planets...Doopa but that region of space has an odd temporal signature I'm guessing from a near by singularity, Garon meanwhile...was light years away. But according to the United Planets registry it is a planet of Meta-humans or as they call themselves Mutants. Some of them must have a quantum or temporal power that the wave was drawn to. The Cadets were also there...I'll have to check in on the mission board later. Maybe either Kid Quantum was there...”Brainiac 5 had a habit of checking up on his teammates.

“This reality's stability is continuously fluctuating. Various parts of the universe are stable while parts right next to it are highly unstable. So far much of the instability is on Earth. All of the Legionnaires are there. Frankly anywhere a Legionnaire is right now seems to have the highest instability fluctuations. When will this stop?”

“Brainy were here!” Laurel called down as her and Lyle landed. In the months they've been here Laurel's learned that she's had to call out to Brainy when he's waiting for her as he gets deep in thought.

“Hmmm..Lyle. Laurel. I'm glad you could make the festivities.” Brainiac 5 gave a small smile as he put a way his omnicom.

“Yes. This is a special occasion. Brainy did you ever think you'd have a brother?” Laurel gushed a little bit.

“It is indeed a big occasion. I'm excited for my mother and Virx. I however never imagined having a sibling as most in the Brainiac line only had one child.”

“That explains a lot.” Lyle jabbed Brainiac 5 in the ribs gently.

“Funny. Virx and my mother are waiting inside. Virx has prepared a meal that smells appetizing.” Brainiac 5 moved to lead them in. But Lyle grabbed him by the arm gently.

“Laurel head on in. We'll be right along.” Brainiac 5 said.

Laurel nodded in agreement. They knew she could still hear them once she even went inside. But they still waited letting the glow setting in around them. Lyle let his hand slip into Querl's and let it stand for a moment before he spoke.

“How are you Querl?” Lyle looked into Querl's green eyes looking to see something.

“I'm fine Lyle. My parents have finally had the real time they never got to spend together and created another life. They also get to continue to propagate their genes and grow their species.” Brainiac 5 answered plainly.

“Querl. I know you can't be happy about the fact that you'll have a sibling who will get to have the mother and now father you never had. You can't just be fine. I know you.” Lyle searched again and protested. He knew Querl and he knew something was wrong.

“He's not acting like himself.” Lyle thought.

“Seriously Lyle. I'm fine. I've just got a lot on my mind as you know and as happy as I am about this its...well honestly its a bit of a distraction.” Brainiac 5 said bluntly.

“Happiness, jealousy, regret, sadness...those are all a distraction? So your saying emotions are a distraction?” Lyle knew something was different and it was that Brainy had begun to exhibit some of his old traits from before he was changed by the anomaly. Emotions and social interaction were never priority.

“In a manner of speaking yes. With everything going on yes. But...I'm sorry Lyle I just I'm over worked. I'm sorry for not being more emotional. I just find it easier to shut that train down when I have so much going on.” Querl shook his head a little while he responded and when he looked into Lyle's eyes Lyle saw the weariness and for the first time since he had arrived saw the Querl he fell for.

Lyle reached out and touched Querl's cheek.

“I'm sorry for pushing. I just want you to connect. Connect to me. I care a great deal about you Querl and even though I thought you were cute when you were abrasive and difficult to work with that's not the man I fell for. You need to communicate that to me. You don't want me to keep secrets and share myself. Please do the same.” Lyle pulled Brainy closer and gave him a gentle kiss on lips. The sky a dark midnight with the stars twinkling above and the flowers glow pulsating slowly around them.

This was the first real tender moment the two of them had had since Lyle's arrival. Lyle enveloped Brainy into a hug and Brainy's eyes began to tear. His pent up emotions and frustrations releasing as he sobbed a little.

Metaire

Representative Gux sat at his desk filling memo after memo and finding more tasks to keep Brainiac 5 busy. His office gloomy as the only light casting on him was the glow of his holo screens.

“Gux!” Neron screamed into life in fiery green flames disrupting the holo screen. Neron's face was contorted in anger and some pain.

“My lord what is happening to you?” Gux scrambled to make his markings of respect.

“Stop that! I'm starving. Your little Brainiac's soul isn't darkening and he hasn't sent me any new souls. I need this bargain filled!” Neron shouted slamming his fist into his golden thrown flames erupting around him bursting out. Gux coughing on the smoke and brimstone puffing into his face.

“Sir, I'm doing the best I can. He's constantly busy and his latest project with the Sharn Nux girl is quite torturous and the nannite programs will be deployed soon killing millions and delivering their souls to you.” Gux bowed.

“He's feeling Gux. I can feel him having emotions and caring about someone. I can feel love. Its like Nyrl all over again.” Neron's green eyes flared against his chalk white skin. His blond hair disheveled.

“I'll remedy this. I swear my lord.” Gux bowed again.

“You better!” with a snarl and burst of flame Neron disappeared.

Gux sat back and began to formulate a plot to get rid of those infernal “friends” of Brainiac 5's. He needed them gone.” Gux's tapped the tips of his fingers together as he sat in the dark. Thinking and thinking some more.

Daxam: Solaris Project compound: Sol Workout Room
Roll Call:
M'onel -Lar Gand (Valor) of Daxam U247 - flight, invulnerability, solar absorption and healing. X-ray vision, penetra- vision, heat vision, super breath, freeze breath, super human speed, reflexes, endurance and sense (vision, smell, hearing, touch.)

M'Onel walked into the Sol Room ready for his work out. He had hardly slept since reading about Daxam's compliance in the lock down of its people.

“This workout is to last two hours according to the schedule and I get to work out with Jl-ia. That should be a good workout and maybe she'll be nice and take it easy on me.” M'Onel thought to himself.

The Sol room was empty. A Sight not often seen. Dev-em or Lar were almost always in there training for the day Mordru may come back.

“This place is so quite in the mornings. Military bases are nothing like Legion ones. Even Legion World was always bustling. I don't think I ever saw the gym empty there.” M'Onel thought to himself as he began stretching. The Sun lights coming to life and warming up his bodies cells with their yellow light.

“Ahhhh. I've missed feeling this every day. Its still not the Sol of Earth but it definitely makes for a good substitute.” M'Onel thought to himself.

Flashing his eyes red over and over to flex those muscles before emitting several short blast at a target on the other side of the gym. The scorching hiss the only sound besides the gentle hum of the the Sun lights. M'Onel continued to stretch when suddenly the lights cut out. Completely leaving the red emergency lights on. M'Onel looked around confused when suddenly the window wall's iron metal barrier began to lower.

“What's going on? M'Onel called out. A flash of black shadow speed past him knocking him back and then again the shadow did the same racing behind him knocking him forward this time landing a punch to his shoulder. The shadow repeated this several times and with each pass struck another part of his body. M'Onel struggled with how fast his assailant was going. Without more time in the Sun lights he didn't have the speed to keep up. Thankfully his strength and invulnerability were keeping up and not letting the punches hurt as much.

Wham! Another punch was landed this time to M'Onel's face sending him back a few feet.

“Uhgg! Show your self!” M'Onel screamed as he flashed his laser vision casting it wide across the room. He knocked the shadow assailant back. But as quickly as it was knocked back it was up and running firing its own blast of laser vision at M'Onel who began using his own firing directly at them. The laser beams intensity growing as the two of them pushed back harder and harder.

“No! Not now!” M'Onel screamed in his head as he felt the yellow sunlight depleting from his cells.

“I can't keep this up much longer...” M'Onel began to push himself forward walking towards the shadow until finally they were so close that the laser beams were ready to burst and with a burst their beams exploded throwing both of them back. M'Onel hitting the wall while the Shadow caught itself in mid air and instantly flew down. It began beating on M'Onel hitting his face and chest over and over. M'Onel tried to fight back but every time he put his arms up the Shadow knocked them away with so much force it felt like they might be torn off.

M'Onel went to throw a punch one more time with every last bit of strength he had and the Shadow caught it and crushed his had.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” M'Onel screamed out and instantly the iron wall began to raise.

The shadow dropped M'Onel and speed away from the Sol room. The Sun lights flicked back to life as the door slid open and Jl-ia walked in.

“What's going on here?M'Onel!!!” Jl-ia screamed as she ran over to him taking him into her arms.

“Medical alert! Pass code Jl-ia 34 red!” instantly medical bots rushed into the room. Their thick drone bodies quickly working to pick M'Onel up and carry him off to the infirmary.

“Good job. Dev-em.” Roxxas watched the footage on his holo screen. Rewinding it over and over as he watched Jl-ia hold him and scream. Roxxas' grin grew wide.

“Lar, keep Jl-ia occupied. We don't need her helping his recover along and good job spying on him. He can not leak what he has learned.” Roxxas looked at the two of them standing still as can be their eyes straight forward.

“Yes, sir.”

“Now leave me.” Roxxas commanded as he returned his attention to his to the holo screen watching the battle and its final moments on a loop.

Montauk Point, Metropolis Earth - United Planets Special Unit training academy.
Graduation Day.

Captain Allon stood in his office the sun light shinning in. Captain Allon stood in front of the floating mirror straightening up his uniform. Today was the day he was going to present the Special Unit to the United Planets and then it was off to move the academy to Anndranna. But first things first the alpha cadets had been assembled in their meeting room and they needed to be told before the ceremony.

“It's just a small ceremony. I can get through this as much as I hate public speaking I can do this.” Captain Allon thought to himself checking his image one more time before making his way to the jump tube and to the Alpha Cadets meeting room.

The jump tube ride was quick and as always it made a mess of Captain Allon's hair. Fixing quickly in the hall Captain Allon made his way in tapping the holo light pad with his code.

“Cadets its great to see all of you here this morning. As you know today some of you will no longer be cadets and will be the special unit. Those of you that don't make the unit will be come instructors to the Beta and Omega cadets and as you've all been informed we will be moving to the planet Anndranna. This is a big day for all of us and its the start of the us finally working towards our goal of defeating the rule of Mordru.” Captain Allon stood before them smiling his biggest smile and they all returned it.

Each cadet smiled back at their Captain hungry for battle and prestige.

“When your name is called stand. Those who are called are the Special Unit.” Captain Allon still smiling so broadly that Officer Cuzmon had to nudge him to calm down a bit as his smile was starting to wig her out.

“Ahem....here we go.” Captain Allon cleared his throat.

“You are the Special Unit. Each of you will be going out to take on Mordru and any other threats the universe can throw at the United Planets. Now with the move to Anndranna we felt it was best if there was a squad here on Earth to help protect in case Mordru attacks the United Planets directly by going after the President. The six names Sergeant Erin calls will be the Earth Special Unit.” Captain Allon smiled out at the group again and moved to the side as he left Sergeant Shvaughn make the announcement.

“Alright everyone just as before stand when your name is called.” Shvaughn stood steady as she looked out at the crowd of cadets her long red thick hair pulled back into a tight ponytail.

“Earth Squad Roll Call, Lonny Evening, Tellus, Grava, Shazlon,Ollow Dulga and
Ral Benem. The six of you will take up residency in downtown Metropolis at Weinzberg Plaza. Officer Cuzmon will be moving there with you to keep things under control.” Sergeant Erin smiled at Officer Cuzmon while Captain Allon flashed a surprised smile. They all knew they would need to leave at least one supervising officer with them in case of emergencies but he never thought Gigi would agree to stay on Earth with the mysterious Anndranna waiting out there for her.

“Yes, I'll be your commanding officer and don't think for a second just because Captain Allon is away that its going to be all fun and games. We will continue to work and as your all aware we'll get some good practice with the local vigilantes running about.” Officer Cuzmon flashed a big smile and a glance at the Legionnaires letting them know that she wasn't going to take it easy on their friends.

Cadet Ardeen looked at Officer Cuzmon her eyes flashing a small amount of pink at her letting her know if she hurt her friends she would regret it. But Officer Cuzmon's smile never faded and she even gave her a wink.

“Captain, why aren't we protecting more planets by placing squads on all United Planet worlds?” Cadet Swanson asked. His glowing yellow eyes dull with sadness at not making the squad.

“Cadet, that is an eventual goal. But without more cadets that are fully trained we simply don't have the capabilities and those of you Alpha's that didn't make it will be more useful as instructors and back up for the Special Unit and the Earth until we can get more cadets trained and ready for action.” Captain Allon responded. He did his best to give a small smile while not showing any sign of weakness. He understood how much all of them wanted this. They had all worked hard but at this time some of them just didn't make the grade.

“Thank you Captain.” Cadet Swanson responded clearly still upset that he wasn't chosen and took his seat again.

“Cadets the ceremony will be short as the President will introduce each of you. Again you will stand but this time you will come up on to the stag and you will stand and have your holo taken in uniform where you will receive you official Science Police Badges. After the ceremony there will be a small reception with all of the United Planets Delegates. It would be in your best interest to chat with them and keep the lines of friendly communication open. Now that we have a little room from the President we will be dealing with many of these Delegates directly. Alright Cadets lets get this going.” Captain Allon smiled and saluted the cadets. All of them standing and returning his salute.

All of the cadets watched as their former instructors and now teammates walked out into the hall. Each of them milling about making their way out of the Alpha Cadets meeting room and to the jump tubes. The entire academy was in attendance along with almost all of the United Planets Representatives along with a few guest and reporters. The ceremony was on the back side of the academy just before the cliff into the bay. Below it the hanger was flooded with all the ships of the visiting dignitaries. The cadets quickly sat in their seats while the sun shined down on them. The breeze from the bay blowing gently. Berta Harris' eyes glowed violet as she controlled the winds from her seat. The weather control systems called for a beautiful sunny warm day but she knew these winds would be a bit rough this high up and right off the water.

“Berta dear what are you doing?” Candi asked tapping the young raven haired girl's shoulder.

“I'm just calming the winds. How did you know I was doing something?”

“Your eyes are glowing dear. They only glow when you use your powers and when your with Cadet... I mean Officer Nolan.” Candi gave a wink and a broad smile looking down at the small girl.

“I don't know what your talking about. Now if you'll let me concentrate on the winds and the President as she's about to start.” Berta did her best not to blush at Andy Nolan's name. But she had to admit there was something about him she liked.

Umbra walked briskly from the jump tubes before feeling a tugging at her arm which spun her behind one of the pillars of the academy's lobby.

“What...hmmmm...” Umbra began with protest before being enveloped in a warm passionate kiss.

“Chey-Nu.. what are you doing?” Umbra pulled away briskly.

“I thought I'd take a moment to congratulate the two of us on our new status. Come on give me some shade.” Chey-Nu tried to pull Umbra back in but this time she smacked him across the face and pushed him away.

“What gives?” Chey-Nu rubbed his cheek his blond hair falling in his face.

“You touch me when I want. Not when you want. This is a mutual agreement of pleasure Chey-Nu. I do not like being groped unaware.” Umbra straightened up her uniform. Its giant white shoulder pads off balance. She hated this Science Police garb and couldn't wait to get back into her Legion uniform. She remembered once upon a time hating it thinking it wasn't regal enough for her the Shadow Champion of Talok IV.

“Sorry Shades. I just haven't seen you in a while. Things have been pretty busy.” Chey-Nu rubbed his cheek as he moved closer again.

“Next time ask. Considering I could have done a lot worse damage even if you are a living sun...” Umbra teased new information she had learned about one of the other Dryadian cadets.

“How did you...” Chey-Nu stared back at her.

“Blok recently was chosen as the Earth Elemental and Imra mentioned that he would one day be a planet and it got me to thinking about your powers and how they work using all of the light spectrum and light sources and then I read your nannite readouts from some of our sparing matches. Whatever light you were using your energy matched perfectly with those of what you were mimicking. But none of the near by types of light were draining in energy and then I found out Blok is one in a generation from his file...your one in a generation just like Blok. Once you settle on a light that's what you become. Isn't it?”

“Yes. Fine your right. I'm a sprocking sun or white dwarf or whatever. A few of us on Dryad who have powers become a cosmic entity. Its just how it is. I've known this since I was a kid and my powers started showing up. The Dryadian government knows about it and usually when we're about to ascend we get a great big send off. Is that what you wanted to know?” Chey-Nu blue eyes bulged with anger and stormed off.

“I've fallen for a living sun...may the shadows of my ancestors save me. Chey-Nu wait!” Umbra called after him her cape of shadows trailing behind her doing her best to make this unbearable uniform work.

Tharok watched from the jump tubes with Twine as Umbra ran after Chey-Nu.

“Young love... how pathetic.” Twine rasped out adjusting her uniform. Much like Umbra she was used to wearing something a little more freeing.

“Oh Twine don't get your self all knotted up. Its cute.” Tharok gave a smarmy smile.

“I just want this day to be over. I hate being forced to socialize with these miscreants.” Twine's white eyes squinted as she looked out towards the stage and saw the President getting ready to start the ceremony.

“Lets go. It's starting.” Twine pulled Tharok along as he had stopped listening and began tinkering with a laser pen he stole from the lobby.

President Chu stood on the stage before the audience of cadets, science police academy staff, United Planets Representatives, and a few media interviewers. Her smile was big but in her mind she was chanting to keep herself at ease. This was a big day and she hopped Mysa was doing her part and keeping Mordru from knowing anything going on in the United Planets and this was sure to be in the feeds for the next few days.

“Welcome Sentient s of the United Planets to Montauk Point to the induction ceremony of these young individuals into the Science Police and into the first ever Meta-human squad designed to take on the great threats of Mordru, his agents and any threats the universe can throw at them. I'm very proud to introduce them to you all. As you can see our cadet program has over 300 cadets but the Meta-human Squad is comprised of the top 37 cadets and a Earth Squad of six. These cadets represent the best and brightest the Meta-human community has to offer to face our foes. Without further ado I give you the Meta-human Squad of the Science Police.” President Chu smiled throughout her speech as her image was holo cast to the audience in front of her. The sun shinning down on all of them a gentle breeze ruffling her long black hair.

President Chu called out each of the advancing alpha cadets and each of them went to the stage walking briskly to keep the pace of the ceremony. Their seats were placed behind the President's podium. Captain Allon, Sergeant Erin, and Officer Cuzmon already seated behind her. Each time a United Planets Representative saw one of their own advance across the stage they would stand and give a salute from their world. Dr. Aven stood and bowed gracefully while moving his hand in a circle when he saw Imra Ardeen the first cadet called to walk the stage. Imra looked out and returned it; doing her best not too look Aven directly in the eye while her holo picture was taken. All of the cadets followed suit.

“Angel, have you ever looked up your mother in this reality?” Jo Nah asked across the Legion's telepathic earplug channel as his wife sat next to him waiting for their names to be called.

“Not exactly. I know she's on Bzgtl according to her status with the United Planets. Why?” Tinya turned her head to look at her husband and instantly she saw what her husband saw when he looked out of the corner of his eye. Sitting there with her long black hair parted down the middle. Her purple lips pursed as she wore a pair of lavender frame less sunglasses.

“Mother!” Tinya squeaked out covering her mouth and nose with both of her hands.

“Yeah... it looks like reality is about to catch up to the two of us.” Jo put his arm around Tinya before motioning her to follow him up to the stage.

Tinya did her best to hide her face with her own long black hair that matched her mothers. She knew her name was fairly common back on Bzgtl in combination with her married name she had hopped her mother wouldn't recognize her. Tinya knew she wasn't ready to see her mother just yet and at such a public moment. But when Tinya stepped forward for her holo image and greeting from Winema Wazzo as the Bzglt's representative the shock on her mothers face was clear even though she did the Bzglt's getting of phasing her hands through each other and making the flying motion of a bird. Tinya did it back as she looked out and had the same shocked expression on her face as for the first time she saw who was sitting next to her mother, her son Cub who smiled brightly repeating the same greeting and jumping up and down. Tinya's shock turned to a smile and small tears started to form at the corners of her eyes. Once she took her seat she shot a look to Jo and he looked out into the crowd and saw Cub for himself. Rimbor's representative stood and pounded his chest on the left side of his body and Jo did the same with the biggest smile on his face as he looked at Cub and then he looked at Winema and saw the look of death, something he hadn't seen from his own realities Winema in a long while. Jo took Tinya's hand as the rest of the cadets were called. Neither of them could wait to go see their son but at the same time they didn't want to deal with reality's catch up backlash.

The Legionnaire cadets noticed Jo and Tinya's joy and shared it for the moment. But they hoped for their sake it wouldn't be short lived.

Cadet's Ayrla, Evening, and Wel4d stood and gave their worlds greetings even though neither of them had someone there to share the day with as their planets were in Mordru's territory. But the two of them gave each other a hug on stage to show solidarity. They knew probably more than anyone that this moment wasn't just a stepping stone to fighting Mordru but this was a moment to show the universe that there are those in the Dark Lord's territory that want his evil gone from the universe as well.

As Cadet Benem the final cadet advancing to the stage and taking his holo image and took his seat all of the graduated cadets stood and the crowd stood clapping respectful for all of them. Each newly minted officer smiling out to the crowd conveying fear, hope, and excitement they saluted and the ceremony ended with the Meta-human Squad marching off the stage to the reception area. Once inside the MHS's broke up into their individual groups. Umbra chasing after Chey-Nu who had made his way to the buffet table and began filling his face with Dryadian Wrythis a cookie infused with the Vallrul planet extract and Chi leaves from the ChiChi blossom then filled with a cream made from Grar gray berries. Chey-Nu was stuffing as much as he could in his mouth to keep him from having to really talk to any one.

“Chey-Nu. What is wrong with you?” Umbra asked spinning him around instantly getting a bit of the Wrythis cookie in her face.

“What?” Chey-Nu said with a mouth full of the cookie his cheeks puffed out and covered in cream.

“One clean yourself up.” Umbra handed him a napkin after cleaning herself up from the cookie bits. Nothing but disgust on her face and rolling her eyes as she handed the napkin to him.

“Two. Why would you hide that from me? Why would you hide that at all? You have the potential so be something great.”

“Yeah and give up who I am. Don't you get it. I lose all sentience when I become whatever it is I become. Blok had it easy. At least he knew he'd be a planet. But I have no idea what I'll become.” Chey-Nu's blue eyes began to water a little and Umbra's anger melted a bit.

“I understand losing yourself. I understand not having a connection to your past and who you are. I even understand not getting to make your own decisions. But if this is a natural progression of your bodies evolution than you can't be ashamed. Be scared but not ashamed.” Umbra gently took Chey-Nu's hand in her left hand and then stroked his cheek with her right.

“Thank you Umbra. But that's not much consolation. I don't want to become a sun or white dwarf or whatever the cosmos has in store for me. I just want to go out there kick some nass and take names and come home to you.” Chey-Nu smiled small as he looked into Umbra's shocked black eyes.

At that moment Umbra understood some of his impulsiveness. He lived every day not knowing if he was going to ascend and forget his life and so he made it as full as he could.

“Well. You'll get to do that. But not if you turn away from me and not communicate. That is one of a warriors... a champions greatest assets.” Umbra was keeping a brave face for Chey-Nu but inside she had to admit to herself that the thought of Chey-Nu leaving her and never able to come back crushed her a bit. She had never imagined having feelings for someone. She had always knew her marriage would be arranged by the Tribal Elder's had she not found a suitable champion of her choosing. In all her time with the Legion she hadn't found someone she had connected to on that level and now that she had she wasn't sure if she was willing to give it up.

“Hhahah! Mommy! Daddy!” Cub ran into the reception area running straight at his parents who both stood at the center of the reception area waiting for the inevitable a meeting with Winema. But they never imagined it would be their son Cub running and screaming mommy and daddy at them first. They never thought this would be a sound either of them would hear again. Tinya instantly bent down with her arms wide open and she watched her son run towards her phasing through various groups of people and wait staff all of who were shocked and did their best to avoid the advancing young boy.

Cub crashed into Tinya's arms who closed them tight around Cub's 5 year old body. His black hair rubbing against her cheek tickling her a bit. The smell of his head was fresh with a hint of peanut gel and jelly jam. Jo bent down his brown eyes almost in tears as he rubbed the top of Cub's head.

Winema Wazzo strode into the reception area walking briskly trying not to break into a full run as she chased after her grandson. She knew where he was going and she wasn't happy about it.

“Tinya. Jo.” Winema caught up to them and instantly she was ridged as she saw her grandson in the arms of his parents.

“Mother, its good to see you. When did you get back from Bzgtl?” Tinya slowly let go of Cub and stood up.

“I feel so small.” Tinya thought to herself as she looked at her mother who looked a little older than she remembered her. But having a perspicuous grandson like Cub she could see why she looked older. Tinya smiled at Cub who smiled back at her missing one tooth from his front teeth.

“We arrived yesterday. I've returned to active duty with the United Planets now that Cub is all better.” Winema said flatly. She was too angry to show any emotion for fear of lashing out in public.

“Now that Cub's better? What do you mean?” Jo stood now his hand on Tinya's shoulder who's face was worries as can be. Both of them fearing that Cub's speed up aging had been reinterpreted here in this reality.

“Are you joking Ultra Boy?” Winema asked coldly.

“Ultra Boy?” Jo and Tinya looked at each other in confusion and fear.

“Yes, my pet name for you or would you prefer I go back to Ultra Jerk? What is with the two of you? You act like neither of you remember me or your son. You enroll in a cadet program to fight Mordru and don't even contact us.” Winema started to fly off the handle a little and forgot that Cub was standing right there as this argument began.

“Let's go get some food buddy and you can fill me in on...anything you want.” Jo smiled brightly as he picked up Cub and hosted him on to his shoulder.

“Yahhh! I want Ice cream!” Cub screamed laughing the entire way to the dessert table.

“Mother, that wasn't necessary if you want to talk I'm more than willing to.” Tinya did her best to restrain herself and not fall back into old habits of arguing with her mother although she had wished a thousand times over that she would get this chance again.

Tinya hushed her voice a bit and moved Winema over to a side floating table that had been set up for people to eat and mingle. Winema pulled her elbow away gently trying to contain herself.

“Now, Mother the reason I didn't contact you was our return was rather unexpected and you were on Bzgtl during the great shift. You know communication is horrible with Bzgtl during it and I honestly... I didn't know what to say.” Tinya wasn't lying she had no clue what to say to this realities version of the mother.

“How about how is my son whom I asked you to take to Bzgtl to see if the great shift could help heal him from his permanent intangibility.” Winema had a small tear in her eye that could be seen seeping out from under her frame less glasses.

Tinya breathed a small sigh of relief that it wasn't him rapidly aging again.

“How did that happen?” Tinya had to just own up to her memory loss as she had no clue how those events played out in this reality as she never got a chance to tell her mother the full story of how Cub stopped aging.

“Are you serious? Cub was aging fast due to the Ultra-Genes from Uboy over there and your friends saved him by triggering his intangibility. After you and your friends saved Cub from aging fast by keeping him intangible you asked me to take him to Bzgtl. You thought maybe a few cycles of the great shift might help him realign. I wanted you to come with me. But you and your friends were off on some grand adventure.” The hurt in Winema's voice and stance was clear. She didn't understand why her daughter would choose to leave her son in his condition to go gallivanting around the galaxy.

“So that's what me in this reality said. No wonder she can't look at me without getting that anger vain in her neck...I wonder if she knows I'm part Craggiate.” Tinya thought to herself knowing she must seem like a horrible mother and person.

The sun was shinning down on them brightly. Tinya wasn't sure what to say for a moment and then as she was about to speak the sun started getting brighter until it was a white light and Tinya realized it wasn't the sun but a wave of anti-matter. Something else else she had seen a hundred times now. Tinya turned to run to Cub and Jo. She knew she couldn't save them from its energy but she at least wanted to have them in her arms. The Legionnaires all looked around and saw it. But none of the natives to this reality seemed to notice. They didn't even bat an eye lash. Jazmin's hands were a live with amber energy that at first was weak from the quantum wake in space but as the wave of anti-matter washed over her she felt re energized and instantly the world about them was frozen changing to gray.

“What's going on?” Andy asked waving his hand in front of a frozen Berta.

“I'm not sure. But Time seems to have stopped...But the last time this happened reality almost collapsed because of the Time Trapper.” Jazmin flexed her powers again to see if they worked in this frozen moment. She looked over at Bogdan Tarka and wondered if was in one of his fissures would he be immune to this time freeze.

“I haven't gotten any messages from the Time Trapper...” Imra thought to herself.

“Could this be the new version of the test the Trapper put us through? One of the many events that might have to be redone to cement us here.” Garth asked running his newly returned hand through his freshly cut hair with it long on the top and the sides and back shaved down.

“Doubtful. I think this is one of realities hiccups. We all know this place is unstable and this might be one of the break downs...”Ayla said tapping several of the delegates on random parts of their faces to see if they feel it. She wasn't going to shy away from what they all were thinking.

“I think your right...Everyone look its another wave! Everyone back to where you were.” Imra yelled out as it washed over them and instantly the gray scale was gone and the reception returned to life.

“Are you serious? Tinya you said Cub was rapidly aging because of your Third self's soul being birthed into him because of you phasing when you were told not to during your pregnancy and after you found your third self's touch stone you were able to reabsorb that piece of your soul to cure him, then you sent him to live with me while you and Ultra Jerk took off to find your father and the criminals he sold your other selves to. But while we were on Bzgtl, the great shift caused his ultra-genes to kick in and made him intangible on an intangible world for most of our stay but then a couple months ago he became tangible again. I thought I was about to lose him...I had already lost you.” Winema hugged herself.*(Apparition's finding of her third self was revealed in Reboot's story. “Mother.” Tinya didn't know what to say all she could do was move in and hug her mother tight. Winema hugged her back tightly as if she would never let go again and Tinya for the first time in her entire life was happy about that.

“Imra...my mothers story about Cub changed after the time freeze. First it was because of the Ultra-genes but then it was about my third self. Did reality just rewrite itself in front of us?” Tinya thought over the Legion's telepathic ear plug frequency.

“Yes... I think it did.” Imra's blue eyes widened in disbelief as it was shared with all of the Legionnaires each of them having the same inner reaction. They had never seen reality rewrite itself before.

“Imra... there's one more thing. She said that Cub was intangible up until a few months ago and I think he became tangible again when we entered into this reality...I think were the reason Cub is even alive in this reality...” Tinya's blue eyes watered for a second before she wiped them away and let go of her mother and motioned for the two of them to join Cub and Jo for some food.

Imra Ardeen stood there with Tinya's words echoing in her head her blue eyes wide as her powers started to flare up as she sensed a message coming from the Time Trapper. Imra's mind was flooded with visions. She imaged this is how Nura felt when she received her visions. The Time Trapper's next missions were about to begin and Imra was scared for what she was going to see. Captain Allon and Vi as the emerald empress in an embrace with the Emerald Eye above them. She remembered this vision from Dreamer but now it was clearer and she knew it was soon. A familiar figure loomed over her its six arms stretching out before her and then she was encased in darkness in a cocoon of thick white webbing. Flashes of Ayla and Cadet Ayrla swapping back and forth and an image that was more like a memory of herself, Garth, and several other Legionaries using lighting rods on Korbal to revive her but there was a small flash of a funeral that she couldn't make out only a golden statue being erected. Imra's eyes returned to normal and she looked around and realized she was looking at Gil Swanson and Ayrla talking.

“I guess its time for Ayla's turn to bond.” Imra thought to herself giving herself a hug. She hated putting her future sister in laws life in the balance. But if she didn't this world and all of them could cease to exist.

Garth quickly ran up to Imra and grabbed her gently by the waist.

“You alright?” Garth nestled his cheek to hers. The delegates were still pilling in and he knew they would only get a moment before it all started.

“Fine. Tired I supposed. But hopeful. We move to Anndranna in a few days. It's almost like we've got Legion World again. Things are looking up.” Imra lied to her fiance. She hated it but she had to.

“I know. Its exciting.” Garth wasn't as fine as he was letting on. He was scared that his returned arm could mean other parts of his history could be coming back sooner than he'd like.

The delegates and the former cadets mingled for the rest of the afternoon. Enjoying the sunny day and food provided. Captain Allon walked around sampling all the food the reception had to offer. But he had to admit that he couldn't wait to get to Anndranna and start things off right. Vi had finished talking with the Imskian representative and looked over at the Captain as he stuffed his face and she couldn't help but laugh to herself.

Meanwhile, James Cullen floated at the edge of the cliff looking out at the calm bay as it ebbed the waves hitting the rocks below him. He figured Candi, Jazmin, and Thom could handle the delegates.

“I left everything to come here. They said I was the best. That I was gonna be chosen. That I was unique and then she showed up. She always shows up and ruins everything.” James thought to himself his purple glow surrounding his body.

“James?” Jazmin called from the edge of the cliff below him.

“Yes?” James didn't even look down. He knew who it was.

“Is something wrong?” Jazmin slowly floated up next to him activating her flight ring.

“Everything is wrong.” James continued to stare off into the horizon the wind brushing about his small dreads.

“Why?” Jazmin tried to get him to look at her but he wouldn't.

“You're what's wrong. They said I was one of a kind and would be so useful in the battle against Mordru and then you showed up and you had to be better. You always have to be better Jaz. You get the enhancements so you don't have to rely on a belt like me. You become top of our class just like when we were kids and you ask me what's wrong. I'm tired of coming in second fiddle to you. I'm tired of you and thankfully I get to leave this retched academy.” Jame's finally turned and looked at her. His brown eyes wild with anger.

“What are you talking about?” Jazmin's was bewildered. She knew James had always been competitive but this was something she never saw in him before. Pure jealousy.

“Xanthu just told the Captain that since I didn't make the Meta-human squad they needed me back for protection and since Earth is having an Earth squad to defend against Mordru they feel they should have a squad too. The Amazers are coming back and I'll be leading.” James stiffened up even more.

“James I never meant for that to happen. I thought we would serve together. Your skills are just as good as mine.”

“Apparently, not enough. Enjoy your time in the sun sister. Who knows how long it will last.” James glared at her.

James Cullen flew away from his sister at that moment his purple glow surrounding his body as he moved back towards the reception. Jazmin had thought they had mended fences and that she might have her brother back. But that was not meant to be. Jazmin turned back to the bay and hugged herself and tears rolled down her cheeks.

Cadet Swanson looked around after Ayrla had left to go talk to some of the delegates. His white hair had a streak of yellow from his eyes. He was clearly excited for the party. He understood not making the squad. His gifts weren't always the best in a crisis situation. But he knew his father wasn't going to be happy in the slightest. He wanted Gil on the squad more than Gil did himself. Gil grabbed a small handful of Winathian blue berries when he saw his father surrounded by his security guards. Gil was taller and more muscular than his father. But Gil didn't have the brains and business swagger his father did.

“Giiillll” Leland McCauley called out through the crowd to his son his arms wide open holding on to his cane while his six guards walked in a circle around him.

“Father. Its good to see you. Your assistant didn't send your usual message.” the yellow streak and light in Gil's eyes dimmed a bit. He knew he had to keep it as bright as he could. His father would know he was upset if he didn't.

Little did Gil know his father had no clue that was part of Gil's mutation. He assumed it was the latest holo cosmetic fade his son was interested in.

“I thought I'd surprise you on your big day. But it turns out its not your big day after all. You're still a cadet.” Leland McCauley didn't let his smile drop as his son was enveloped into his inner security bubble.

“I'm sorry father. I tried. I passed all my courses and I did well on missions. But my powers just weren't as useful. But they think I might be good behind the scenes. My invisibility and flight are great assets to espionage.” Gil gave a smile and tried to sound enthusiastic.

“Is that what they told you or is this you just trying to make the best of your failure?” McCauley wasn't going to pull punches with his son. He was the best Terran entrepreneur in the known galaxy and he wasn't going to take failure in his family.

“Sorry father. Captain Allon said more spots will open soon. I'll try harder.” Gil bowed his head.

“See to it and while your doing that I think I may need to think of something for you and a few other meta-humans to do....” McCauley quickly took out his omnicom and made a few notes and abruptly turned his with security his as they walked away from Gil.

McCauley walked back to his hover car quickly. He did his fatherly duty to show up and now that his son is the disappointment he usually was he was ready to leave. The small black and gold hover car waited in the sub level hanger. McCauley stayed vigilant not to let anyone sneak up on him. His security was top notch but even they could miss something. The jump tube was the worst part as it allowed for two of them to be at his side and then the rest in front or back.

“I should hire some eye candy for these types of jumps.” McCauley thought to himself.

Walking briskly in his circle McCauley stopped dead in his tracks.

“McCauley.” Cadet Mano stood next to his black and gold hover car.

“M...Mm...Mano. What are you doing here? I have a restraining order against you and President Chu assured me you were going to be occupied during my visit.” McCauley held his cane tight after he regained his composure and patted down his blond hair.

“I was. But I couldn't let you leave without saying hello and...goodbye.” Mano's right hand glowed its black and blue destructive energy crackling as he lowered his hand to the car gently carving his name into the hood.

“Aren't you glad you sent me here. You've given me something you never could in all those weeks.”

“What's that?” McCauley scoffed.

“Control.” Mano's white eyes wide with anger. He stood and McCauley's security readied their weapons.

“Don't worry. Today was just a warning.” Mano walked past McCauley and his security to the jump tube. Just before boarding he turned back.

“Safe travels to hell McCauley.” with those parting words Mano left.

McCauley quickly got into is hover car.

“Driver get me out of her. This place gives me the creeps.” McCauley ordered.

“You scare too easy.” a voice from across the small hover car spoke up.

“Did I ask for your opinion? You weren't hunted and tortured by that creature.”

“You shouldn't be afraid of your creations. You control them. I thought I had taught you that by now.” Leaning forward and into the light Ra's al Ghul took a sip of water.

“I'm not in the mood.”

“I'm sorry since when do you have a choice to listen to me?” Ra's al Ghul didn't raise his voice. He simply flashed a small glare from his eyes.

“Sorry master. It's just our plans are disrupted. Gil didn't make the squad and Mano is a loose cannon. Our attempts at making Meta-humans and having them infiltrate the science police haven't gone well. President Chu still doesn't trust me enough to be a confidant for any secrets and I honestly hate having to play “father” ” McCauley slumped in his seat.

“So our plans may take more time. Time is something we have plenty of. Besides The United Planets needs to ride the universe of Mordru first before our plans can really take shape and stop your whining about Gil. He's been a fine “son” for you. Done everything you've asked of him. Besides he's the most successful of your experiments.”

“Speaking of...will you ever tell me exactly what you have in store?” McCauley didn't trust Ra's al Ghul. But he didn't have much choice.

“All in do time.” Ra's al Ghul sat back and looked out the window as the hover car took off out of the hanger.

Chameleon sat in the empty Headquarters at the holo meeting table.

“I should look him up. I should just call him.” Chameleon thought to himself as he stared at a holo feed about Durla's latest religious festival.

“This reality has done so much more to try and be inclusive of my people it seems. We never had feeds like this in our reality.” Chameleon thought to himself.

“Cham?” Nura stepped out from the monitor room.

“Nura? I didn't think anyone was in here.” Chameleon gestured for her to join him.

“I'm not big on Domain's fun house. Besides the visions have been coming a lot and being around everyone just makes me feel left out.” Nura admitted.

“I understand. Anything new?” Chameleon's voice was somewhat cold. He had just found out the Time Trapper had tasked his teammates...his friends...his family with recreating their history from the good to the bad to save themselves and this reality. Even though he understood their motives and that it was for the greater good it wasn't something he was happy with.

“Yes...Cham take the stone.” Nura held out the stone for Chameleon and he touched it gently knowing it was the easiest way.

Chameleon's mind was filled with visions of Captain Allon and Vi as the emerald empress in an embrace with the Emerald Eye above them. A familiar figure loomed over Imra, its six arms stretching out before her and then she was encased in darkness in a cocoon of thick white webbing. Flashes of Ayla and Cadet Ayrla swapping back and forth and an image of several Legionaries using lighting rods on Korbal to revive Ayla but there was a small flash of a funeral that wasn't clear besides a golden statue being erected.

“Was that...was that Ayla's death?” Chameleon's eyes began to water.

“No. She's not the one who dies. I know that. But I showed you because I wanted to keep you in the loop. I know you don't like what we've been tasked with and I don't blame you. I just ask that as long as I keep you up to date that you will stay out of the way and let us do what we need.” Nura tried her best to be practical and impartial about this. But she wasn't sure she was strong enough to.

“I'll do my best. But I can't make that promise.”

Suddenly the sensors of the holo table began to go crazy.

“What's going on?” Nura stood instantly as Chameleon began tapping away at the holo keys extending his fingers out three inches and creating four extra ones to type faster.

“According to the readings its a chronological surge. A wave of anti-matter swept across the universe...and there was some weird anomaly out in space that had a similar energy.” Chameleon studied the readings. He wasn't Brainy or Lyle but he remembered enough about what they had said that he knew what was coming.

“It's the anomaly... I know it is. It's had to of reappeared to cause this kind of reaction. Its entrance into this unstable reality caused shock waves.” Chameleon continued to run readings.

“But why weren't we affected?” Nura asked.

“It must be Domain's technology. It must interfere enough for us to not feel it. But I wonder what this means for us...” Chameleon looked at Nura who hugged herself.

Neither of them noticing the Dularian feed showing the announcement of their newest weapon to help defend them against the likes of Mordru. Chameleon's father stood in his ceremonial robes in front of a group of pink crystals that swirled with red protoplasm waiting to be freed.

Mordru's Territory: Kirth

Zoe sat on a small boulder over looking a red sea. The winds whipping about tussling her long red hair. Zoe instantly began to glow and her short brown blouse shifted into a long thermal green jacket for herself. She looked over her shoulder and waited as Mordru finished his business.

“AHHH” Mordru screamed as he rampaged across the small world. His hands glowing as he did a weather dance to change their world. Growing 50 feet tall and stomping his feet sending earthquakes laced with magical energy shifting the world underneath him and freezing it from withing.

Zoe looked over her shoulder some more and hopped that her telekinetic shields would hold until he was done.

“What is the meaning of this? I feel my power stretched throughout this world in clusters.” in a blink of Emerald energy the Emerald Eye was there beside her.

“I'm using it along with my own powers to protect the Kirthians. They displeased Mordru with their tribute. He didn't find it festive enough and many of their art works were not as flattering as the Dark Lord thought. He said I could protect them but their punishment was their world's changing. I'm getting so sick of these tantrums.” Zoe huffed and her breath coming out in a hot cloud.

“His tantrums are what keep him busy and out of our hair. You know this.” the Emerald Eye chastised.

“Well for that to continue he needs subjects. Hence the protection.” Zoe stood changing her outfit into a full body suit and a cloak. Zoe pulled its billowing green silk about her. She hated having to leave these people at his mercy.

“Fine. I will call him back to Zerrox and you can do your usual clean up.” the Emerald Eye didn't wait for her response as it zipped off towards Mordru.

Within a few moments Mordru stopped and listened to the Eye and with a wave of his hand Mordru and the Emerald Eye shimmered away.

Zoe reached out with the Emerald energy and sensed what Mordru had done to this world. The earth frozen over. The core no longer made of fire but of ice. Trees, grass, oceans all frozen over.

“He made an ice world and made it so that everything here grows of ice. Great...maybe if I change the spell to affect the people so...” Zoe thought out as she called on magics she's learned over the years on Zerrox calling forth the transformation powers of the Old ones and casting the people of Kirth in ice she can save them.

“AHHHHH” screams across Kirth broke out as the Kirthian's changed freezing from the inside out. None of them feeling pain. Their screams were of fear not knowing what was happening to them and their world.

“What's done is done. But now at least you'll all be a live. Welcome to Kirth home of the Ice people.” Zoe felt herself a little drained from the spell. Glowing a bright green Zoe slowly disappeared as the people of Kirth explored their new way of life.

A young girl whose once blond hair had become snow white, and hard as ice staggered away from the lowering telekinetic shields her people were in. Her eyes filled with blue ice.

“What has happened to us?” She looked down at her hands as she held glowing balls of blue light that began to form into snowballs. Looking around she saw the same dazed and confused look she had her self. But what she didn't see was glowing hands and snow balls. Casting her hands down the snow began to pour from them and instantly she began to be lifted into the air.

The Kirthians watched amazed at the young woman flying off into the sky propelled by snow and ice. When snow began to fall for the first time on Kirth leaving it in a picturesque silence for the first time that day.

A sleek silver fighter cruiser glided through the stars. Its two thrusters burning bright above the body connected by thick tubes down to the hull on both sides. A window in the front of the hull started out straight ahead as the stars whizzed by.

Shikari stood at the helm of the cruiser looking out the window. Her battle exoskeleton armor still engaged. Her blueish hair in tangles all about her face as the crown of wires twisted and knotted into it. It had been weeks since she had let down her warrior skin. Even though she was under the control of someone else she wasn't willing to be that vulnerable. The sense jewel at the center of her forehead glowed reaching out into the cosmos in search of a Mother Box.

“Does it always take this long?” Micro Lad spun around in his floating chair.

“GrrrrrrRR!” Timber Wolf growled at Micro Lad from his seat next to Shikari. Timber Wolf rarely left her side.

“Hush. Don't be such a child.” Grimbor sat in his captains. He knew Shikari's finding power could take a while.

“He has a point Grimbor. We've been in space for a few days now and even with the slipstream jumps we've found nothing. Where is she taking us? Sprock what are we even looking for? Titania filed her pink nails. She maybe super strong but it wasn't a reason to not look her best.

“Where? Unknown. What? That is a bit harder to explain.” Grimbor began tapping the holo keys in his arm rest bringing up a holographic image of a Mother Box.

“This device is...unique. It's known as a Mother Box, a device that belonged to the fabled New Gods of New Genesis and Apokolips. It has many and I mean many capabilities and if this device wasn't bringing in quiet a pretty credit I'd think of keeping it for myself.” Grimbor's black eye's gleamed looking at the holo of the Mother Box.

“The New Gods? No ones heard from any of them, in what a 1000 years?” Gangbuster checked the communication bands for any Science Police activity they should avoid.

“True. But just like their legacy their technology exists out in the cosmos and we are out to find it.” Grimbor left it at that. He knew they were restless but the payment for this job would set them all up for the next three decades.

“The course were going on seems to lead further into a sector of the Milky Way that isn't widely populated or explored. There are seven planets that exhibit living conditions for most standard humanoids and of those seven 3 exhibit signs of interstellar travel.” Magpie the latest addition to the League of Assassins pointed out checking the readouts from the long range planetary scanners.

“Those are good leads.”

“It's there!” Shikari raised her arm and pointed as she called out. The jewel at her forehead glowing bright as she imputed the coordinates from her crown to the ships computers.

The ship lurched slightly sending Titania and Magpie flying.

“Oooo. Where are we going?” Grimbor's voice was filled with delight.

“Medusa!” Shikari called out and before them stood a blue marble of a world mist of hot gas passed by it as its Green Sun shown down on the planet.

On the blue planet below trees rustled as the wind whipped through its branches. Throughout the forest the winds carried the hum of its followers as they made their way to a clearing at the center of the forest. Their yellow and white glow rods blazing into the darkened forest shedding light on countless stone statues leading the way to the clearing and the temple of the Stone and the Serpent. Yellow glow rods placed evenly around the mound the temple sits on. Stone pillars holding the glow rods in place and cracked stone steps covered in vines and moss. At the center of the mound stood the temple. Five pillars stood in a circle with a dome above it. In between the pillars stone walls concealed the inner workings of the temple. A alter sat just outside the temple's doors where the daily offerings were burned to appease their God. The local inhabitants in white robes surrounded the temple as they waited their daily transformation from their God.

The iron temple doors creaked open letting in the glow of the yellow glow rods. Its light bringing forth the form of their God. Slowly a figure in a red and gray cloak stepped out of the temple and in front of the alter. Raising its hands high in the sky its cracked gray talons holding a golden mask.

“For the Serpent I render you all welcome and turn your love to Stone.” The golden mask glowed bright and with a thrust its power flowed out pushing the cloaked figure's hood back revealing a head full of unruly red and brown snakes and the face of an angel. With a wave of energy the entire gathered group turned to stone.

“AHHH!!” The snake haired woman breathed in as she felt the energy of her followers flow through her.

“Soon, She will return and when she does I'll be ready.” The snake haired woman said to herself as she lowered the golden mask and looked down at her locket. Its energy crackling around its clear sphere. The small Mother Box beeping too life as it helped power the golden mask to its optimal power levels.

Metrixx-Kanndrnn – cryogenicly frozen Anndranna General. Half man half machine. Suffers from delusions and violent spasms

Metrixx-Kanndrnn walked around Anndranna with Captain Allon and Sergeant Erin. The light from the White Dwarf filtered through its atmosphere creating a purple and gold sky.

“Is everything to your standards Captain?” Metrixx-Kanndrnn asked checking his omnicom as his left mechanical eye fluttered.

“Yes Sir. Everything is to the specifications we sent over. The main continent is completely retro fitted to what we need. There are plenty of living quarters for the cadets we have and then some. Each facility from the hospital to the embassy is beyond anything we had on Earth. You and all of the technicians have worked very hard and done a great job.” Captain Allon was impressed.

“Yes, things are coming along nicely. Although I do advise that once I go back into hibernation you get another head technician. That Cadet Tharok isn't very trustworthy. I caught him trying to steal some of the technology just this morning.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn reported dutiful.

“Thank you. We will be looking into it.” Sergeant Erin responded while studying the schematics and making a note in Tharok's file and sending him modification to his tracking in his nannites programs restricting him from certain areas and increased the surveillance of his lodgings.

“I'd suggest a Coluian for the job. But in the meantime I would suggest a young man we hired through your United Planets recommendations a Mister Chuck Taine. He has been most helpful in upgrading much of the infrastructure of Anndranna.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn said matter of factually.

“We will look into his profile to see if he fits. So far many have only been given certain clearance levels and we have highly classified information and personal here. Once we finish a background check we will talk to Mr. Taine.” Captain Allon answered. The three of them continued past the newly constructed “downtown” area.

Near the outskirts of the city construction had finished on the new gym and training arena. Lu Durgo, Ayla Ranzz, Cadet Gil Swanson, Ayrla, Ming Sul, Imra Ardeen and Omega Cadets Veilmist, Union, and Pollen stood in the massive outside arena next to the gym itself. A giant clear dome over the top of it with an observation deck at its very top. The walls lined with compartments hiding an array of arsenal to throw at the Officers and cadets.

“Captain Allon has ordered training tests for the new facility and we have all been selected to do so. Omega Cadets this is part of your daily workout. So treat it as such. Union and Veilmist will be training with Officer Sul and Myself. While Pollen will train with Officer Razz, Ayrla, and Beta Cadet Swanson.” Officer Durgo gave out the orders.

“Isn't that a bit much Lu?” Imra asked looking at the course Lu had set for the four of them to train against on the jumbo holo screen.

“Well we need to get your vision to come true and besides have you read Pollen's file?” Lu handed Imra her omnicom.

Imra was shocked. The power levels of this small girl were impressive. Not only was she a plant and could transfer her consciousness to other plants and control them but she could take them over and make it her new body if hers was in danger. Able to regenerate at accelerated speeds.

“Those are pretty impressive.”

“Did you see the last line?” Lu tapped the screen of the omnicom highlighting it.

“Spoor bombs?” Imra gasped.

“Yup. She can create spoor bombs that cause vines to grow and destroy anything in their path. They have a crumbling agent. She can handle this course.” Lu tapped the control panel's holo keys and walls built up around the four cadets. While various hover discs began flying around the mini maze that had been created for them.

“This maze has four outer walls. Each layer is filled with traps that you must best and with each layer they become harder. Along with the flying discs above which will be shooting lasers at you. Good luck.” Lu tapped the holo control panel finishing the mazes preparation.

<Now, you do what you have to with Gil.> Lu thought to Imra who was supervising the whole exercise.

Imra reached out to Cadet Gil Swanson's mind and began pushing a thought into his mind. Her eyes barely a pink glow.

Inside the maze.

“Lets do this.” Cadet Swanson began to float up and instantly the discs began firing.

“Not today!” Ayla shoot white hot bolts of lighting deflecting them.

Ayrla's hands glowed as small balls of light circled her hands and all lasers were deflected from them.

“I've created a gravity bubble. Its bouncing them off until we can move.” Ayrla smiled and she held her power up. These oddly enough were easier than some of the other gravity tricks she had learned.

“Alright we need a plan. We need to get through this maze and through its first wall. If we go that way...” Ayla was cut off as Pollen ran out from the gravity bubble and threw her spoor bombs at the wall in front of them. It crumbling instantly.

“We go through there.” Pollen ran and the discs fired on her at rapid pace. Every other shot hitting her and slicing into her green body. With each shot she staggered but healed leaving only the smallest of scars. Her body made of the same vascular tissue of the stem which consists of the complex tissues xylem and phloem. But not once did she stop running.

Ayla fired off blast at the discs shattering everyone she hit trying to draw there fire only to have it doubled down by two more.

“Ayrla float them away. Take their gravity.” Cadet Swanson called out. As he turned invisible and flew over to Pollen to try and fly her through. He hoped he could dodge the lasers enough and be fast enough to get through.

“Uhnnnmm!” Ayrla dropped the bubble and pushed grabbing all of the discs she could and pushed all of them away.

Ayla blasting more and more of them. The two of them began to fly toward the hole in the wall. Gil and Pollen had made it through when boulders began to fall on them. Ayla blasting them apart their brown mass digitizing into blue holographic blocks. While Ayrla floated them away. Her body starting to shake the more she used her powers.

“And this is just the first round...” Ayrla thought to herself.

Ayla created a blanket of lighting over the two of them as one boulder was about to crash into them breaking into a million blue holographic blocks.

“Ayrla how are you holding up?” Ayla asked blasting more boulders and discs that had started to return.

“I'll be...OOKK. Grrr!” Ayrla gritted her teeth pushing the boulders back into the discs.

“SWAP.” Imra thought out to Gil and Ayla.

“Gil, swap our powers now!” Ayla called out.

Gil nodded and flew right back at them. He had to touch them to swap their powers and the urge that Imra planted in his head was so strong that he didn't care for his own safety. With a grasp of their hands a glow surrounded the two of them and instantly their powers were switched. Ayla held out her hand to blast a boulder and sent it flying into the sky.

“I'll need to get used to that again. Ayrla blast the discs while I fly us out of here.” Ayla changed their gravity and used her flight ring to push them faster then they would have gone normally to get through the hole. Ayrla blasted boulder and disc left and right her hands a blaze with hot white lighting. Gil on their heels.

Ayrla marveled at how it felt to feel so powerful and little to no pain. Once through the hole, Ayla grabbed a chunk of the wall and dropped it on the hole and on several discs.

“Well you sure know how to wield that power.” Gil watched in amazement.

“I've had a little experience with gravity powers.” Ayla shrugged before they moved on to continue.

“Thank you Ayla for having Gil swap our powers to get out of there. Shall we switch back?” Ayrla asked readying herself.

Imra monitored the whole thing and pushed at Gil's mind to see what she could do.

“Maybe we should keep it until the end of the exercise. It seems like it could help and Ayrla you seem to be doing well with the lighting casting.” Gil smiled warmly and both girls couldn't help but agree.

The moment was short lived as the floor opened up and little green gremlin bots with long tails and talons crawled out of the hole. 40 of them running at full speed towards them. Ayrla stood her ground and fired a blast of lighting catching all the ones that Ayla began tossing up. Ayla looked at the glowing white balls on her hands and couldn't help but feel weird. She had hated her gravity powers and it almost killed her by having them. She couldn't help but feel weary about having them back even if it was just for an exercise.

Gil and Pollen began fighting the gremlin bots hand to hand. Gil tossing them up and Ayrla frying them. While Pollen extended her fingers out wrapping them around their little bodies and squeezing them until they were crushed. Gil hovered as he dodged a blast of Ayrla's lighting which had begun to go a little wild.

“Watch out spark bug!” Pollen called jumping a few stray blast herself.

“Sorry! Still working on it.” Ayrla fired a random blast again.

Discs fired again while the gremlins subdued Gil wrapping their tails around his body. Pollen rushed in and planted a spoor bombs on their heads and instantly they crumbled.

“Thanks.” Gil took Pollen's hand and stood up. Its leathery texture leaving a bit of aloe on his hands.

“Rub it in. will sooth all.” Pollen ran off and continued planting spoor bombs on the gremlins.

Ayla pulled up a piece of the wall and dropped it on the hole the gremlins came from.

“Fly on through everyone!” Ayla grabbed all of them and lifted their gravity allowing them to fly. Using her flight ring to fly forward she grabbed them in her wake and pulled a trick she wanted to try.

“Third Level!” Ayrla squealed.

This time giant hammers began to swing throughout the maze. Each with red spikes that when touched could freeze them in their tracks before carrying them away. Ayla stretched out her new found power and pushed at the hammers. She felt the forces of gravity obey her call but she could feel them pushing back wanting to go back to their natural order and with so many heavy hammers it was hard to keep them back.

“Run!” Ayla yelled each of them doing their part blasting discs and gremlins that started coming out of the wood work again. Holes in the walls opening up.

Pollen threw spoor bomb after spoor bomb crumbling the hammers to help Ayla. Gil carried Ayrla as she cast bolt after bolt. Smashing the gremlins and discs in their wake. Giant fans came down and spun at high speeds pushing all of them around and off balance. Ayla let go of the hammers and did her best to hold the four of them together. Pollen saw roots in the ground and instantly her mind was one with them and they struggled to pull themselves free. Once they did they flung themselves up at the fans clogging them and shutting them down.

“Better.” Pollen called out before continuing to run.

Ayrla and Gil had reached the final wall and tried blasting through but nothing worked. Pollen tried a spoor bomb and that only did minimal damage. Running from the discs and gremlins they all flew down the hall way and out of the exit. The hallway filled with flying darts whizzing by all of them. Each deflecting them as best they could. Finally free of the maze Ayla, Gil, and Ayrla collapsed to the ground. Pollen stood looking at all of them.

“Weak. I should be Alpha. Hmmp!” Pollen walked away and into the gym to re-hydrate her tufts of leaves bouncing as she walked.

“Good job everyone.” Imra called as she floated down from the sky watch platform. Imra pushed at Gil to not be able to switch their powers back.

“Alright Gil. Time to switch a roo.” Ayla breathed heavy as she stood next to him.

“Uhmm. Sure.” Gil hesitated but he put his hands on their shoulders and a glow took place.

“That should do it. But I'm pretty spent.” Gil rubbed his neck.

Ayla powered up first. Looking to feel the electrical surge flow through her hands. But nothing happened and then a white light and small balls of white light circled her hands.

“Gil. Try again. It didn't work.”

Ayrla fired a blast of lighting at the ground it shocking her and sending her back a bit.

“Ahhh.” Ayrla's slight scream was more of shock and joy. She enjoyed not being in pain while using a power. Even though she was frail and it would take some getting used to. She might be able to wield it effectively.

“I'll try. But I just might need to recharge. Using all of my powers at once seems to have drained me a bit.” Gil protested but placed his hands on them again. Again the glow took place and again the same results took place.

“AHHHHH” Ayla screamed as she stamped her feet.

“Ayla calm down. Let Gil rest and in an a couple hours we'll have him try again.” Imra interjected calmly.

“Fine.” Ayla centered herself.

“I'm sorry Ayla. I'll try again soon. I'm going to go lie down.” Gil walked off rubbing his neck. He couldn't explain how tired he felt. But he figured a nap might help.

Ayrla stood unsure what to do.

“I'm sorry. I'm just really connected to my powers and even though I understand these ones... they just are not something I like.” Ayla stretched out her hand to shake Ayrla's. Ayrla smiled and returned the handshake before taking her leave to get some food at the gym's cafe.

“Imra, is this what I think it is?” Ayla stood with her back to Imra.

“I think so. That wave at the graduation a few days ago must have started a wave of re-bondings. But at least you didn't have to travel to the 21st century and to the Source and back to get them. Besides you'll get them back. It's part of the process.”

“Yeah, But last time I almost died Imra...” Ayla turned around with small tears forming in her eyes.

“I know Ayla. But we saved you last time and we will if we have to again. But just have a little faith.” Imra hated lying and manipulating her future sister in law like this. She even felt this talk was halfhearted. But Ayla turned and hugged Imra.

Ayla had learned to rely on Imra when Garth was gone and even though they had their issues she really was like her sister. Imra hugged her back hoping it was enough.

United Planets Embassy: Metrixx-Kanndrnn Complex. Mission Monitor Room

Captain Allon stood in the mission room. A center command post with three chairs and consoles for each. Each one meant for the commanding officers. The hum of the holo screens and their blue light cast about the mostly white room. The walls lined with holo screens and consoles. White hover chairs at each station and each one manned by trusted hand picked and vetted Science Police Staff and Cadets alike.

“This is real. Its really real.” Captain Allon thought to himself looking around amazed at the world that was building before him.

The mission room had missions across the planet's surface to help with the reconstruction. Anndranna hadn't been in working operation in 600 years and even though it could transforme itself it still needed some help. Drones, Subs, Tanks, Battle Bots, and traps that all needed decommissioning to make the world safe for its new residence. Other screens had the missions of the Meta-Human Squad. Sergeant Erin strode up to her seat with her morning Craggiate triple black coffee.

“Morning Shvaughn. What have we got for missions today?” Captain Allon sat in his seat and called up his holo console.

“The Squad is all over. Testing out facilities, reconstruction, and a few low key missions. Black Mace's trail has picked up a little bit. But we're still searching. Someone wanted this planet and hired him. But who?” Sergeant Erin looked at Black Mace's rap sheet trying to find hits of where he might hit next.

“It's possible he was working for the “Dark Man/Omniphagos”. Captain Allon pointed out.

“True. But until we have that confirmed we can't be sure. Besides we haven't found any information of the Dark Man. We can't even trace how he paid Tharok.”

“I might be able to help with that.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn patched into the mission room from his mausoleum. He preferred to stay there and work claiming it was more soothing to be around the technology of his people.

“The account was set up by my successor General Fixate-Jannndr. He wanted his spies throughout the United Planets to be cared for. All of the Generals were forced into retirement and near exile on Bellatrix.”

“Metrixx-Kanndrnn you said spies? There was more than the Dark Man?” Captain Allon's brown eyes widened. The Omniphagos was tough enough. He couldn't imagine what else they put out there.

“Yes, the Anndrannian high council sent out five experiments to infiltrate and take down the United Planets. The Omniphagos was to be the last one found as it was the last ditch effort at a full assault attack. The other four... are a bit harder. Over 600 years operatives numbering three and one have ditched both their trackers and from what I can gather their programming sometime around 230 and 100 years ago respectively. While operative two...died. Its life signs went offline about...433 years ago.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn didn't make any of these weapons but they were of his people and he mourned their sacrifice all the same.

“How do you know Operative # two died and just didn't lose it's trackers?”

“The trackers are still functional in its grave. I traced it to the a planetoid called Shanghalla?” Metrixx-Kanndrnn searched instantly for it. Casting an image up on his screen.

“The planetoid that serves as a burial place for the galaxy's greatest heroes?” Captain Allon was slightly confused. He thought these weapons we out to destroy the United Planets. But one of their operatives was a hero to them.

“Yes. 2580 was a rocky year and she seems to have led a rebellion on the moon of Giltar – one of the seven satellite moons to Beltair IV and the farthest away from it. There was a slave trade there and it was shut down because of her actions.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn felt proud of the operative.

“What was her name?” Sergeant Erin was intrigued.

“They buried her as Welnnn the Whisper.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn's respect shown through with a slight quiver in his voice.

“The Whisper? She was your operative? I studied her for a history class on slave trades when I was at university.” Sergeant Erin smiled as she recalled the class.

“That's pretty amazing. So we have one dead, one contained, and two unaccounted for. Where's the last one?” Captain Allon asked going over the historical feeds, and personal files Metrixx-Kanndrnn sent to him.

“This operative is still active and it seems wanted by your squad.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn pulled up a picture of Black Mace.

“So he wasn't working for the Dark Man. He was trying to get the information to complete his mission.” Sergeant Erin's eyes narrowed on his image. Black Man didn't look older than his mid 30's.

“Yes, he stole the information to keep Anndranna's secret while also trying to find his way home. What does this mean for him? His file as a criminal is extensive...But he's done a lot over the 600 years and not all of it bad.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn sent all references he could find to the different alias' The Black Mace had used over the years.

“Once he's captured we have to turn him over and place him in prison. We don't have a choice. His rap sheet within the United Planets alone is longer than I have time to read.” Sergeant Erin pointed out. She understood that Metrixx-Kanndrnn would want all of the operatives returned and she even thought he might hope to find kinship with them. But the Black Mace at least wasn't part of that.

“We'll deal with Black Mace. We thought of building a prison complex here on Anndranna. If its completed in time and we've caught him maybe he can be imprisoned there.” Captain Allon did his best to come up with a compromise that followed inline with the law.

“Sounds like an ideal plan. I'll begin designs and collecting the latest information in prison security.” Metrixx-Kanndrnn replied and instantly his holographic was gone.

“Well I guess we can add another construction and detail duty for the cadets.” Sergeant Erin smirked at Captain Allon.

Cadet Ce-Ce Beeek of Steeple - capable of producing/creating sounds on various sound wave lengths that allow her to affect peoples nervous systems, creating vertigo of sorts. she also has an ability called healing harmonics. it allows her to heal others with soothing harmonic tones. the monks were the one's who perfected this technique and taught her how to alter her powers to replicate it. she uses this ability sparingly and not in the heat of battle.

Inside the giant holo theater wing of the recreation center sat a cafe with seven floating tables and each with large semi circle push floating red couches. Once such table was filled with the remaining Alpha Cadets not chosen on Graduation Day.

“Thisss isss utter Sssprock!” Cadet Mavien yelled out a bit of fire escaping his mouth. The privacy bubble they enacted shielding their conversation from the many officers and staff taking in a break.

“I'm not happy about it either Staq but what can we do. We each received a report as to why we weren't chosen.” Cadet Nor pointed out sitting stoic as usual.

“My rreport wass wrong. I have control of my fire breath.” Cadet Mavien huffed again another puff of flame leaving him.

“I have to agree with mine. I can't even be here without this on. Thankfully missions I get those neat transuits.” Cadet Sepht eyes lit up at that thought and then looked down through her visor at the white body suit with its black lines running along the seems outlining the slight built in armor. Its oval shaped helmet feeling a bit clunky.

“I'm with Staq. This is disharmonious with the vibrations of the universal order. My vertigo blast are great and I've improved loads on my aim.” Cadet Beeek patted Staq on the back as she took a sip of her Misty Puff float a drink inspired by her home world.

“At least you've got a better station than the rest of us.” Cadet Lour slumped on to the table sending ripples through her fluid body.

“Oh yes. What I've always wanted to do. Play nurse. I know the healing harmonics are powerful and useful but I don't want to be stuck on the sidelines.” Cadet Beeek sulked and stirred her float.

“Maybe we don't have to. What if we took on a misssion? I mean as Alpha'sss we are ssstill aloud to do that right?” Cadet Mavien looked around at all of them hoping to see some sense of hope on their faces.

“Unless we have one of the officers were not allowed to now that the Meta-Human Squad has been chosen.” Cadet Sepht added.

“This sprocking stinks!” Cadet Beeek slumped over.

“We'll figure ssssomething out.” Cadet Mavien was determined to make a difference.

“Captain, we've got a distress call from a planet named Medusa. They are unaffiliated but have aided the United Planets in the past especially since they are along a trade root.” A Science Police Officer called out tapping the holo keys of the console bringing up the request for help.

“Mayday! Mayday! We need help. We are being invaded by an unknown force! Send help!” instantly the transmission cut out.

“No video feed?” Sergeant Erin asked trying to pull it back up and separate out the sounds in the background.

“No Sergeant. This was all that came through.”

“We should send a team. They could be under attack by Mordru's forces. They are unaffiliated. He can attack at will.” Captain Allon began to put together a squad.

“Wait...we have a officer from there.” Captain Allon highlighting and throwing up Officer Sethno profile. Sethno meet a team at the runway. You're leaving on a mission to your home.”

Officer Sethno was in her quarters when the call came through. Replaying the message on her omnicom while she made her way to the runway.

“What have you gotten yourself into now sister.” Sethno ran her slender hands across her bald scaly scalp and down to her neck rubbing it gently.

Sethno reached the runway quickly and once there she saw the squad she was taking with her and at that moment she wished Tellus hadn't been stationed on Earth. She barely talked to any of these sentient s while they were cadets and now she had to take them to her home and reveal who she really was.

“Officers welcome to your first official mission as Science Police Officers. We're off to the Planet Medusa to answer a distress call and since this is the home of one of your fellow officers. Treat this world like we would during any investigation mission. But better.” Captain Allon stood before them on the runway while the spaceport support staff finished supplying the cruiser.

Officer Sethno walked up towards Captain Allon and requested they enter the cruiser before briefing everyone. Quickly they made their way in and to their seats and Sethno stood before them. She breathed a deep breath. She never wanted to tell this story but she knew there was going to be no way around it if they went to her home world under invitation.

“Here's the deal. My name is Sethno as you know and you know that I have a stone gaze. But what I'm not sure any of you are aware of is the legend behind my powers.” Sethno gazed out for a moment and thought of turning them to stone and taking a different cruiser to her home world. But she knew it wouldn't stop them from coming.

Vi raised her hand to speak as Sethno pulled up holo visuals behind her of the ancient Greek Gorgon's of myth. The three of them staring back at her made Sethno flinch for a moment.

“Yes, Vi.” Captain Allon acknowledged.

“The Gorgon's from ancient Greek mythology were three monstrous sisters who had snakes for hair. Medusa, our missions namesake was the only mortal and killed by Perseus.”

“We were not monsters! We only guarded what was ours. Those who stepped into our realm paid a price.” Sethno lashed out.

All of the officers looked at her puzzled. Sethno took a deep breath.

“My real name is Stheno. I am the daughter of Echidna and Typhon, I have lived for over a millennia. I'm no mere thief or officer. I've been enchanted by the gods with my gifts.”

“But shouldn't you all be dead? Or where ever the Greek Gods went off to.” Chey-Nu scoffed.

“The Gods moved on and live on their plane. The rest of us got to choose what we wanted to do. Some continued to involve themselves with the world of man become heroes, villains, or simply folk.”

“How did you get your powers of stone casting? I've read the legends and only Medusa had that power.” Andy Nolan spoke up for the first time. Being from the late 20th century he spent a lot of time reading about these “monsters” in his quest to not feel so alone in the world.

“After Medusa's head was cut off and imprisoned in Athena's shield the Aegis. I stole it from her and tried to ressurect my sister but it didn't work and so I fashioned the sheild into a mask and channeld its power into myself.” Sethno addmitted.

Officer Gsxx raised his hand shyly.

“Miss Sethno, how come you look so different?”

“Gorgon's change and mature and evelove just like any other living being. Medusa was the first to experience the shift to a more...appealing look.” Sethno streched her neck a little bit.

“So what's on your world that someone would want?” Captain Allon brought the conversation back to the mission.

“There's a few artifcats that I can think of including Medua's Mask. But I don't think it is Mordru. My world has more magical barries than anyone can name. Its the reason we haven't expanded out. No tourist. No Science Police on world and the barest of tecnology to keep up apparences and keep invaders away.

“If it's not Mordru than who could it be?” Officer Rikane asked.

“Almost anyone else and that's what worries me.” Sethno felt vaulnerable for the first time in a very long time. But her companions for this jouney didn't inspire her with any sense of security.

On Medusa

“Run Shikari!” Timber Wolf called back behind him. The Leauge of Assassins had come to Medusa in search of a Mother Box and upon arrival the thought they had found it. Until they were ambused by stone statues that came to life around them. Titania grew taller than the trees and began swating them while Gangbuster multipled himself and began fighting his way through. Grimbor and his hounds ran to hide and not get captured.

Lalo Muldron aka Micro Lad shrank to microscopic size and resized himself punching out each one that he came across before shinking down on to Shikari's shoulder and flying off with her. Magpie acitavted his gadget belt allowing himself to “ghost” through their punches. Right as he tried to activaite it to teleport away he looked behind him and was instantly turned to stone.

Titania continued to swat the stone sentient s coming to life. But looking down to try and grab a few to toss turned out to be her undoing as she was instantly turned to stone. Gangbuster punched over and over. Recominbing to dogde each hit and sword thrust of his advasaies.

“How many more can there be!” Gangbuster thought to himself it being the last thought for as he turned he was caught in a gaze of lime light and was cast in stone.

“That was fortuitous. I didn't even need to make up that stupid invasion story.” The red snake haired woman laughed to herself as she turned and made her way back to the temple.

“Soon. She will be here. Soon.” a grin grew across her face revealing sharp teeth behind her gorgeously thin red lips.

“Have they stopped coming yet?” Grimbor yelled behind him not willing to turn his head for a second.

“I don't see anyone behind us.” Micro Lad called out holding on to Shikari's teal hair.

“I sense no one following our path. There is a cave a head. We will hide there.” Shikari
called out flying ahead of the group leading them.

Once they reached the cave Grimbor checked the readings of the other Leaugers and found the nannites were recording stone.

“I don't know what is happening on this world but I'm not leaving without that Mother Box.” Grimbor stared out the cave opening looking for signs of more stone creatures coming to life. He wasn't going to let this pay day getaway from him.

The winds began to swirl on Medusa and slowly a storm was brewing above the Temple as the angleic snake haired woman danced in the winds between the stone stautes surrounding the Temple.

“AHHHH! She's coming! She's coming back!” Euryale sang dancing letting her snakes down as they gleefully hissed along to her song.

Euryale danced around the stone statues all of them moved there from before they found this planet. Each one an intruder to their old home. Some heroes tasked with defeating them, others looking for gain from their treasures. When they left their Earthly home they took all of their conquest with them. Giving them a sense of home on an otherwise unknown world. These stautes unlike those coming to life in the forest were forever cast in stone.

En route to Medusa:

“When we get to Medusa there are two possible things to look out for. One is the possiblity that the population will either be turned to stone or waking from their stone state.”

“So they are like Zwenthians?” Twine interjected.

“No. My sister and I found this world in 2025 and we lived in the forest and mountains for over 2 centuries before our stone treasures were found. At first we kept our distance never letting them see us but once they did... to them we were Gods. We weren't “monsters” they tell their children about to scare them; which is the second possibility that you should expect. That I will be treated like a God and they are fiercly protective. When these sentient s found us they were a simply people and had already created a religion around us. We had simply indulged it and that's when we introduced “The Stone Castings”, a ritual where either my sister or myself would cast our devotees in stone; she with the Mask and me with my new power. But it would only be short lived, only a few hours depending on the occasion. That's how I really learned to control my gift after I took it from the mask.” Sethno's voice was soothing and regal.

“So you two share the power?” Umbra asked.

“No, she needs the mask to cast and I don't. She also usually uses some other power sources to make her castings last longer. Yes, Captain those sources are things these intruders could be after.” Sethno knew what Captain Allon would ask the moment she saw him begin to raise his hand to interupt.

“Once I had learned as much control as I could I longed to expolre the stars. I had come to enjoy exploring more than I thought I would have initailly while we looked for our new home and by 2635 I was ready to leave and so I did and I let my sister be the sole God of Medusa. Since my departure I've routinely come back for festivals. But that's it. There you have it. My story.” Sethno finished telling her fellow officers her long history. She felt both relieved and anxsious at the same time.

“Thank you Sethno. Now we still don't know what were up against. But we've got a better layout of the land and history of a world thats rather an unknown. We'll be there in a few short jumps. Rest up people.” Captain Allon closed all the holo's as he stood infront of the his squad before moving to the Captain's chair. Each of the squad members turning to their consoles redying themselves for what lies head. All of them unsure how to process the idea that there teamamate was basically a living God.

The team made planet side quickly after their last jump through the slipstream. Once clearing its gate they sped off to Medusa. The winds were swirling the trees and grass to the point that their landing did little to add to its already strong winds. The newely minted officers quickly filed out of the cruiser.

“Where's Berta when you need her?” Officer Nolan thought to himself as the wind almost blew him over as he stepped out.

“Is it always this windy?” Captain Allon sheilded his eyes as he looked out at the forest the wild wind making it look almost alive.

“No. The planet is usually very calm. This...” Sethno's tougn flipped out sensing the her world.

“This is magic. My sister must be doing something. The temple is at the center of the forest. There's a clearing where all of the “Forever Statues” are.” Sethno began walking briskly not waiting for anyone to keep up.

“You can sense magic?” Officer Vi asked as she shrunk down to 3 feet tall and activating her flight ring to catch up to Sethno.

“Yes most children of the gods can to varying degrees. My exposure to this world imparticular allows me to sense things that I nessicarily can't away from here.” Sethno responded simply. She knew Vi was suspicions of her and had been since their mission to Boit and fight with the Manhunter and she understood why. Sethno was nothing but mystery and Vi didn't seem to like mysteries very much.

“Uggg! Isn't there a clear path?” Officer Twine slashed at the branches, bushes, and grass around her with her whip.

“Aren't we a princess.” Umbra called out as she waded through the grass.

“Keep Quiet shadowling.” Twine's whip glowed as she thought about giving Umbra a strike.

“No...No...” Chey-Nu wagged his fingers at Twine before glowing bright white light of a White Dwarf.

“Grrrrr.” Twine growled while the light died from her whip.

Captain Allon was glad he didn't have to interive. He hated having someone like Twine on the team. But he understood that no one in the Admistation or his higher ups in the Science Police trusted Meta-humans. After 20 years of the nannnites reenforcing the idea that people with powers needed to be controlled, people feared those with powers more than reveried them. These officers had started to change that beyond the worlds who had a completely all meta-human population.

“This place is spooky.” Officer Gsxx's purple leaves blew about in the wind. He hoped one wouldn't get torn off in the wind as it takes so long to grow back. The foliage he had now took 5 solar cycles before it got to the right length.

“It's not that bad Lxgg. Just windy so do your best to keep your eyes peeled.” Officer Rikane smiled brightly at Officer Gsxx his purple skin as light as it can. Officer Rikane floated along intangblely.

Officer Cullen's hands glowed amber, gold, and purple swriling balls in the palm of her hands appeared before she sent them out into the forest hoping they would help guide the way. A few dirfted in the winds before she called them back.

While Officer Nah used his Pentra-Vision to search through the trees for any surprises. Officer Nephus walked next to him doing his best to weed through the grass. His tentacals getting caught up in the grass.

“Captain, May I go for an arial view? I can create a water slide for me to glide on, My tentacals are getting me nowhere.” Officer Nephus strugdled past a bunch of bushes.

“That's a good idea. Take Offiers Nah and Jazmin... I mean Cullen with you.” Captain Allon tried his best to call Jazmin by her last name like the other Officers now that her brother was no longer apart of the academy.

Jazmin felt werid hearing her last name instead of her first name and it just brought the memory of James and her over the cliff after Graduation. It made her want to cry but she didn't have that luxury right now. Quickly her and Officer Nah floated up following Officer Nephus as a spout of water pushed him up high above the already tall trees.

“Uhhhh Captain... we've got something up here...Sethno is there a giant stone statue in your collection?” Officer Nan called over the telepathic earplugs.

“No...”Sethno's eyes widedened unsure who that could be and took off into the forest.

“Vi, Nolan, Umbra follow. The rest of will keep working our way there. The three of you up there fly towards the giant Statue. Sethno has taken off towards it already.” Captain Allon instructed. All the officers took off after Sethno.

The green sun shown down on Medusa casting an eirry glow adding to the winds life like look. Captain Allon pushed branch after branch out of his way when he grabbed for a branch it grabbed him back.

“AHHH” Captain Allon screamed trying to reach his blaster and before he could reach it he was turned to stone.

Gsxx hid in the bushes waiting for his moment to strike but that moment didn't come and his purpleish leaves blened in with rest of the vegatiation. Rikane when to strike but phased at the last moment and dived through a tree.

“What the?” Chey-Nu fired off a blinding light from his body but its brightness did nothing to stop each one of the officers from turning to stone.

“Not getting me!” Chey-Nu charged at the figure Captain Allon had grabbed. His body flashing and changing into sunlight.

“AHHHH” the figure called out dodging his charge.

Chey-Nu looked back for a split second while flying and instantly flew into a tree. Chey-Nu landed upside down and before he could turn himself upright he was turned to stone.

“Grab them and bring them to the Temple.” Euryale lowedered her hood and grinned at her new conquests.

“Hmmmm they taste oh so good.” Euryale flicked her toung out at Chey-Nu's upside down stone body and smiled with a devlish grin.

“So much power in these ones. I can't wait to have it...hmmm” Euryale's eye was caught by Twine's stone body moving by her in the hands of her followers.

“What is this... what a dark beauty.” Euryale's yellow eyes widedend and then shifted sideways.

“Take This one to the top of the steps. I've got other pray to find.” Euryale quickly ran into the forest her movements agile and her cloak flowing behind her leaving her followers to move her captives.

Euryale moved quickly and silently. She saw her sister running and knew she had another 40 clicks before she would reach the clearing and those flying beings near her would reach it sooner. But she was determined to get them before they reached it. Euryale climbed up high into the trees and jumped from branch to branch until she found herself over her sister and the flying beings. One of them kpet looking around...the one with a helmet.

“Yes...look up once more. Hssssss” Euryale quickly held the Medusa Mask to her face and let the light from the sun hit it catching his eye and with a thud he was down.

“Ferro?” Vi called instictivly looking back and not seeing him.

Euryale moved down a few branches landing right next to Umbra startling her. Euryale held the mask and with a flash of its gaze Umbra was petrifed and crashed into the bushes below.

“Umbra?” Vi turned back around and now found herself alone. Sethno had continued to run on.

Vi looked around unsure what to make of what was going on. Keeping herself small she figured she could avoid whatever trap had taken Ferro and Umbra.

“Ok... I've got this...stay small and you can do this. Make them think your weak.” Vi thought to herself pretending to hug herself. She didn't want to alert the Captain and the others and lose who ever was after her in this forest.

Euryale watched Vi float there motionless looking around scared. Euryale flickered out her tougn and didn't taste fear from the small doll. Euryale lifted the golden mask to her face and waited paitently for the doll to look at her.

“Now!” Vi yelled and the world around them lit up in amber balls of light and a thrashing of branches came crashing down on Euryale taking her by surprise as Officer Nah grabbed Euryale by the waste flying striaght towards the ground.

Euryale struggled to get free from Officer Nah's strong grip but with the drop of her hood her head of snakes began attacking. Officer Nah switched to invulnerability over strength but that didn't stop the snakes from bitting and snapping at him obstructing his view and cutting him with their fangs causing the blood to run across his face is small streams.

“Ahhhhh” Officer Nah screamed as one of the snakes grapsed his nose. Losening his grip Euryale wiggled enough to flip around on to his back riding him to the ground as she made eye contact with him. The gloden mask flashing in streams of green light from the sun let in through the hole created by Officer Nah's ambush. A wave rippled down Officer Nah's body changing him to stone .
Officer Nah dropped into the ground skidding along several feet making a crator in the ground. Officers Vi and Nepheus attacked next trying to catch her off gaurd. Nephus cast a water wall around Euryale. While Officer Cullen floated down watching their backs for any intruders.

“That should hold her.” Nephus's trident gleaming in the light as he kept himself on a bubble of water created from the water slide he had been using to travel the forest.

“Hahaha!” Euryale just laughed the winds carrying it off. She stood and watched as her forces came to life and sprang from the bushes.

Officer Vi dodged arrows that flew through the air driving her into the waiting grasph of a pair of stone hands covered in moss and browned to look like tree bark. Vi had thought she found a hole in a tree. But without warning it closed around her. Nephus blocked all the arrows that came his way using water bubbles to grab them and toss them back. Using walls of water erupting to deflect any strays. While Officer Cullen cuaght as many as she could and decyed them.

“Maybe if I cast her in a quantum bubble they'll stop.” Officer Cullen thought to herself and as she thought it Officer Nephus' water wall broke down his contrentation broken by the barrage of arrows and now rocks flying at him.

Officer Cullen's amber eyes glowed her golden energy warping up Euryale But before she could finish casting it both her and Officer Nephus were cast in stone as they looked at her for only a moment.

“Hahaha! Bring them!” Euryale marched out to her followers while they steped from the forest shrubbery and shadows carring the other captured Officers.

Sethno entered the clearing to the Temple of the Sperpant and the Stone. It had been a while since she had been back and danced amoung “The Forever Stautes.”

“Euryale where are you?” Sethno called out.

“Euryale!” Sethno turned in a circle as she ascended to the moss and vine covered stone steps.

The russling of the leaves startled Sethno as she spun she cast her stone vision at the sound behind her and instantly one of the followers carrying Officer Umbra fell over.

“What's happened here?” Sethno looked and saw all the officer's turned to stone as Euryale and their followers flowed out of the forest and into the clearing.

“Oh nothing sister. We're just having a little reunion party.”

“Reunion?”

“Yes, our sister is returning to us.” Euryale eyes were wild and her grin wide. The snakes on her head hissing and waving about gracefully in sync.

“Medusa is dead. I tried to return her to us and it didn't work.”

“That's because you never had a host for her!” Euryale began to sway and sing her respone as her follwers brought forward Officer's Twine and Umbra.

“No!”

“Yes! Hahaha! Seize your fellow God!” Euryale called as the followers charged Sethno who began casting all she could into stone as she ran.

Sethno knew she couldn't take on all of them and ran back into the forrest on the opposite side of the Temple. The followers pursuing her.

“This isn't good.” Officer Vi looked through the hands she was cluctched into while they walked to the Temple the followers carring the officers to the top level and when the doors opened she saw in. The glow of the Mother Box catching her eye.

In the forest just beyond the clearing the remaining members of the Leauge of Assains watched as Euryale and her followers began making preparations for the cermoney to welcome back a fallen God of the Serpant and the Stone.

“There's the Mother Box. But we need to distract them.” Micro Lad said sitting on Grimbor's shoulder.

“No! We need to find that other snake like woman. She may have a way to defeat that other one.” Grimbor squinted as he triggered his monacole seachering the landscape.

Grimbors screach turned up that the search party was almost 100 clicks away.

“That Green snake woman got a running start and she seems rather fast...I'd say she's at least 20 clicks ahead. Shikair find that woman and bring her to me.” Grimbor commanded.

Shikair reached out into the ether of the universe searching for the Green snake woman. Her crown jewle lighting up and without hesitation Shikair took off into the forest. Timber Wolf didn't waste any time and took off after her.

“He sure is a protective one isn't he?” Mico Lad quipped into Grimbor's ear still 6 inches tall on Grimbor's shoulder.

“He is... but its something I rather value in my hound. Now if you don't mind can you please regrow your self to a proper size or get in my pocket at least. I feel you breathing on me.” Grimbor shiver with disgust.

Micro Lad quickly climed down to the pocket on Grimbor's chest gaget belt.

“What's in this pocket?” Micro Lad climbed into the pocket searching around finding small silver orbs.

“Oh those are a mitxure of my light cages I just developed and the capture foams. You know the expanding foam that covers your entire body once it's been triggered.” Grimbor smiled devilsihly as he saw Loa's scard look on his face while stepping in.

“I think I'll skrink down just a bit more...” Micr Lad shrak to almost 1 centimeter tall.

“Good boy.”

Shikair flew fast through the trees and Timber Wolf right behind her bouncing himself off the trees using his advanced agility to keep up and get out ahead of her. Shikair flew up and over the trees passing the stone form of Titania's out strechted hand and then starting down into the forest. Timber Wolf reached the spot Shikair dived down into just above Euryale and her followers. Shikair speed up missing any interaction with Euryale's forces seeing the Green snaked woman running and firing blasters back. Shikair avoided each blast and quickly scooped her up.

“Let me go!”

“I'm here to save you. We wish to destroy that red snake. You may be of help to us. But we also need your help getting something.” Shikair explained plainly flying back to Grimbor.

“So you're the theives? What makes you think I'll help you? You came to my home and enraged my sister.”

“Lady she was like that before we got here.” Timber Wolf added flying by their side.

Sethno's eyes widened a bit looking at Timber Wolf's wild white eyes and main of brown hair and its single white streak a mask covering his face from the nose down.

“He looks a lot like Twine...” Sethno noted to herself.

“What do you mean?” Sethno asked.

“Our master will explain all.” Shikair ended the conversation flying on with Timber Wolf in tow.

They quickly made their way back. Grimbor sat paitently waiting and studying the Temple and the layout of the alter to see if their was a way in to retrive the Mother Box.

“Ahhh welcome back.”

“Start talking.” Sethno demanded Shikari landing and letting her go. Timber Wolf taking a perch on a branch above them to see farther.

“I'm Grimbor and I'm a Bounty Hunter of sorts. I collect objects for clients and a client of mine is looking for a Mother Box. We tracked one here. Willing to offer 100,000 credits for it. But when we got here they attacked and she wanted to take my assoacotite here hostage for some ritual. But we escaped.” Grimbor pointed at Shikari.

“Why are you here with a team of...villains.” Sethno saw Micro Lad creep out of his pocket and recognized Titania's stone staute from the most wanted list.

“I like protection and clearly I needed it. Although it proved not as usefule.” Grimbor knew who Sethno was now that he got a good look. She was a renowed theif in the world. But last he heard she was in prison.

“Sethno, I've admired your work.” Grimbor smiled now.

“Glad you know who I am Grimbor and now you'll show some respect. You're not getting that Mother Box. I know what it is and what it does and no one is using it. But if you and your team want out and to not be arressted, as you can see I'm a Science Police Officer of the Meta-Human Squad.” Sethno flashed her holographic badge.

“Fine... I conceed. So what do we do?” Grimbor raised his hands.

“First we need to free my friend over there. She's inside the hands of that stone creature.” Sethno pointed over to a tall statue of one of the Followers whose hands are large and clasped together tightly. His robbes hanging over his face covering the tusks that come down from his mouth.

“Micro Lad head over there and see what you can do.” Grimbor instructed.

Micro Lad shrunk down further and flew on over using the flight belt Grimbor gave him. However it only worked when he was at microscopic size. Whizzing through the atoms of this world Micro Lad saw sparkling particals around and near the stone statues.

“Huh... I guess magic affects down to the atomic level...must be some science to it.” Lao thought to himself.” The flight belt made this trip so much easier. Loa knew how to glide along the atoms but at this size those distances become far too long.

“Alright there's the stone giant I think I need.” Micro Lad grew to three inches tall and landed on a stone statue's shoulder looking around to see if its safe.

“No ones around. Good.” Micro Lad grew to his normal hieght jumped down running across the feild the the statue holding Sethno's friend.

“Hello in there? Hey I'm here to get you out. Sethno sent me.” Micro Lad whispered into the the cupped hands.

“Is it safe to come out?” the voice whispered.

“Yeah. Just give me a second.” Micro Lad looked around for something to smash the stone statues hands when out of no where the hands burst open and standing before him was a tall 12 foot tall woman.

“Wow. She didn't say you could do that.” Micro Lad's eyes widened as Vi shrank down to 6 ft tall.

“I just needed a window.” Vi dusted her self off when she looked at who had come to save her.

“Loa!” Vi said instictively. The last time she had seen Lao Muldron he was being taken away after killing Ion in a bid for Legion membership in her home reality.”

“Saul! Its been a long time.” Lao's smiled faded a bit when he realized who she was.
Vi wasn't as up to speed on the life she lived here beyond being an Imskian Plantary Games Champion.

“Yes it has been.” Thankfully she didn't need to know the specifics to show her contepmt.

“Let's get back to my boss before all macro breaks loose.” Micro Lad began running back before Vi could respond. She followed quickly.

“Good of you to join us. Took you long enough.” Grimbor called.

Vi stopped in her tracks as she looked at the tree branch above and the teal haired armored woman standing next to Micro Lad's boss. Vi noticed Shikair and Brin still had their Flight rings on. Instantly she activated the cloaking sheild on hers.

“This is who took them.” Vi thought to herself. Doing her best not to just grow and shove this man and Loa against a tree.

Timber Wolf sat purched in the tree and looked at the new comer.

“Vi....” Timber Wolf thought to himself vaughly fighting through the haze of Grimbor's mind/nannite control.

“We had to make sure the coast was clear. Now what's going on here?” Vi asked flashing her badge before seeing Sethno.

“Vi, its a bit two fold. These “Bounty Hunters” came for a Mother Box that we have here. But it seems my sister has gone crazy and wishes to bring back my deceased sister Medusa.”

“”But you said you tried that and it didn't work.” Vi remembered from Sethno's berifing.

“The ritual calls for a host. I thought a host could be a a stone staute made to look like Medusa. But I guess the ritual calls for a live host. Something else else my sister has figured out after all this time and she plans to use either Twine or Umbra as a host.” Sethno explained unsure what to do.

“Umbraaa” Timber Wolf rasphed out.

“Yes...good dog. Glad to see your following along.” Grimbor raised an eye brow. That was the most Timber Wolf's said without a promt in weeks that wasn't in relation to Shikari.

“We need to free everyone. Can you do that Sethno? Can you reverse the Mask's stone castings?” Vi asked.

“GRRRRRR” Timber Wolf started his feral senses brining him out of his memory haze.

“Yes. She can but there's no need. Your friends are all unfrozen and tied up.” Euryale's voice called out. In their fluster to learn what was going on they hadn't noticed Euryale and her followers had returned and was spying on them.

“Take them.” Euryale turned on her heel as they were all leadout into the clearing and up to the top of the stone steps.

“Sister, We can have Medusa back now. You just mistranslated the spell. You know how translation was never your strong suit.” Euryale gloated over Sethno.

“So it seems. But why choose from my teammates? Why not choose one of our many followers who would give their life willingly?” Sethno looked around to see if there were any statues nearby that she could reanimate that would be on herside. Euryale had created many enimeies in her long life and many of them were captured here. Euryale using the mask to get her way.

“What's the fun in a willing host?” You've gone soft Stheno.” Euryale laughed as she walked around the two wooden slabs next to the alter holding the Mother Box.

“Tie them up. Expect of course your God. She can be free. We are sisters after all.” Euryale smiled wickedly at Sethno.

The followers quickly tied each of them up in thick lengthly vines.

“Oh before you try and struggle you're vines are enchanted to resist and get tougher and constrict you more!” Euryale flashed all of them a look knowing one of them might try something.

“What is going on here? I'm Captain Allon of the Meta-Human Squad and I demand you release me and my officers. We came here to help with an S.O.S. That was sent to us.” Captain Allon finally comming to enough to interject. The turning to stone experience had left him a little dazed.

“You dear Captain, were brought here under false pretenses. I knew my dear sister was with your squad and I needed to get her here. Ends to a means. These lovely interlopers just happened to come searching for the very thing you are all beholding right now.” Euryale spun and pointed to the alter and at its center laid the orb containing the Mother Box.

“I've told you we simply came to aquaire the Mother Box from you for a client of mine. We were more than willing to pay for it. We brought many a credit.” Grimbor struggled a little bit to test the vines and without missing a beat they squeezed him.

“I told you not to struggle.” Euryale wagged her pointed beauitful talon at him.

The winds around them were steady while patches of green sunlight broke through yellow blue clouds casting a hazy glow across all of them. Sethno's scales becoming irridesent.

“Why do you want to bring her back Euryale?” Sethno wasn't going to wait for Euryale to tell her. She was going striaght to the point.

“I wish to have her company again sister. Its lonley here now that you've chosen a life amoung the stars.” Euryale walked forward holding her red and gray cloak close.

“This isn't the way to do it sister and if you wanted her back why do you need me?”

“Because you have her power!” Euryale jumped Sethno. The two of them wrestled until Euryale was on top of Sethno and had her pinned to the ground.
