113. THE WITCHING HOUR.

114. SIMPSONS COMICS. Colorful bubbles![/b]

115. USAGI YOJIMBO. Show, don't tell, Buddy.

116. JUSTICE LEAGUE TASK FORCE. BOOM!

117. ROM. Both have the power of silence. That snow though.

118. Interesting framing on both. I'm going to go with NTT . Hard to go wrong with a starfield, and even if you had no idea who these people are, there's a story setup. Over on 52, who knows?

113. Witching Hour
A groom is shocked when discovering that his bride is a deranged, old harpy. That's marriage for ya buddy. It' nice to dust off these "classic" jokes. It's also a story not centred around dating a Power Lord.

114. Barbie Fashion
I'm a bit indifferent all round here. But Barbie has a retro spacesuit that's possibly trying to channel Barbarella in the safest way it can. Having the title in the flag on the moon also works really well. Actually, Barbie is a better cover than I first thought.

115. Usagi Yojimbo
Buddy gets the news that Grant Morrison wants to do a few more pointless finale issues. Yojimbo has a striking difference between fore and back grounds. The main character being a ronin rabbit is attention grabbing as it is, but it's his expression that gets the points.

116. JLTF
Supergirl seems to be a bit groin first in her targeting. That looks to be an uninspiring Despero she's up against. Almost too up against. Over in JL, not only the Ray's private parts look to be fried. The energy is shown as going through him, making for a better effect. Even if it probably turns out to be a disappointing Damage in a disappointing issue.

117. ROM
Ever since Byrne and Windsor Smith did issues in the snow, everyone was doing it for a while. It's the X-Men at around their best period for me, and the Hybrid might be better handled than a lot of the horrors that were in the book. I thought at first Dazzler was fighting The Wrecker. But looking more cleosely, she may be creating his image to frighten the other group away. They are overawed at how the villain can go topless without getting the sniffles.

118. 52
The Dibnys, globe trotting, Detective Chimp and a search fro the Helm of Nabu. Yet the whole series was an appallingly written train wreck. That's the mystery they should all be investigating. I think you'd have to be a regular Titans reader to get the hints from their cover. Although both its split scenes have connections, neither has the lighting of 52, which also gets points for merging the logo with the art.

His dates on Uranus didn't get past the code. If only modern artists could drawn legs like that, I'd read more comics.

This is the issue that Grant Morrison used to insert himself into the narrative of Animal Man. What he didn't realise was that it was one of a series of stories where household items would be central to the plot. My favourite was when Adam Strange had to defeat the Composite Alien after its accident with a blender.
