Ibby, he'd prefer something like Tamil or another middle-eastern? dialect, but I think they actually assign them. He's studied a bit of about four so far on his own.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
Thanks Ann. He's picked his direction, and now he's starting to take the journey. I think real life is starting to show it's ugly head. Worked all week at a part time job while waiting for induction, and then had a tire blow out. Spent most of his check on a new tire before getting with me.
I told him about checking out used tires, making sure you get one without plugs, etc. When he found out those could be purchased, balanced and mounted for about $40, he nearly crapped himself.
He is an awesomely smart young man. Much smarter than me. But I still have some life experience to offer.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
Learning never ends also better for him to learn young, than for him to learn the same lesson at, say, 60 years old
I still ask MY pa for advice sometimes (though most of the time, he gives it unsolicited, even about things he doesn't know about lol... like the Dutch housing market...)
I just wanted to stop in here and tell you all that I'm doing really well. After almost a decade of issues and a lot of setbacks, things finally have come together. I live a very quiet life but still chat with many of you guys on Facebook.
I love this site and I always have. But it's been hard for me to spend a lot of time here. A lot of memories. But even that is easier as the memories are more associated with smiles than sadness finally.
