You'll note that to prevent Thin Girl from causing widespread annorexia in young female readers, I made her an alien with oddly-placed facial features! No young female reader would want to emulate an ugly heroine, no matter how thin she gets!

This thread bumped in hopes of EDE reviews of character designs!

I love them all! It never occurred to me that my creation of "Matter-Smoker Lad" had already been created by Billy Hayden of Oak Harbor, Wash.!

I wonder if Detector Dick's power is only limited to evil-doers on Earth?

I'm not sure about the Thin Girl design... couldn't it result in lasses getting plastic surgery to put their noses on their foreheads, in addition to being anorexic?

If we haven't already used Dazzle Danny as one of the Murrans, we should!

Love the Lunar Lass, but she could use some kind of moon symbol on her!

Great space, EDE! I never considered that Thin Girl might cause mass facial plastic surgery in impressionable young female readers. It will make spotting her fans real easy at cons.

Put Lunar Lass in a straight jacket but with the arms loose.

Be-dazzle Danny's clothes with sequins.

Give Tina Truth a chest emblem that looks like a Lie Detector Test.

Make Thin Girl's body actually look like a string, and make her really pretty.

Also, Omniboy and Earthquake Lad from Adv. 315 correspond to the Omnibeast and Earthquake Beast from the Legion of Super Monsters. Also, Gas Girl seems to have the interesting property of having been adapted from reader suggestion twice, both as the Hero of Lallor and as the Gas Creature from the Super Monsters story!

And Mist Master has the same powers as Gas Girl and that beastie, as well. It's a popular theme in the Legionverse!

Alternate Form powers are always cool. Body of Stone (Stone Boy, Blok), Body of Metal (the metal monsters of Braal, Ferro, Colossus, Silver Slasher, Metalhead). Body of Mist/Gas (Gas Girl, Vapor, Mist Master, Veil, Mist Mistress, etc.). Body of Energy (Wildfire, Monica Rambeau, Living Lightning, Zzzax).

Body of Liquid/Water seems to be the rarest of the elemental forms, but there's also more obscure stuff like Body of Shadow (Obsidian, Cloak) or Body of Particulates (Sandman, Quicksand, Dust).

Body of Work... the Writer from Morrison's Animal Man run who was killed off in the Suicide Squad.

I often thought that Neutro's powers were very much like Firestorm.

I was half expecting some of them to have appeared in the Universo story where he captures heroes form many worlds. Thundra Girl and Thunderbow would have been good stand out characters there.

I also liked Lamprey incapacitating foes by draining energy rather than zapping them. Sure, it's dangerous, bu that's what the academy is there for. And why Duplicate Damsel is a tutor:)
