The city of Boston gets its water from the Quabbin Reservoir. Four towns were flooded to make the reservoir. I believe they gave people time to leave before flooding the towns.

Washes out the vital salts in your body. Plus if you ever gulped in any as a kid at a pool or in the ocean --- well let's just say your body hates you for awhile.
