Yeah, I think merging the universes would be a mess, and totally unnecessary.
Didn't she name drop Harrison Ford one time? I remember being amusing, but I can't remember the details. In the "I can't be the only one" category of curiosity, I google "cat grant name dropping." Yep, Call him, tell him "I'm flattered but once and for all, I don't date older men."

The move to CW might won't hurt Supergirl so badly. The cgi superhero action on The Flash has been the best of the speedsters, be they Marvel or DC, tv or movie. In my opinion of course. They're real "comic-booky" and use all the space instead of just running on ground. Looks cool!
Maybe they can keep a Cat Grant spin-off on CBS and .... no, impractical. Would be a nice "Marvel's" touch, a Cat Grant spin-off, living with superheroes but never actually seeing superheroes, just their affects and after affects.

As long as the characters and the tone remain consistent, I don't think the move to the CW will harm the show too much. There might be a few more battles during the night or inside abandoned factories, but I can accept that.

There's one thing they HAVE to make happen for me. Cat Grant meets Felicity's Mom.

Casting notice for Supergirl s2: ".... the comics-inspired Maggie, an out and proud detective for the newly formed Science Police, which deals specifically with metahuman and alien threats."

They're having a bit of difficulty juggling the components they have to be adding a "Science Police." Would be great as a means to introduce them and spin it off but I wouldn't want too much emphasis, they already have the DEA and the Scoobies. Sci-Police has much more potential than that traveling time show IMO but not in Supergirl.

If you actually click through to the Bleeding Cool link they use as the basis, it's pure speculation. Plausible enough, to be fair, but speculation nonetheless.

Based on the description of the crash, it could just as easily be Dev-em.

True, though Dev-Em may be unlikely due to his inclusion in the Krypton pilot.

So, as anticipated since the show was announced to switch filming to Canada, Cat Grant exited the show with Monday's episode. There's room for her to return, but any such reappearances would likely be few and far between.
It's a shame. Though many found Calista Flockhart's performance to be cliched or overly cold when the show started, I certainly feel that her presence became one of the highlights over time. But I must admit that the way it was executed was very well done. And a larger story purpose to her departure in regards to Kara's character development is apparent and feels natural. Kara loses a teacher who pushed her to be the best she could be professionally and must now stand on her own two feet.
Judging by these first two episodes of the new season, any fears I may have had about the show moving to the CW have been allayed. Adding the delightful addition and portrayal of Kara's Super-cousin to the mix, Supergirl looks to be the best and brightest of the four CW "Arrowverse" series at this point.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!
