We have a popular snack franchise here called Jamaican patties. I like ordering the spicy beef-and-cheese-filled one.

I like the mildly seasoned, meat-and-dough-only Jamaican patties.

Despite the cuddly, friendly Attenborough in the role, I seem to remember having misgivings about what was behind his character just from the film. Maybe that's my memory. It's not one I've seen much, but well worth the popcorn admission. I've only seen the first sequel.

I have seen a couple of other Terminator movies beyond the first two. I did enjoy the second one, but that was despite the kid in it and turning your antagonist into a sympathetic character. The later ones haven't left any memories, so I couldn't have thought much of them.

That's how I feel about most movies. I have a vague recollection of having seen them, but that's it.

When I was younger, I wanted to do cinema journalism for a living, so a certain hyper-critical tendency remains in me whenever I watch a movie.

A good movie for me is one in which I don't think abut the plot holes until after the movie. A bad movie is one in which I see the plot holes as I watch it.

It sounds like you and I are on the same page regarding movies, Quis.

Folks I know think I'm a bit critical when it comes to films. But I go in, preferably not knowing much about it, to be entertained/ challenged or made to feel something.

I don't sit there overthinking it or picking it apart. But like you guys, something in the watching can derail it, and it's tough to recover from that.

I have a tendency to constantly be analyzing a film as I watch it, though I fortunately don't complain about to my friends as we're watching it. tongue

I have a tendency to get bored while watching movies, so if my mind does not wander I know it is a good movie.

Rocky, do you think you might go to San Diego in 2018 for the Legion's 60th Anniversary? I'd love to meet you.

I don't know. I'll have to see where we are after the wedding next spring.

It looks like we'll be going to Boston. Whilst we're in the area, we'll do seven state capitol selfies (Boston, Augusta, Concord, Montpelier, Albany, Hartford, Providence).

Please come to Boston for the spring time.
I'm stayin' here with some friends
And they've got lots of room.
You can sell your paintings on the sidewalk
By a cafe where I hope to be workin' soon.
Please come to Boston.

^^Dave Loggins wrote "Please Come to Boston."

I used to think he was Kenny Loggins' under-achieving kid brother, but it turns out they're second cousins or something.
