She and Avril Lavigne are the definition of "manufactured rebels" in the music industry.

Most punk bands aren't on major labels so I suppose you're right. shrug

Todd Rundgren was, and has remained, a genuine rock and roll rebel. If you doubt me, read the book "Small Town Talk."

Though my love for elven epaulets is well-known, I'm afraid I can't allow them to kill the thread.

I've been drinking a lot more iced tea in restaurants since I had to quit most of my boozing.

Last night, the server brought me a shot glass of simple syrup, just in case the tea wasn't sweet enough for me. lol

The funniest part is, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Yankee and I've always *hated* sweetened iced tea. The first time I tried it (on a childhood road trip down South with the family, I was so grossed out I literally spit.) <--- bad child with no manners. At least we were outside at the time.

I don't identify as a Yankee. Even though I'm not much of a baseball fan, the Red Sox were such a part of my growing up that I can't see the word as anything but a negative term.

I followed baseball a lot more as a kid, though I still wear an Astros cap when it's hot outside.

Now I'm reminded of that Bugs Bunny cartoon where Yosemite Sam wouldn't let the NY Yankees out of their dugout because he thought the Civil War was still on.

Yosemite Sam's volatile personality was allegedly based on Friz Freleng.

I always preferred Elmer Fudd to Yosemite Sam. As a child, I called him Elmer Fudge.

Elmer Fudd was the only major Warner Bros Golden Age cartoon character who was not originally voiced my Mel Blanc. Rather, Elmer was originally voiced by Arthur Q. Bryan.

I always identified with Sam as a kid, despite not having red hair. I had a female character in an old WB fanfic who totally had his... flair for language, too.

In one of the radio adaptations of It's a Wonderful Life, Arthur Q. Bryan plays the role of the Guardian angel Clarence, using his Elmer Fudd voice, which is rather amusing.
