I thought a lot of the Pokémon creatures were cute, especially Pikachu.

Pokemon was my favorite game franchise as a kid.

I enjoyed Pokemon too.

If I could build a real team I would pick Starmie, Arcanine, Crobat, Aegislash. Maybe Nidoking.

My favorite Pokemon growing up was Aerodactyl.

The even-toed ungulates belong to the order Artiodactyla.

Aerodactyl is a cool Pokemon!

But is it an ungulate (I know nothing about Pokemon)?

If you want an ungulate, there's Tauros, Miltank, Rhyhorn, Rapidash, Emboar, Hippowdon, Zebstrika, Wailord, Camerupt, Stantler, Bouffalant...

I'd prefer a giraffe.

Giraffes are adorable. I love their big sleepy eyes.

For giraffe enthusiasts, there's always the giraffe Pokemon, Girafarig.

What about those people that like giraffes but is indifferent to Pokemon?

I can't have a giraffe. The only tree in the backyard is a hawthorn. Ouch!

Anyway, given the poor state of the place these days, a goat would probably be the more practical choice.

I miss working Swing Shift.

I appreciate having a set shift now that I am doing so much overtime.

I hope it's a set shift selling seashells by the seashore.

My favorite variation on that old tongue-twister is "She shells C-cells and is she sore!"

What a tongue twister!

Pinky and the Brain ended up in a bizarre spinoff with Elmyra Duff from Tiny Toon Adventures called Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain. It was surprisingly well done, but quite bizarre.

Elmyra is annoying. She should try hugging some Pokemon... like Quilladin!

I never got into the Pinky-Brain-Elmyra mashup, but kudos to them for trying to keep the show alive, at least.

Some of the best episodes of P&TB came near the end of its original run. Their James Bond pastiche, for instance, is adorable.

All I can say is "Narf!"

It was hard to like Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain because the concept was just so out there. It was written by the same people who did Tiny Toons and Animaniacs, so it was still funny. It just reeked of network meddling.

If they were going to have a recurring female character on the show, it should've been Billie. I imagine that Brain would've eventually given up fearing she was his rival for world domination. He would've tried to recruit her to help in his plans, only to find out that despite being a genius herself, she had zero interest in ruling anything.

Or they could have used Pinky's horse girlfriend, Phar Fignewton.
