My favourite animal is the rare and enchanting Moogalash of Lower Madagascar, because I just made it up now.

Coincidently, one of my students recently asked me this so I've had time to think it through and concluded, I don't think I'd consciously make better decisions with my life than what chance has. Not to say it's the perfect life with the perfect result but if I spend too much time muddling with it, I don't imagine it turning out as well as it did. So in MY case, I think I'd just let it ride.

I would probably have gone to a college further away from home. To have developed my self-reliance better.

Criminal Minds. The killers are horrifying, but I appreciate the use of psychological concepts.

I like a British show called "In the Flesh". I've watched both seasons. Unfortunately, a third season never materialized. The story is about the aftermath of a zombie uprising. Humans have won when they discover a drug that gives the zombies back their ability to reason and their need for "brains". The story mostly follows a young guy who was a zombie. He has come home to his small Northern town where there was an organized resistance to the zombies.

Me and Blaze cuddling somewhere. I don't care if it's on a beach or on top of a snowy mountain. It's one stop of our round the world trip. Rest day, then tomorrow we hop on a train to the next country.
We don't have to hide who we are, we are just two people perfectly in love. Homemade picnic (we love cooking together) - cream of squash, shrimp gambas, beef tacos with salsa, and a salad which MUST have bell peppers AND tomatoes. Some nice white wine. Blueberry cheesecake, Blaze's favorite dessert because he can eat all he wants and not get fat while I must watch my weight because I'm naturally chunky BAH.

Black Raspberry. It was an extravagance we almost always had in the house growing up and I have it today. Particulalry liked it on russian tea-cakes. Frig looks naked without a little jar of it.
SAPBM
What little extravagance do you have, something that makes you feel richer (?) than you are?

I suppose with me it's travel. That's where most of my disposable income goes to (besides the huge chunk that goes into my savings).
I can go somewhere exotic and mysterious like Myanmar for about 600 to 650 USD, all expenses. And that experience was unforgettable.
Besides that, it's the occasional foreign beer that I keep in my fridge and drink when I've had a tough week at work.
SAPBM,
What has been your most extravagant purchase?

I figured I'd better look up the definition just to be sure my first instinct answer was in the category and I think it is.
Movie popcorn. WAY, WAY, WAY over-priced. I'm sure I'd enjoy the movie without the popcorn but it's just not the going to be the same experience. For me, it's practically an inelastic commodity that should be subject to government price controls as necessary to normal existence.
I just got back from a day at my undergrad alma mater, had a great visit. What are some places from your childhood or younger years you'd like to go re-visit, for reminiscing's sake.

I was surprised by how expensive movies were in L.A. too. I decided to just walk around.
From my childhood... hmm... there's a pretty good zoo outside the city called Avilon Zoo. I remember enjoying the place quite a bit.

People have various things that they like and excite them. There is no logic to this as the human mind is too complex. For some people the like and excitement is dressing up as anthropomorphic animals and interacting with others similarly dressed.

People dressed as cops. There are a lot of corrupt ones here...
and people dressed as thugs/gangsters. Just trying to be safe. Of course, I have met a few well-dressed people who were complete jerks.
