Thoth, LOL From what I've heard, Mike & Andy's self-destructive behavior had nothing on Johnny's. In Morrissey's autobiography, he claims that Johnny collapsed at Moz's mum's house. Mama Moz took Johnny upstairs, and when she came back downstairs, a worried Moz asked how Johnny was. She replied, "Well, he's OK, but he owes me an eiderdown."

Possibly my all-time favorite "Peanuts" comic strip (certainly in the top ten) is this one from December 19, 1968:
Panel One:
Lucy is sitting on the floor, reading, when Linus approaches.
Linus: "Do chicken-birds ever build nests on mountain tops?"
Panel Two:
Lucy: "Do what ever do what?"
Linus: "I'm writing a research paper on chicken-birds. Do chicken-birds ever build nests on mountain tops?"
Panel Three:
Lucy stares into space dumbfounded as Linus looks on.
Panel Four:
Linus turns to walk away. Lucy is still sitting and staring dumbfounded.
Linus: "I'll look in the encyclopedia."
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Lucy once tried to contrive the most sincere pumpkin patch in hopes of attracting the Great Pumpkin, but only for the publicity and its material rewards. Linus pronounced it the most hypocritical pumpkin patch he had ever seen.
