"I think the Prof is suggesting that there's no reason they couldn't publish the continuing adventures of the preboot Legion alongside the current version, as an "All-Star Legion", similar to the "All-Star Batman"."
Yes, exactly. I got this idea well over a year ago, stemming from discussions with another KLORDNY member over the idea that the Zero Hour reboot just WAS NOT NECCESSARY. It seems to me in light of the multitude of "Elseworlds", that there simply is no longer a reason NOT to go back to Earth-1 and pick up where they left off. For the longest time I thought that was LSH #63. But on reflection, I realize that if I was to REALLY go back to Earth-1, it would have to be back to around LSH #16 or so (right around the time Supergirl died).
There's certain events, certain stories after that, that were so good I wouldn't want to lose them-- but this could be done SELECTIVELY. For example, the "Who Is Sensor Girl?" story could remain intact-- except for reinstating Paul Levitz' original intended ending. "The Universo Project" was brilliant. But very little else.
By going back to Earth-1, there would be NO confusing "continuity" problems. We'd be dealing with the "real" Superboy-- who grows up to be the "real" Superman-- and who could thus revisit the LSH anytime, since by then, they've grown into the ADULT LEGION! Neither Supergirl OR Superboy need have died-- since after all, THOSE were events seen from the viewpoint of the "New DC Universe"-- NOT Earth-1!
It also struck me such a title could be a totally separate book, which need NOT interfere whatsoever with WHATEVER is the "current" Legion. That was true during the Reboot. It's still true now. (Of course, Mark Waid DID feel the need to interfere with the Reboot-- even though HE was the one who started it in the first place.)
Considering the current book was called THE LEGION a year ago, I figured the "obvious" title for such an Earth-1 book would be... THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES. But that'd be a bit of a problem now, wouldn't it? Of course-- we could always go with the more unweildy TALES OF THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES! (I like that better than ADVENTURE COMICS, or ALL-STAR LEGION, in any case!)

To be frank, rewriting the Legion history as you want isn't going to do anything. Also, the stories are all self-contained. They'll be no linking continuity to them.

I don't think selectively choosing stories from after Crisis would be very successful, but what if they picked up after LSH #63, with Brainy investigating the leftover anomalies (like why they all remember Supergirl if she supposedly never existed in their past and couldn't have come from the Pocket Universe). I don't know exactly how this would go, but it could end up with the discovery that they are *in fact* the future of the Earth-1 universe, and Superboy/Supergirl are in the past as always.

Hey, profh0011 (or anybody else who knows):
Just what exactly was Paul Levitz's originally intended ending to the Who-is-Sensor Girl story arc?
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

Hi mediocre boy, how's the weather there in Toronto?
The answer to your question: Kara Zo-rel, AKA Supergirl, AKA Particle Lass (LOL)s
I suspect that was Paul's original plan til Crisis mucked things up.
I could be wrong too

Yeah, Sensor Girl was originally designed to be Kara, having somehow survived the Crisis but with her abilities reduced to her sensory-based one.
This idea was quickly nixed by TPTB.

The weather in T.O. has been very pleasant the last few days, BrianT, but we usually get very, very humid summers, so I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, as it were. And thank you not only for asking, but for answering my question about Sensor Girl (this applies to Eryk Davis Ester, too, of course). All I can say is: wow! Sensor Girl as Jeckie is one of my favourite Legionnaires, but Sensor Girl as Kara Zorel would've been pretty neat, too. Welcome to Legion World, by the way; it's nice to see that you've dived right in.

8. Elemental Lad Garth: Dude...you not only kill Elemental Lad after corrupting him but you make him a Metal Man. Horrible!
7. Proty Garth: ....it would have been much worse probably if they'd ever touched on it. Don't like me the idea.
6. And everyone you know is a CLONE: The whole Legionaires plotline is disturbing to me most in the fact that it's the plot of the Spiderman Clone Saga yet somehow is ONLY the sixth worst twist. I don't care who are the clones, I like very much two legion teams.
5. Five year's later: It was bold, it didn't work. Good in some things, and bad in anothers (Like Block and Dirk deaths)
4. Sneckie: I didn't mind Sneckie, because I like snakes but a lot of Karate Kid fans and Jeckie didn't mind it (frankly I'm rooting for him and Tinya this time around) plus I thought 'humanized sneckie' was kinda cute.
I'll agree 100%.
3. Superboy is a Pocket universe entity: The thing that started the whole ball rolling. It was actually a great plotline though and its rather sad that it started the snowball effect to Worst Plot Twist 2 and Worst Plot Twist 1 Not bad at all.
2. The Time Trapper and Glorith are responsible for your mother's sister's mermaid's kitten's education: The ridiculousness of the whole retconning business was just horrible. Silly!
1. Zero Hour Reboot: Hands down, the worst decision of all of Legion history. The "New Legion" wasn't bad, by any stretch of the imagination (it was Weird but that's another matter entirely) Not really necessary erase all the legion history!
And for me
The combo Kinetix-Violet-Emerald Eye. The Emerald Vi (Horrible draw for Lee Moder). The Empress (Silly character never has the shine of Sarya). And the useless death of Gim Allon.
The all Apparition Soap Opera. Cruel mother, gambler father, cargg origin, two parts lost in past and limbo, burnig death, ghost resurrection, merged with PHASE, the jelausy plot with Brin and Imra (for only one inocente kiss) and the nasty Cub. It's too much for a lovely character like the previous Tinya. I really hate her in the reboot. Hey Empress, Please dont be upset if i correct u on one little detail - it was Light Lass who got unglued from watching Timber Wolf and Saturn Girl cuddle on the asteroid, not Apparition (or Phantom Girl in this case)

Hi Brian T
The kiss in question is in Legion Lost Miniserie. Imra & Jo hot kiss. Later Imra tell to Tinya about it in a letter. And for the other side Jo is jelausy about the friendship of Brin & Tinya. It's clear now?
And for all I know in the asteroid Imra only give to Brin a big hug. All the jelausy sopa opera was in the Ayla's mind.
From UK with glamour.

Oh gosh, im sorry, Empress. You are absolutely correct...
I see i missed out on quite a lot after i gave up on the Legion after the brilliant, but indifferently drawn Blight Saga.
Perhaps the writer of Legion Lost borrowed pieces of that long-ago Levitz tale and swapped couples/loving partners/estranged team-mates...I begin to see your point about soap operas. Yeesh!
No wonder i got confused...
