The Legion of Super-pets needs a cow. Maybe Bat-Cow could be an honorary member.

There's a weird shortage of anthropomorphic cow aliens.

We need more anthropomorphic cow aliens. On the other hand, we have too many anthropomorphic mice.

I have some doodles of an anthropomorphic mouse in the Legion book I borrowed from the library. Don't worry. I used notepaper.

Her name is Big Jane and she plays a mean soprano sax.

This has zilch to do with the Legion. I just had the book on my lap when the urge to draw hit me.

Anthropomorphic elephants are also underused. I blame the anthropomorphic mice.

James Sturm's version of Kellogg's Tusk drank like a fish and killed a guy, not necessarily in that order. Ah, that was an underappreciated second Silver Age of comics: the late Eighties/early Nineties. I hope the store I consigned those comics to finds them a loving home.

One of my favorite children's book series is a beginning reader series by Mo Willems called Elephant and Piggie.

I always liked Piglet on Winnie the Pooh. And Rabbit.

Says a lot about me that i liked the worrywarts.

I try to reread Russel Hoban's The Mouse And His Child at least once a year. The movie is really dated now, but I still enjoyed seeing it again last year-- three decades or so after my first viewing.

Well, Piglet, being a Very Small Animal, has reason to worry. Rabbit is clever and he has Brain, but, as Pooh would say, "that's why he never understands anything."

Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory is another character who has a brain, but understands very little.

I like how in the Pooh books, a smart/clever person is said to have "Brain."

After the passing of Eeyore's original voice actor from the Pooh Disney cartoons, the role was taken over by Peter Cullen, also known as the heroic Optimus Prime from Transformers and the villainous Venger from Dungeons & Dragons (he also voiced Felix Faust in one installment of Super Friends.)

I'll take Pinky and the Brain over all challengers.

I once started a thread in the Titans forum listing the voice actors who I felt would have sounded best if there had been a Titans cartoon in the 80s. For the Brotherhood of Evil's leader, the Brain, I nominated Maurice LaMarche, hoping someone would notice and comment that Maurice LaMarche really WAS the voice of another Brain -- the Brain from Pinky & the Brain.

I've been watching Animaniacs on Netflix lately. I've come to the conclusion that they should have made more than two Minerva Mink cartoons.

There's an obscure song by Samantha Moore called "Cliff Dance" which should've absolutely been one of those cartoons.
