A few friends and I were discussing a few weeks ago the ultimate 90's songs to "get it on" to--we're all around the same age of 31-35 or so and "came of age" in the 90's.
And just for the hell of it, since its kinda related to sexy R&B singers of the 90's, here is a video that I'm loving. Mainly because not only is Natalie La Rose stunning, but she's paying homage to a girl young Cobie loooooved in the 90's, which was my girl Aaliyah. (Or at least, I think she is.)
My college roommates and I do this thing (probably super annoying to everyone else) where if anyone says a sentence that ends with "noise", we add in "girls rock your boys!".
Despite an awesome music video, Ellie Goulding's "On My Mind", the lead single from her new album, was a disappointment to me. This video-less promotional single, on the other hand, sounds much better:
The "Umineko" visual novel series has got some of THE best music in video games/sound novels history. They've got at least a dozen different composers contributing to the games' music, and it ranges from classical piano to hot blooded action movie fighting music.
I remember my brother getting this one (although I was keen to listen to it) and there being so few tracks on it. Value for money is important on pocket pennies. Still, it's one of the few Pet Shop Boys tracks I still listen to.
"...not having to believe in a thing to be interested in it and not having to explain a thing to appreciate the wonder of it."
Actually, it's been a favorite for years, but today is the first time in a long time that I've played it. Monday Michiru's jazz vocals are divine, played off the deft flourishes from that French-sounding squeezebox.
