Fanfie and I, along with Tamper Lad, Caliente, and Joeboy--all of whom joined LW in 2005--were collectively referred to as the All-New, All Different LMB.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Tamper Lad and Caliente have made recent appearances on these forums, but Joeboy has not.
Rocky and I continue to post regularly.

Somehow, I've managed to post regularly on LW pretty much since I joined.

I don't even know who else joined when I did. Now I'm embarrassed.

Oh, suck it up and deal, Kid. Old age is only terrifying until you remember the alternative.

Toying with a name change to Kid thoth, like that will fool anyone...

Yeah, they're reversible, so you can have the other side done up with whatever fabric you want. I went with Madras plaid (Muted Black Watch) because it's my favorite pattern and feels so nice and soft after the first hundred years' launderings.

Ah, I just took the one that got handed to me. There' weren't many left. Let's see what's on the other side... Violet... Great. More purple. Worse... the label says it will definitely shrink in the wash.

Seems like, "What's on the flip-side of your Trapper robe?" could be a good thread. Or, "What's on the flip-side of THE Trapper's robe," maybe. On the other hand, already I feel like hardly anyone responds to my actual posts about the Legion because they sound too weird and context-less or something. Maybe everything I'm remembering from the stories didn't actually happen, but everyone's too tactful to let me know that my mind is gone?

Aw cleome. I think as a whole, discussion on LW about the Legion is less common than it once was.

I did just find Legion Showcase No. 5 at the library yesterday. That's pretty cool. It looks to be about a 50/50 split between stories I've read before and stories I haven't.

I just recommended LW to a Facebook friend whom I just discovered was a Legion fan. He lives out Cleome's way.

I recommended the Legion comics to a few friends. none of them are still reading now but at least some of them still remember the Postboot Legion fondly.

I recommend the British show "In the Flesh" about a former zombie in a post-zombie apocalypse Britain. There were only 2 seasons and the first season was 3 episodes long, the second season was 6 episodes long. I wish they had made season 3.

On the other hand, already I feel like hardly anyone responds to my actual posts about the Legion because they sound too weird and context-less or something. : Hey, you post it and I'll reply to it Maybe everything I'm remembering from the stories didn't actually happen, but everyone's too tactful to let me know that my mind is gone? There was a Doom Patrol character who thought he was writing a masterpiece exploding conspiracies, only to find that he had been mind controlled to write gibberish by the people he sought to expose. His gibberish novels went on to be huge sellers. I'm sure Morrison got the idea from somewhere else too... but ... mind ...fails...me...

I recently re-read a sizable chunk of Morrison's Doom Patrol. Much better and more coherent than I remembered it. I particularly enjoyed the issues with Mr. Nobody and the Brotherhood of Dada.

I remember that it sagged for me when they went off to the alien war. But it certainly picked up again at the end, and had a very strong start.

The alien war was definitely the least inspired arc of Morrison's Doom Patrol. Still better than any arc of Morrison's JLA, IMHO.
