The French also work shorter hours and take longer vacations.

Lack of autonomy, stress, lack of sleep, being persecuted for orientation, social class, race, etc... all of these things are woefully under-analyzed for the long-term negative effects they have on health and longevity.

Long travel times and inter-connectedness, too.

The number of statutory holidays in Europe, and the more generous social welfare benefits, both make me want to live there.

Once you're settled on the Left Bank, I expect a photo of you biting into one of those radish sandwiches with that other guy who used to post here.

I think they would have to. Otherwise, it's a bit one trick

Words appear on Painting: Aha! I shall eat Paris!
Painting: It is done!
- an hour later-
Hmmm... now what... the "Painting that Ate Toulouse"...Perhaps I don't have to eat the whole place all in one go. "The Painting that Nibbled Versailles?" I quite liked Paris...
-an hour later-
Words appear on Painting: Aha! The Painting That Ate Paris Then Regurgitated It shall return to consume you again!

Now with time travel you could work your way back, eating lots of Paris as you go.

As with a lot of major cities, I doubt that a lot of residents would notice, until it impacted their phone signal. A united sound from a million voices would cry "Why does it always happen to me!

I have never been eaten by a Paris-eating painting, either.

I have been eaten by someone from Bordeaux...

But does Belinda The House Lion also sleep tonight? Streaky

(I love it when the guy who makes the Cole & Marmalade videos on YouTube refers to black cats as "house panthers.")

Some house cats do seem like wild cats.
