Oh cleome, I am just poking fun at people who are too easily offended. You know how some people are. I wore the wrong shade of green once and got yelled at by this jerk. Well, who knew it was just the same shade as his ex's favorite color!

As far as meat goes, I haven't eaten beef or pork in twenty years. Among other things, I just don't like them.

I've been trying vegan and vegetarian recipes off the One Green Planet site lately. It's been hit or miss. There's basically one, "Pretty good, but needs tweaking" for every recipe that turns out to be a total clunker. Ah, well. I need to get to the library and find a real cookbook written by actual cooks.

I am such a fussy eater. I don' think I cold go vegan or vegetarian.

At the risk of sounding pretentious, I consider myself an omnivore, and I believe that the secret is in doing things in moderation.

My endgame is just to have more veggies at the center of meals more often. I haven't really sworn off any food in particular, except booze. Because that was the doc's orders.

One problem I have eating less meat is not just substituting a lot of pasta and cereal. It's what I've done in the past, since they're both delicious and relatively cheap. Now I have to avoid using them as a crutch because of health issues. [grumble] I like fresh vegetables but they're expensive compared to grains, and you have to buy small amounts and eat them quickly before they spoil.

I'm not a vegetarian, though I often eat vegetarian-type foods. My rule of thumb is I don't eat mammals. Again, a lot of it is I just don't care for beef or pork.

I'm with Rocky on this one. I'm just not keen on the taste of pork.
