It's been so long since I've used this site. Can somebody link me to where I can find the Legion comic checklists. I have all of the core Legion titles and am searching for their appearance in lesser titles such as Superman, Lois Lane, Jimmy Oleson, Justice League and so on.
I have lived for the Legion and one day I shall die for the Legion.

Click Here for the Legion checklist from the Encyclopedia Galactica Section.

Not on this site but it might be good to link here Legion Outpost II E-Zine which has a pretty comprehensive list of Legion and Legion related character appearances and facts up through the Reboot. http://www.infiniteearths.org/lsh

The Preboot Khunds. Which are the most in-depth threads about them on Legion World, and where are at least some of the better essays/articles/blog posts about them outside LW?

I'm not coming up with anything. Why not start a new thread where we discuss the Khunds in-depth?

That sounds great to me. I'll start it right now. And I see you did find one thread and bumped it. Thanks loads, EDE.

Surprisingly, search only turned up three threads with "Khund" in the title!

Does anyone know if Weber's World was named after someone in particular?

Answering my own question .... Possibly Max Weber, the man who wrote The Protestant Ethic (which I've never read). Came across the name in another context and thought he's a likely candidate.
From wikipedia: Against Marx's historical materialism, Weber emphasised the importance of cultural influences embedded in religion as a means for understanding the genesis of capitalism.] The Protestant Ethic formed the earliest part in Weber's broader investigations into world religion; he went on to examine the religions of China, the religions of India and ancient Judaism, with particular regard to their differing economic consequences and conditions of social stratification. In another major work, "Politics as a Vocation", Weber defined the state as an entity that successfully claims a "monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory". He was also the first to categorise social authority into distinct forms, which he labelled as charismatic, traditional, and rational-legal. His analysis of bureaucracy emphasised that modern state institutions are increasingly based on rational-legal authority.

Does anyone know of a list of Legion Leaders in chronological order?
I saw somewhere that Wolf had been leader, but about the only place I can think of is during Lost when they were trapped in our time, or am I missing one?
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

Rick, According to the wiki, Timber Wolf was acting leader during the Five Year Gap (see Term 18).

Does anyone know anything about Wildfire's parents? I know they were in one story where the Legion's folks were being kidnapped but that's all I got...have they ever been named, are they still alive, any info would be good really - thanks in advance!

Also, I don't think they were in the Dagon the Avenger story. I don't think they've ever been seen on panel.

Thanks EDE...misreading on my part; there's a scene in that story where Ayla says Wildfire's folks are missing but you're right, they're never actually shown.

I peeked at Who's Who in the Legion to see I his parents appeared at that parents group shot. They don't and his entry in the same issue states "None" for known relatives.

Wasn't Squire Burroughs Wildfire's brother during the 5 year gap Legion? The parents have never been named.

Yeah, that cover was annoying. I scoured through background info with no success thinking he'd been used in the past.

So, in the threeboot Drake's brother was named "Randall Burroughs". This was also the real name of postboot character Atom'x, who was half of Wildfire.
Weirdly, I seem to have this memory of Atom'x parents appearing after his death, which would thus kind of be a version of Wildfire's parents, but apparently they didn't actually appear, so...

Although, in Legionnaires 76 (the issue where Atom'x and Blast-Off's energies merge to become the character we know as Wildfire), they mention families "our families". It's not clear from the word balloon which one is speaking, but implied both are (in earlier panels, Blast-Off's balloons were yellow, Atom'x's were red, but the one mentioning families was in white). At the end of the issue, Saturn Girl mentions that both families will gather to meet the new combined Wildfire.
In Legionnaires 51, the aftermath of the Mordru battle, Kid Quantum II mentions knowing Atom'x family and wants to help plan his memorial.
Blast-Off's real name was given as Jahr-Drake Ningle. Combined with Atomx's Randall Burroughs, Wildfire takes the name Drake Burroughs.

I think those mentions of his family are why I was thinking they'd actually appeared!

The Five years later was part of the original 1958 continuity correct? The title Legion of Super-Heroes issues 1 -125 are all part of the original continuity correct?

Well, that depends on what one means by "original continuity", but, yes, 5YL continues on the story of the original Legion, albeit with massive retcons because of Crisis and DC's insistence that they completely eliminate Superboy from their history.
However, in one of the most confusing moves DC has ever taken in regards to the Legion, 5YL only runs from vol. 4 #1-61. vol. 4 #62-125 all feature the "post-Zero Hour" or "postboot" Legion continuity.
