Once some Mormon missionaries stopped me when I was in Harvard Square. They asked me what I knew about the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints. I told them how it was founded by Joseph Smith and that later Brigham Young led them to Utah. Also that polygamy had been an issue with the church. They were amazed and asked me if I was a Latter-Day Saint. I said "No, I just know a bunch of history." and then walked away.

The name itself, Latter-Day Saints, just sounds so... poetic.

My great-grandfather was born in Barnstaple, Devon.

Though it's spelled differently, Barnstable, Massachusetts, is named for Barnstaple, Devon.

A staple is one consonant away from being stable.

In Words With Friends, I call a hand with all consonants being consonant-pated. The opposite is a vowel movement. grin

Thanks, Rocky.

Vowels are valid, but bowels are foul.

Marsha, The Queen of Diamonds was a villain on the Batman TV show. Marsha was played by Carolyn Jones, who also played Morticia in the Addams Family TV show.
