Really surprised to see Vandal Savage go. He's a top tier villain, who's an imoortal threat to the Titans, JSA and probably the JLA too. He was the most brutal of villains in Kingdom Come.
In the way that Deadshot did so well in the last Idol, I thought that the second Thinker would also do better. Not only a recurring antagonist n Firestorm, before he got powers, but a nasty sociopath over in Suicide Squad.

I like Vandal Savage but he's not who I think of when I think of Flash villains. He would get probably get more points from me in a JSA Villain Idol.
This is the same reason why I'll be turning on Magenta shortly. I've been giving her the highest points each round so far but that's mainly beacuse she's one of my favourite Titans characters.
I really didn't like it when they went down the crazy villain road with her in the Flash books, especially when Geoff Johns had her hanging out with all those murderers during his 'Rogue War' arc.
The Thinker and Goldface are other characters I associate more with other properties (JSA and Green Lantern respectively).

The post Crisis Flash relaunch had Savage as a major early villain. It was disappointing that more wasn't done with him at the time.

The post Crisis Flash relaunch had Savage as a major early villain. It was disappointing that more wasn't done with him at the time. Just noticed this looking at the active topics screen. In the short run (no pun intended), Savage didn't get enough face time, but in the long run he was at the top of his game in the superb 3-part arc running from Flash 48 to 50, written by Bill Loebs and drawn by Greg LaRocque, both at the top of their game as well. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.

Please join the game, it is a lot of fun. LSV Idol will start probably a month after this one is over, but after that I want to do a Marvel one (probably Spider-Villain) for the sake of my sanity. There tends to be more resources for Marvel characters (websites, books, official statistics) so it is easier for me to compile the data and host.

I may just do that, Emily. Thank you.
And I apologize if it was inappropriate of me to make that post, it's just that I really love that Wally vs Vandal Savage story.

I don't mind the commentary at all; I usually give it more time between rounds on purpose if people are commenting. The most important thing is that people are having fun.

Thanks again, Emily. I was just looking over the first few pages of the thread, including the rules. I'll join in tomorrow, when I'm less tired and have a clearer head.

Alas, poor Clive Yorkin doesn't look long for this game. As a kid I found him so scary looking, more like something out of a horror comic than the Flash. And he was freaky in the books, not only was he deadly, he was a complete psychopath! And then he killed Iris! Later of course, it turns out he didn't, but 6-year old me still found him really terrifying.

Please edit the 0s. Please only use numbers from 1-10 for now. I can't accept the 0 votes because it will skew the data too much. Once we narrow the characters down further, we will end up changing the scale.

Fixed! (I hope!) Honestly, I really wasn't sure if there was a total the numbers should add up to or if I could only do a certain number of high votes or what have you.

Aww, I like Kilg%re! Although I mostly know him from the JLU and it was pretty different, so I guess it's not that sad. I will admit I was pretty disappointed that Girder didn't make it too far. He was one of the first Rogues I thought of when I saw this thread and I'm definitely a fan.
I'll admit some of my fondness for Magenta comes from roleplaying her in my past life. I also adore the Pied Piper to pieces - he's probably one of my all-time favorite characters ever. I may like him more than Wally and some of you may recall Wally is my fave like whoa.

I thought the Suit was interesting.
I'm sad that the Chunk left, although I guess he's not really an out and out villain as of pre-Flashpoint. But still.

The suit reminded me of the old Justice League stories where they fought their costumes.
I liked Chunk's early appearances, but he wasn't really a villain for me, so I was going to reduce points for him sooner or later.
Kilg%re was also around at the same time as Chunk, so those issues have held up in my memory probably more than I thought they would.
That's something I can also say about Infantino art. I was never a great fan of it, but I can't imagine the Eradicator or Colonel Computron drawn by anyone else.
Rag Doll was great in the JLA/JSA crossovers, again in Starman and was he in a secret six sort of thing too? None of which are the Flash, so for me it was a matter of time before I gave him fewer points.
