Correct! The deleted scenes certainly fleshed Biggs' character out a bit more.

Paladin has it! For some reason, that line was ingrained in my memory as a kid.

What was the proper name for the fella whom Ben Kenobi relieved of his arm in the famous cantina scene?

(The name MAY have been first revealed in EU but definitely became canon by way of a later action figure release.)

Was it either John, Paul, George or Ringo?

Everyone in that cantina probably has a name, family history and enough known about them to release a cookery book of their favourite meals by this point. I think I saw Hammerhead had a real name too the other day.

smile There you go. I reckon his name is Slaw Fondler, but he just shortens Walrus Man to Wally to people he knows.

I'll guess Wally's real name is Popaw Nadon, and he and Hammerhead are secretly really an old married couple!

I'll allow that, since no one was gonna know it anyway. But in general, I prefer no googling, wiki-ing, etc. in trivia threads. tongue

Extra points for the swell pun, though! grin

That said, I'm extremely curious as to what question Le Ficque shall ask! Stump us, Ficque! nod

Fun additional fact: Apparently Wally was named "Sawkee" in the Star Wars radio drama!

Bonus fact: Ponda's mouthy friend with the even uglier face is Dr. Cornelius Evazan. Ponda and the doc had one of the more memorable stories in the anthology novel, Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina.

Glad you liked the pun, Lardy. But I apologize for not realizing that Googling is a no-no.

My question:

What kind of accent did George Lucas originally want C3PO to have before he was won over by Anthony Daniels' English accent?

Japanese? - off the back of the Hidden Fortress thing, rather than me having a clue or anything.
