I signed the guest book but guess I did it wrong as I don't see the message.I sure don't want jenn to feel slighted, very frustrating. I did freaking better when I had feaking WEBTV. I just left one as well. Apparently they are reviewed prior to showing up online, so you're probably fine.

I'm glad that Dev/Furball and I got to settle our differences a few years back... and discover we were secretly cousins... lots of good memories going back fifteen years... trying to focus on those instead of being sad for Dev's wife and kids... such a crushing loss... rest in peace, Dev...

David's story may sadly be over, but Cobie and I are determined to give his characters a proper send-off at some point. He and I are privy to what he had planned for them, and we know Dev would want us to follow thru. And we will do so....eventually.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Dev and I also had some plans in mind for one of his characters - Angdar Fel. I want to wrap that up too, eventually. Angdar has become very closely linked to many of my own characters.

I found out about David's passing while I was on the road and couldn't respond right away. David was a great guy and not only his family but his friends have lost out on a great person as well. We facebooked more than Legion worlded, I have to admit. But he was always upbeat and a joy to be friends with, even on our limited contact. He is missed.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

I'm back from the funeral home. Jenn wanted me to pass on her gratitude for all the support she's gotten from the group. It means so much to the family. She said their daughter Hannah is interested in joining. I met his mom and dad. He got his geeky side from his father, for sure. He told me about their mutual love for the late, lamented comic strip "Arnold," one of the first things they shared. He appreciated that I was wearing a "Calvin & Hobbes" tie and my comic book socks for Dave. He said they were perfect. Quis, the flowers were the best display there. Here are a couple photos. There were lilies, but they had to take them out because Jenn and Hannah are allergic. It was a small but crowded room. Dave left behind a lot of people who loved him. ![[Linked Image]](http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h64/ericthegrn/IMG_0747.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h64/ericthegrn/IMG_0748.jpg)

She said their daughter Hannah is interested in joining. When/if she is old enough (You have to be 13 to post online, I know this because I spent most of my adolescence online), could we give Dev's characters to her? It would be a noble gesture and I benefited greatly from guidance I got online because my father was largely absent from my life during that time (thankfully he is still with us).

I don't know how old she is, but I'm pretty sure she's older than 13. I'll be sure to let Jenn know. We do get a bit ... ribald. Someone else mentioned their son, John, has taken up writing, but he's younger than Hannah so might not be 13 -- or even interested in joining. But I was thinking it might be nice if we can collect some of his stuff to send to them. I don't keep up with that side of the board, so I don't know if that's feasible.

Yeah, a couple of us were talking the other day about Dev wanting her to join when she was old enough. My guess is she's probably still a bit young for the overall tone of this board, but as far as I'm concerned she has a place here whenever she's ready.

Thanks for representing us and sharing the pictures of Quis' arrangement and card, Eric.
We'll have to go through Dev's stuff and see what would be nice to share with his family.

Thanks Seymour for the pictures and for representing Legion World

A tragedy, gone way too soon from this world and real life. That was a wonderful gesture, sending flowers and Seymour attending the funeral (appropriately dressed).
Rest in peace and find your place in the multiverse, Dev.

Just in my thoughts today as I heard someone say the word "tense," and it reminded me of the old Ambush Bug joke, "A monster bummer making me tense to the max." For half a second I thought, "Heh... Dev would totally get that" before my memory caught up. A year plus gone, thank you again for having been my friend.
