So do I. If I'm going to treat myself, I'm going to have something I truly love.

I would like some stout now.

Actually, I would really like to exercise but I got bogged down studying.

There is a brand of stout called Old Rasputin. I was out with some friends once and someone asked if it came in a light version. I joked that it did and it was called Anastasia. grin

LOL

Very cute, Rocky.

Like Anastasia, my maternal great-grandparents were born in Russia.

I studied Chinese literature in elementary and high school. I hated it.

I tried to learn Chinese (Mandarin) once. I know just a very few words. I have trouble wrapping my mind around a non-alphabetic language.

The way the words are written does not give the slightest clue to how they are pronounced.

Right. Although I don't speak Greek or Russian, I understand their alphabets and can sound out the words. I learn words by seeing them, so non-alphabetic languages really confuse me.

I've never really tried to learn Hebrew. That would be an interesting challenge, because their alphabet is so different.

I love that Talok VIII has a number in its name. We should change Earth to Sol III.

It reminds me of the classical element.

The problem with the name of our planet is you have to translate into Latin to get the demonym, Terran. Neither the old word earthling nor the Bronze Age-era DC word Earthian really work.

I like Sol III. It reminds me that there's a much bigger universe out there. One that we should be further on the way to exploring.

You could go with Terra III but people would just think it was a Teen Titans resurrection.

I miss Terra III, and Amanda Conner's art in general.
