It's a head-scratcher for sure. Especially since they are relatively close to the time jump that would greatly benefit the suspension of disbelief for the character. And not that they haven't swapped roles (Andrea/Micchone/Carol), but this character is pretty key to at least the incitement of the next confrontation on the horizon.
Khary Payton was a late announcement for Terrificon at Mohegan Sun's new expo center. I was already getting my niece an autograph opportunity with Greg Cipes, the voice of Beast Boy in TEEN TITANS GO!, and she wanted King Ezekial's autograph because he's also been the voice of Cyborg for over 10 years. He signed a still of Cyborg for her, and made such an impression on all of us (Mack, Mom, and I) that I sprung for the photo op with him. Great guy, and he definitely knows how to work an audience!
I love Khary on TWD and as the voice of Cyborg! He's been a real bright spot on TWD in what has generally otherwise felt like a steep quality decline the last few years. I'm glad you got to meet him!
Me too, Pal! He was one of, if not THE, highlight of the day for us! (And I met and got stuff signed by Starlin and Alan Davis!) One of my nurses from my infusion center, also a big TWD fan, was there with three of her boys. She took the second picture I posted. We all thought he was great!
