Looking forward to one more day before some annual leave!
But mainly hoping that Tracker's sore throat doesn't extend beyond "mildly". I could sympathise more if I was to eat Ice Cream too, couldn't I?

The throat is less sore but a little scratchy. Ice cream still might be the best remedy. Try some as a preventative, thoth.

Making out my grocery list. It needs to be a bit more detailed than normal, as Mom's going to run and grab everything for me in the AM. It's supposed to rain all night into the morning, and it's a hassle transferring in and out of the car from my chair in *dry* weather, LOL That, and my buddy Mike's coming by to pick up his comics-- our monthly ritual; He brings me money, coffee and a breakfast sandwich in exchange for my DCBS discount on his comics.

Grocery list: doctors got me on this stupid diet where they take away everything that might cause a problem, see if the problem goes away, then reintroduce bits at a time. All I need to do is stay on the diet about 4 weeks. I'm failing miserably.
OK, not miserably by most people's measure but if I eat one thing not on the list of allowables, I feel I'm cheating. It's not like the list of allowables is so awful, I just don't know how to buy and cook that stuff in meaningful fashion and I refuse to do oatmeal or eggs three times a day and I'm REALLY tired of brown rice. I'm tired of any rice. I don't even want to deal with people named Rice.
hmm, there's an idea. Eggs IN the oatmeal.... might work.

Have a friend who does that, eggs in oatmeal. Swears by it. I prefer peanut butter in oatmeal with some cinnamon.
It rains almost every day during evening rush hour here. The highways crossing the Philippine capital are well-lit parking lots. I am enjoying free parkig right now.

I'm wondering if I've ever had a sandwich for breakfast. Surely.... but .... no, I don't think so. Still haven't had peanut butter either. I must shake off this sheltered life! If I'm not careful, I'll be sitting in on a Friday night reading comics and doing laundry...oh rats... Hopefully I've caught this in time, thanks to LW's p riceless posts (sorry Blocky )

Relaxing with the family and watching NCIS on netflix.
Watched Wallander on netflix and man I just wanted to slit my own wrists. God what an absolutely depressing series.

Binge re-watching Are You Being Served? and loving it!!! I have to say, a lot of it holds up really well! (I watched it as a kid and, man, I did not get most of the jokes!) That said, some bits are a bit rough to watch...

Watching Lake Erie head for my basement again. Been a heck of a year for winds out of Canada. AND, now that it's cold, I find the last time in June when the lake found the basement it knocked out my furnace. Heating by oven. Good thing my house is smaller than most apartments.
Mentioned in a shout that the city dug up the park across the street in order to put in a park. A half million dollar "catch-bason" that's supposed to filter rain run-off from the streets and parking lots before they hit the lake, but when they re-did the parking lot, they never designed it to drain towards the dirt so now it puddles or drains to the Lake and the streets still flood instead of drain to the park AND, the pretty little catch basin they dug into the park has new nice expensive trees.... in the middle. So now they're buried in flood from the water pouring in the other way from the Lake, which when the wind shifts will mix with all the street run-off and head back into the lake, or my basement.
Government, bah!

Getting pissed after being stuck at the same intersection for half an hour. it rains a little, the stoplights go out, the people directing traffic don't have a clue what they're doing...
