60 is the typical retirement age here in the Philippines.

I will be eligible to retire from my job in six years, when I turn 52.

Many more people are starting to work part time jobs at stores after retiring from full time careers

Working full time can be a drain. If you can support yourself with a part time job why not?

While I may retire when eligible, I intend to keep working at another job when that happens.

I haven't thought about retirement yet. There are many things I still want to do.

But I do think we both have a long enough time ahead of us to do plenty

The March Hare is one of four characters (the others being the Mad Hatter, Alice's cat, and Alice herself) to appear in both Alice books. In Through the Looking-Glass , he is called "Haigha".

I got him confused with the footman. I also don't quite remember who kept getting suppressed.

The Hatter appears as "Hatta" in the Through the Looking-Glass . It's not explicitly stated that Haigha and Hatta are the March Hare and the Hatter, but it is heavily implied.

I have an illustrative copy. It was clear that the characters were identical.

John Tenniel's illustrations make it clear. It's only implied in the text.

1971's "Every Picture Tells a Story" is justifiably Rod Stewart's most celebrated album, with his signature hit "Maggie May" only one of eight wonderful songs. Long before he became the jet-setting schlock-meister that people love to hate, he was IMO quite a good songwriter and an excellent interpreter of other people's songs -- for me, "Every Picture"'s highlight is the cover of Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow Is a Long Time".

John Denver wrote the song "Leaving on a Jet Plane" in 1966. It was then covered by the Chad Mitchell Trio, Spanky and Our Gang, and, most famously, by Peter, Paul and Mary.

Chantal Kreviazuk also covered "Leaving on a Jet Plane". Unfortunately, her version was not very good and was tied into the dumb 1998 summer blockbuster "Armageddon". But the movie's soundtrack did have this overlooked gem from my heroine Patty Smyth:

John Denver was the first popular singer I ever saw in a stadium-type concert. There have only been a few.

Denver Pyle was best known for playing Uncle Jesse Duke on the Dukes of Hazzard, but before that played Briscoe Darling Jr. on the Andy Griffith Show.
