Well, it does have pigs and frogs dating, as well as bears and humans. Interspecies relationships might give the wrong message... create a whole generation of bestiality deviants.

And Gonzo is clearly not right in the head. I bet he's on drugs!

Kermit was also a regular on Sesame Street back in the day. He did a series of sketches where he was a TV reporter interviewing characters from nursery rhymes.

I think Kermit is the only character who appeared in both Muppets and Sesame Street.

As a regular, yes. Big Bird and Ernie and Bert made guest appearances on The Muppet Show.

Now that Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie and the others are owned by Disney, such crossovers are less likely in the future. Kermit's SS segments were pulled years ago.

Kermit's SS segments were pulled years ago. For those just dropping into the thread, revelations about Kermit's past came as quite a shock. Then I scrolled up...

Touche Turtle and his dog sidekick Dum-Dum were among the many Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters introduced in the 1960s.
For some reason, a Spanish-dubbed line from one of their cartoons has stuck with me: "Dum-Dum, las pastillas!" (Translation: "Dum-Dum, the pills!")

Touche Turtle was funny.
I also liked Ricochet Rabbit.

Ah, Sheriff Bing-Bing-Bing Ricochet Rabbit! His sidekick was Deputy Droopalong Coyote.

The Hanna-Barbera funny animal cartoons of the '60s are underappreciated.

Your birthday is not listed on your LW or FB profile, but it's garnet if you were born in January.

I must have misremembered, or else the list I recalled was wrong.
My birthstone should be citrine or topaz.

Yeah, I thought I remembered your birthday being in November. My birthstone would either be peridot or sardonyx.
