I always seem to cut myself when I shave my face.
Keep up with what I've been watching lately! "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

I was in a car with a friend once when she started driving the wrong direction down a one-way street. The old "I'm only going one way" line came up.

The 1950 - 1967 panel show What's My Line? is far too little appreciated. In addition to me, both Eryk Davis Ester and Quislet, Esq. are fans.

All right! More people need to see that show. Whole episodes are on YouTube.

One of WML's lasting contributions to our lexicon is the phrase "Is it bigger than a breadbox?". This was coined by Steve Allen when he was a regular panelist because the questions asked had to be of the yes/no type.

I wonder what has happened to bread storage since then.

How do people store bread? I have a great breadbox, colour themed with other kitchen items. It would be odd not to have one.

We used to put bread in the fridge, but I read that is not the way to go.
Now we just place the bread under a sort-of mosquito net.
yes, dengue fever is a real danger here. Buy a mosquito net now!

You could put a mosquito net over a nice looking bread bin.

My grandmother had a bread bin in one of the drawers in her kitchen.

We would probably not keep food in the drawers unless they were in bins or cans. Chance of cockroaches and the occasional rat.

This was in Massachusetts. The cool climate lessens the chances of such things.
