At first I assumed your character was a SENTIENT humanoid. What really tripped me up was assuming your character appeared during the Legion's time.
Okay, I haven't thought of a character yet but ask away...

I thought the "can't fly a starship" question early on might have helped, and I tried to give a bit of a hint with the "not verbally" expressing anti-Legion sentiment bit, but overall it just seemed like no one seemed to zero in on it until you got the idea that he didn't appear in the Legion's time.
Anyway, did your character appear preboot?
