Welcome, Fuzzy B!!! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Just a quick question: where should I go for continuity help? Just have some questions about what's still canon for the Retroboot Legion after the Earth-2 implication at the end of the New 52 series is all. I don't know if we have ALL the answers, but we can sure as hell speculate with the best of 'em! However, if I recall correctly, there may be a FEW specific details that our man Levitz confirmed here and there. There wasn't a lot, but maybe some folks here can recall what little info Levitz parsed out. Mostly, it's all pretty "fuzzy" (natch! )....
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Belated welcomes, Will. Enjoy, put yer feet up, grab yer intoxicating beverage of personal choice, and dive in. Never fear. Be kind, show interest and compassion, and you'll have a grand old time.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

Back again after a crazy 6 years, including several moves, diabetes and multiple complications, and recent cataract surgery (left eye 3 weeks back, and my right eye this Monday)... don't know if anyone remembers me?
And not sure how I can catch up with things in here, but I'll give it a try.

HI Seth,
Welcome back. I remember the name even though I don't think we interacted much.
Good luck with the eye surgery.

Good luck with the eye surgery. Well I see long-distance better than I have in over 30 years, but still trying to adjust to the distance between "need my reading glasses" and "don't need them".

What Quis said. Welcome back, Seth, and I hope the surgery goes off without a hitch.
And as a Mano fangirl, I love your avatar.

And as a Mano fangirl, I love your avatar. I already had the surgeries, but thanks anyway. And considering this character is based on an expanded-background postboot Mano... it was an appropriate avatar.

Postboot Mano was one of the best reinventions of a Preboot villain IMO.

Mano is my favorite Fatal Five member so you got a friend in me, Seth. Welcome back!
Keep up with what I've been watching lately! "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

Seth, as I intimated in the Shoutbox, I certainly remember you and continued to utilize your character after you were gone. He has what I think is a beautiful story arc that builds on the work you did with him here. I tried to do the character as much justice as possible with what info you provided. I never knew whether what I did is anything like what you would ever have done, but the character entranced me to such a degree that I couldn't leave him in limbo. Anyway, Seth has a role to play in two large "novellas" we did and had a feature role in one I did by myself set in between the two. The first novella was "Omnia mutantur nos et mutamur in illis", which was set shortly after the roleplay you participated in called "Invasion!". You actually contributed at least one post to Omnia. Since a core of posters were determined to finish and tie together the story, we tried to make everyone's contributions matter and fit in. That meant Seth would play his part. And that he did with a group of Outsiders who helped save Legion World in a battle on its streets. Seth next figured significantly into "The Covenant", a story I wrote that followed many of those outsider characters, including Seth, into a covert mission that the LMB could not know about. It worked to explore a huge dangling plot from Omnia and set up a larger story called.... "The Lord of the Oval", the second novella, which told the biggest story ever in LMB history. A big chunk of that story involved paying off the story set up by Covenant. In the process Seth gets a significant role and an ending (for now) to his story. I will say that I didn't kill him off, but I thought it was a nice, beautiful--dare I say romantic?--arc for him. So, if you have time, look these over, and let me know what you think. You might even want to start in the middle with Covenant, which gives you a good idea where Seth had been and where he might be going. It's the smallest of the three and the one that is most focused on Seth's group in its comparative brevity. If you're curious for more, work your way back to Omnia and forward to Oval. I'm a bit nervous because I took liberties and, of course, there was no way I could know the character as well as you do. But I never knew whether you'd eventually return, and I felt pretty passionate about where I took the character. So I went for it. In any case, it's very good to see you back! And at the very least, you now know that you had more impact here than you might have imagined! Welcome back!!!
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

I remember writing a scene or two with your character in The Lord of the Oval. Postboot Mano was such a compelling character. Hope the cataract surgery goes well!

Welcome back, Seth! It's always great when Legionnaires come home.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

You could scarcely make things any more perplexing and contradictory than they already are, FB.

Hello everyone. Been a Legion fan since '72. My mother can tell you that I used to actually call the DC offices in NY after I received my subscription in the mail asking when the next issue was coming out. I was 7 years old at the time. Excited to see the community's thoughts and love for Legion.

Since shout box posts don't last forever... Welcome to Legion World J! Meanwhile, back in 1972..."Did you hear that kid on the phone? That's our future right there! That's the enthusiasm we have to match! Get me Cockrum!" Who knew?

That's the enthusiasm we have to match! Get me Cockrum!" Who knew? The fact that I lived to tell that story after my mother got the long distance phone bill is testament to my future love for Legion. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hello there, J. Welcome to Legion World. You'll find lots of fans here of the late, great Dave Cockrum and of his contributions to the Legion mythos in particular. As much as I love his subsequent work for Marvel and his revitalization of the X-Men in particular, there is a part of me that wishes he had stayed on the Legion several more years, at least long enough to have benefitted from the editorial and administrative shake-ups at DC in the second half of the 70s. Oh, the things Levitz could have done with Cockrum as his main collaborator..."Earthwar" drawn by Cockrum, the time-travel epic that Cockrum had wanted to do guest-starring Superboy, Flying Fox, and Wonder Girl...such wonderful possibilities.
