Does anyone care for a sip of Aunt Ida's Special Lemonade while I read them some Edward Carpenter?

Isn't Mr. Carpenter's work a trifle risque and upset our delicate sensibilities?

Oh my, I hope we won't have a disagreement here. My constitution can't possibly bear the conflict.

My dear, why don't you retire to the sopha just in case you start to feel faint. Mr. Rockhopper Lad and myself are not disagreeing. We are merely discussing appropriate reading material.

My heavens, Mr Braniac, I didn’t see you there. You are too kind. And these jodhpurs, they are so tight. Do you mind if I undo a button or two?

I just dropped by to borrow the fainting couch, for I am overcome with delight on hearing that Mr. Fellow was here.

My Dear Mr. Fellow, we are only too happy to have you make yourself as comfortable as possible.

My Dear Ms. Cramer, Mr. Quislet, may I suggest you both join me on the fainting sopha? It seems we are all overjoyed at Mr. Fellow's visit.

I have some of Aunt Ida's lemonade to supplement your medicinal sherry, Mr. Quislet. I also have some wines with hints of tropical fruit from my native Philippines. May I invite you all to join me for a glass?

Why, this drink seems to have made me a little giddy. I must needs recline.

Would it be unkind of me to remark that I am concerned about the lack of vigour in the parlour. Despite the plethora of sofas and chaises, such an abundance of fainting is a smidge unusual. Could it have anything to do with Aunt Ida's lemonade? Might I suggest we all go for a row on the pond? I just happen to have a parasol that I purchased for a friend on a recent trip to Paris. I'm certain she would not mind if it were used by Lady Cramer or even Lord Quislet.

My Dear Mr. Fellow,

A boating excursion sounds most delightful, parasol or not.

Mr. Brainiac, Please make sure that your bathing attire is acceptably modest.

Perhaps literature? Perchance, my Good Lady Hebistand, you have read Miss Bronte's Jane Eyre?

Oh, my! Do forgive my blushing, good sir, but I dare confess that my tastes in reading run toward the declasse. Newspaper cartoons and penny dreadfuls and such...so very improper for a lady of my station. blush
